莲塘一中

莲塘一中创办于1956年春，1995年被评为江西省优秀重点中学，2003年被评为南昌市首批十大名校。学校以其学风浓厚、教风严谨、办学有方、人才辈出在社会上享有很高的声誉，是莘莘学子实现梦想的摇篮，是教学精英施展才华的沃土。

学校于2005年9月搬迁至县城新区澄湖西路中段，新校区占地270余亩，静态投资1.2亿，建有标准教室115个，可供5000余学生就读。校园内绿树成荫，环境优雅，教育教学设施齐全，是一所现代化园林式学校，能为学生的学习生活提供一流的教育服务。2007年7月，学校初、高中剥离，办学目标转为精心打造优质高中教育，树立江西省高中教育的典范。2008年6月，学校被省政府定为新疆克州班教学基地。

学校现有教职工418人(含退休教师112人)，其中特级教师2名，全国优秀班主任3名，全国优秀教师5名，全国优秀教育工作者1名，省级劳模1名，省市县学科带头人40名，省骨干教师65名，中学高级教师121名，一级教师100名，教育硕士12名(至2008年6月在职攻读硕士学位的有20人)，本科学历286名，专科学历8名，强大的师资力量为学校发展奠定了坚实的基础。

教育教学质量永远被视为学校的生命线。学校坚持以生为本，以“面向全体学生，成才先成人”为指导思想，突出德育，要求学生学会做人、学会做事、学会求知、学会合作，努力提高学生人文素养，实现学生素质的全面提升。尤其是近几年教育教学质量稳步攀升，教育教学成果更加突显，高考高分考生，一、二本上线人数逐年上升并稳居全省前列。先后有四十余位同学被清华大学录取。

Liantang No. 1 Middle School was founded in the spring of 1956. It was rated as an excellent key middle school in Jiangxi Province in 1995 and one of the first ten famous schools in Nanchang in 2003. The school enjoys a high reputation in the society because of its strong style of study, rigorous teaching style, good school running and the emergence of a large number of talents. it is the cradle for students to realize their dreams and the fertile ground for teaching elites to display their talents.

The school moved to the middle section of Chenghu West Road in the new district of the county in September 2005. the new campus covers an area of more than 270mu, with a static investment of 120 million, and has 115 standard classrooms for more than 5000 students. With shady trees, elegant environment and complete educational and teaching facilities, the campus is a modern garden-style school, which can provide first-class educational services for students’ study and life. In July 2007, the school was spun off from junior high school and senior high school, and the goal of running a school turned to carefully building high-quality high school education and setting up an example of high school education in Jiangxi Province. In June 2008, the school was designated as the teaching base of Kezhou class in Xinjiang by the provincial government.

The school now has 418 teaching staff (including 112 retired teachers), including 2 special-grade teachers, 3 national excellent head teachers, 5 national excellent teachers, 1 national excellent educator, 1 provincial model worker, 40 provincial, municipal and county discipline leaders, 65 provincial backbone teachers, 121 senior middle school teachers, 100 first-class teachers and 12 master of education (20 by June 2008). There are 286 undergraduate degrees and 8 junior college degrees. The strong faculty has laid a solid foundation for the development of the school.

The quality of education and teaching is always regarded as the lifeline of the school. The school insists on student-oriented, takes “facing all students, becoming talents first” as the guiding ideology, highlights moral education, requires students to learn to behave, learn to do things, learn to seek knowledge, learn to cooperate, and strive to improve students’ humanistic literacy. to achieve the overall improvement of students’ quality. Especially in recent years, the quality of education and teaching has risen steadily, and the results of education and teaching have become more prominent. the number of students with high marks in the college entrance examination and the number of students in primary and secondary universities have increased year by year and are firmly in the forefront of the province. More than 40 students have been admitted to Tsinghua University.

After more than 50 years of vicissitudes and great changes, through the unremitting efforts of several generations, Liantang No. 1 Middle School, which is rooted in the fertile soil of Changnan, has lived up to the high expectations of millions of folks, and remarkable achievements have been made in all aspects of work.
