宁波大学海运学院简介

宁波大学是一所在改革开放中崛起的新兴地方综合性大学，由浙江省和宁波市共建共管。1986年由世界船王包玉刚先生捐资创立，邓小平同志亲自题写校名。建校之初由浙江大学、复旦大学、中国科学技术大学、北京大学、原杭州大学五校对口援建，高起点地开始办学历程。1996年，原宁波大学、宁波师范学院和浙江水产学院宁波分院三校合并，组建新的宁波大学。2000年后，又有宁波海洋学校、宁波林业学校、宁波师范学校等陆续并入。学校于1992年被列为全国高校招生第一批录取院校，1995年首批通过原国家教委本科教学工作合格评价，2000年被浙江省人民政府列为省重点建设大学，2003年接受教育部普通高校本科教学工作水平评估并获得优秀等级，2005年硕士点突破50个，科研经费突破1亿元，2006年度获得国家科技进步二等奖1项，教育部自然科学一等奖1项，国家精品课程2门，2007年被增列为博士学位授予单位，工程力学、通信与信息系统和水产养殖等3个学科专业被列为博士学位授权学科专业。

校园设备

宁波大学位于宁波高教园区北区，占地2700余亩，校舍总建筑面积近72万平方米。学校各类设施齐备，办学条件优良，建有先进的计算机网络系统，图书馆为浙江省高校高等教育数字资源中心宁波分中心，现有藏书265万册，其中纸质图书142万册，电子图书123万册。学校地势开阔，甬江蜿蜒，树木葱茏，楼宇隽永，是求学治学的极佳场所。

在学校的发展过程中，包玉刚、邵逸夫、包玉书、曹光彪、李达三、赵安中、汤于翰、顾国华、包陪庆、朱英龙等海内外“宁波帮”人士和王宽诚教育基金会等给予了大量捐助和广泛支持。二十年来，60多位宁波帮人士捐资近4亿元人民币，帮助学校建设了一批教学和科研大楼、造就了一支高水平师资队伍，为学校高起点办学、跨越式发展提供了有力的帮助和支持。如今，“宁波帮”人士对学校的关心和帮助已从一个家族到一个群体，从第一代到第二代、第三代，源远流长，历久弥新，已成为他们表达和弘扬爱国爱乡、造福桑梓伟大激情的一个重要载体。众多“宁波帮”的捐资助学也已成为学校的一大办学优势，同时，他们重教兴学、造福桑梓的精神极大地丰富了学校校园文化的独特内涵。1993年，宁波大学还首开海峡两岸学生组团交流的先河，大学生互访至今已达12次。

专业设置

学校现已发展成为一所学科门类齐全的综合性大学，涵盖了经、法、教、文、史、理、工、农、医、管等十大学科门类。现有普通全日制在校本科生23000多名，研究生1500余名，外国留学生170余名。设有19个学院，拥有3个博士授权点，2个一级学科硕士点，54个二级学科硕士点，现有农业推广硕士、工商管理硕士(MBA)、法律硕士(J.M)、公共管理硕士(MPA)、教育硕士(MEA)等5个专业硕士学位点，68个本科专业。建有1个国家重点实验室培育基地，1个省部共建教育部重点实验室，1个教育部工程研究中心，1个国家体育总局体育社科研究基地，1个省社会科学重点研究基地，2个浙江省重点实验室，2个浙江省高新技术研究开发中心，10个宁波市重点实验室，3个宁波市工程技术中心和一批科研机构;建有13个省重点学科，其中省“重中之重”学科2个，省属高校人文社会科学重点研究基地1个;省重点专业9个，市重点专业4个，已基本形成综合性大学的学科建设体系和优势特色学科群。

宁波大学海运学院是交通部向国际海事组织(IMO)推荐的我国首批7所高等航海院校之一，也是香港船东会第一届中国海运院校论坛常务委员会副主席单位，同时也是宁波大学最具鲜明行业特色及与区域经济结合最紧密的学院之一。副校长冯志敏教授兼任学院院长。

发展历程

宁波大学海运学院的前身为1986年设置的原浙江水产学院航海系的海洋船舶驾驶专业和1987年设置的原浙江水产学院机械系的轮机管理专业。1991年，轮机管理专业从浙江水产学院机械系里分离出来，并入航海系管理。1994年，轮机管理专业又从航海系里分离出来，成立轮机系。1996年10月，浙江水产学院宁波分院与宁波大学合并，同年12月原浙江水产学院宁波分院航海系和轮机系合并成立宁波大学海运学院。2001年5月，原国家海洋局所属的宁波海洋学校船舶类专业并入宁波大学海运学院。

师资力量

学院现有教职工60人，在编专任教师中教授、副教授占66%
，具有硕士及以上学位的占90%;持有甲类航区船长、轮机长等高级船员适任证书的教师占40%。有浙江省“新世纪151人才工程”第二层次人员1名、培养人员3名;浙江省有突出贡献的中青年科技人员1名;宁波市高校名师1名、培养对象1名;校重点学科带头人2名。学院现有在校研究生、本科生644人。

教学设备

学院具有完备的教学和科研设施，所属海运与物流实验教学中心现有仪器设备总值2千余万元，实验用房面积3800平方米。中心设置海运基础、海运专业和物流综合三个建制实验室，拥有大型船舶操纵模拟器、综合模拟驾驶台、轮机模拟器、主机性能与测试、物流综合操作和港口管理等30多个处于国内领先水平的实验分室。学院资料室面积414.39平方米，现有各类图书资料近2500册，中英版各种海图6000余张，电子海图桌面教学系统14套。

人才培养

学院根据国际海事组织的《 STCW78/95
公约》和《中华人民共和国船员教育和培训质量管理规则》，建立了《宁波大学船员教育和培训质量体系》，对整个教学过程进行管理和监督，确保学生的培养质量。学院依托综合性大学的外语、计算机等基础学科优势，加强基础教育，注重学生的人文素质教育和综合素质培养;坚持知识、能力、素质协调发展，构筑新的人才培养模式。学院围绕“船舶与海洋工程”和“交通运输工程”二个一级学科建设，突出海洋与港航特色，促进学科交叉和协调发展;以教学为中心，积极开展科学研究和社会服务，通过学科建设带动专业和团队建设，是我国航运业、物流业高层次人才的重要培养基地之一。

A brief introduction to the School of Shipping, Ningbo University

Ningbo University is a new local comprehensive university rising in the reform and opening up, which is jointly built and managed by Zhejiang Province and Ningbo City. Founded by Mr. Bao Yugang, the world ship king, in 1986, Comrade Deng Xiaoping personally wrote the name of the school. At the beginning of its establishment, the school was built with the assistance of Zhejiang University, Fudan University, University of Science and Technology of China, Peking University and former Hangzhou University. In 1996, the former Ningbo University, Ningbo normal University and Ningbo Branch of Zhejiang Fisheries University merged to form a new Ningbo University. After 2000, Ningbo Ocean School, Ningbo Forestry School and Ningbo normal School were merged one after another. The school was listed as the first batch of colleges and universities to enroll students in 1992, passed the qualification evaluation of undergraduate teaching work of the former State Education Commission in 1995, and was listed as a key construction university of Zhejiang Province by the people’s Government of Zhejiang Province in 2000. in 2003, it accepted the evaluation of the undergraduate teaching level of ordinary colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education and won the excellent grade. In 2005, the number of master’s degree programs exceeded 50, and the scientific research funding exceeded 100 million yuan. In 2006, it won the second prize of national scientific and technological progress. The Ministry of Education has one first prize in natural science and two national high-quality courses, which were added as doctoral degree awarding units in 2007. Engineering mechanics, communication and information systems and aquaculture are listed as doctoral degree authorized disciplines.

Campus equipment

Ningbo University is located in the north of Ningbo higher Education Park, covering an area of more than 2700 mu, with a total construction area of nearly 720000 square meters. The school has all kinds of facilities, excellent conditions for running a school, and an advanced computer network system. The library is the Ningbo Branch Center of Zhejiang University higher Education Digital Resource Center, with a collection of 2.65 million books, including 1.42 million paper books and 1.23 million e-books. With its open terrain, winding Yongjiang River, verdant trees and meaningful buildings, it is an excellent place to study.

In the course of the development of the school, Bao Yugang, Shaw, Bao Yushu, Cao Guangbiao, Li Dasan, Zhao Anzhong, Tang Yuhan, Gu Guohua, Bao Puiqing, Zhu Yinglong and other “Ningbo gang” people at home and abroad, as well as Wang Kuancheng Education Foundation, have given a lot of donations and extensive support. Over the past 20 years, more than 60 Ningbo people have donated nearly 400 million yuan to help the school build a number of teaching and research buildings, create a team of high-level teachers, and provide strong help and support for the school’s high starting point and great-leap-forward development. The school has developed into a comprehensive university with a full range of disciplines, covering ten disciplines, such as classics, law, teaching, arts, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management and so on. At present, there are more than 23000 full-time undergraduates, more than 1500 graduate students and more than 170foreign students. There are 19 colleges, including 3 doctoral programs, 2 master’s degrees in first-tier disciplines and 54 master’s degrees in second-tier disciplines. There are 5 professional master degrees, including Master of Agricultural extension, Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Law (J.M), Master of Public Administration (MPA), Master of Education (MEA), and 68 undergraduate majors. There are 1 national key laboratory training base, 1 provincial key laboratory jointly built by the Ministry of Education, 1 Ministry of Education Engineering Research Center, 1 State Sports General Administration Sports Social Science Research Base, 1 Provincial Social Science key Research Base, 2 Zhejiang key Laboratories, 2 Zhejiang High and New Technology Research and Development Center, 10 Ningbo key Laboratories, 3 Ningbo Engineering and Technology Center and a number of scientific research institutions There are 13 provincial key disciplines, including 2 provincial “top priority” disciplines, 1 key research base of humanities and social sciences in provincial universities, 9 provincial key majors and 4 municipal key specialties. the discipline construction system and advantageous characteristic subject groups of comprehensive universities have been basically formed.

The School of Maritime Transport of Ningbo University is one of the first seven maritime colleges recommended by the Ministry of Communications to the International Maritime Organization (IMO). It is also the vice chairman of the standing Committee of the first China Maritime College Forum of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association. It is also one of the colleges with the most distinctive industry characteristics and the closest integration with the regional economy of Ningbo University. Professor Feng Zhimin, Vice President, is also the dean of the College.

The course of development

The predecessor of the Maritime College of Ningbo University is the marine ship driving major of the Navigation Department of Zhejiang Fisheries University in 1986 and the marine engineering management major of the Mechanical Department of Zhejiang Fisheries University in 1987. In 1991, the major of marine engineering management was separated from the Mechanical Department of Zhejiang Fisheries University and incorporated into the management of the Navigation Department. In 1994, the major of marine engineering management was separated from the navigation department and the engine department was established. In October 1996, Ningbo Branch of Zhejiang Fisheries University merged with Ningbo University. In December of the same year, the Navigation Department and engine Department of Ningbo Branch of Zhejiang Fisheries University merged to form the Maritime College of Ningbo University. In May 2001, the ship major of Ningbo Ocean School, formerly owned by the State Oceanic Administration, was merged into the Maritime College of Ningbo University.

Teachers’ strength

There are 60 faculty members in the college, and professors and associate professors account for 66% of the full-time teachers.

90% of them have master’s degree or above, and 40% of teachers hold certificates of competency for senior crew members such as captain and chief engineer of Class A navigation area. There are 1 personnel of the second level and 3 trainers of the “New Century 151 Talent Project” in Zhejiang Province, 1 young and middle-aged scientific and technological personnel with outstanding contributions in Zhejiang Province, 1 famous teacher and 1 training object in colleges and universities in Ningbo, and 2 leaders of key disciplines in the university. The college now has 644 graduate students and undergraduates.

Teaching equipment

The college has complete teaching and research facilities, the existing equipment of the shipping and logistics experimental teaching center has a total value of more than 20 million yuan, and the experimental room area is 3800 square meters. The center has set up three organizational laboratories, namely, shipping foundation, shipping specialty and logistics integration. It has more than 30 leading experimental rooms in China, such as large ship handling simulator, integrated simulation bridge, marine engine simulator, mainframe performance and testing, logistics integrated operation and port management. The college reference room covers an area of 414.39 square meters, with nearly 2500 books and materials, more than 6000 charts in Chinese and English editions, and 14 sets of electronic chart desktop teaching system.

Relying on the advantages of foreign language, computer and other basic disciplines of comprehensive universities, the college strengthens basic education, pays attention to students’ humanistic quality education and comprehensive quality training, adheres to the coordinated development of knowledge, ability and quality, and constructs a new talent training model.
