东航公告表示，拟定增募资不超过150亿元，用于引进38架飞机及补充流动资金，新引进飞机预计于2022年-2024年交付。
公告显示，计划引进的38架飞机，包括4架C919飞机、24架ARJ21-700飞机、6架A350-900飞机及4架B787-9飞机，本次募集资金引进的飞机已取得民航局批复的规划文件。
从公告来看，C919的目录单价是0.99亿美元，人民币目录单价是6.53亿元，这个价格要比欧美的大飞机要便宜一些，波音、空客同类型的飞机目录价通常在1亿美元多点，具体看不同的配置，国产C919大飞机价格有一定优势，当然也不会便宜太多，毕竟新技术更多。
东航是国产大飞机 C919 全球首家启动用户，已与中国商飞签署首批 C919 大型客机购机合同。
国产的C919大飞机是由中国商用飞机有限责任公司研制的一款168-190座级窄体干线客机，专为短程到中程的航线设计，属于单通道150座级，标配168个座位，最多可容纳190个座位，学名为“中短程双发动机窄体民用运输机”。
根据C919大型客机总设计师吴光辉的消息，2019年6架C919试飞飞机已全部投入取证试飞工作，在上海、西安、东营、南昌等地的六机四地试飞工作正顺利进行。目前，国内外用户达到28家，订单总数达到815架。
