  成都理工大学创办于1956年3月15日,初名成都地质勘探学院,经国务院(56)国三办习字第4号文批准建立,是我国为适应当时工业建设需要兴办的第三所地质院校。建校初期,高等教育部和地质部联合发文,以重庆大学地质系、西北大学和南京大学地质系工科部分为基础,同时抽调北京地质学院、东北地质学院部分干部教师组建成都地质勘探学院。学校组建后,原北京地质学院石油系、二系部分、三系整体,先后成建制迁入。成都地质勘探学院1958年更名为成都地质学院。成都地质学院1993年更名为成都理工学院。2001年经教育部批准,合并四川商业高等专科学校、有色金属地质职工大学,组建成都理工大学。学校先后由地质部、地质矿产部、国土资源部直属,2000年划转地方,成为中央与地方共建、以四川省人民政府管理为主的省属重点大学。2010年11月3日,国土资源部与四川省人民政府签署共建成都理工大学协议。2017年9月,学校进入国家一流学科建设高校行列。2019年12月26日,我校成为教育部与四川省共建的“双一流”建设高校。

  学校建校当年开始招收本科生,1960年开始招收研究生,1981年成为国家恢复学位制度后首批获得硕士学位授予权的高校,1984年获得博士学位授予权。经过60多年的建设与发展,学校已成为以理工为主,以地质、能源、资源科学、核技术、环境科学为优势,以化工、材料、电子、机械、信息科学、管理科学等学科专业为特色的多科性大学,拥有学士、硕士、博士三级学位授予权,教授和博士生导师任职资格审批权。学校在长期的办学实践中形成了“艰苦奋斗、奋发图强”的优良传统、“不甘人后、敢为人先”的进取精神、“穷究于理、成就于工”的治学理念。

  学校位于成都市主城区,地理位置优越,占地面积2887亩,校舍建筑面积97万平方米。现有全日制在校生36705人,其中本科生30788人,博、硕研究生5601人。设有17个教学学院、1个沉积地质研究院、1个地质调查研究院。另有1所独立学院(成都理工大学工程技术学院)。

  学校有71个本科招生专业,其中国家级一流专业8个,国家级特色专业8个,国家级专业综合改革项目4个,省级一流专业21个,省级特色专业12个,省级专业综合改革试点项目13个,省级应用型示范专业4个;学校是教育部“卓越工程师教育培养计划”高校,其中国家级“卓越工程师教育培养计划”试点专业(含独立招生方向)7个,省级“卓越工程师教育培养计划”试点专业19个,省级“卓越农林人才教育培养计划”试点专业1个,省级“卓越法律人才教育培养计划”试点专业1个,省级“卓越新闻传播人才教育培养计划”试点专业1个。

  学校拥有7个一级学科博士学位授权点,22个一级学科硕士学位授权点,15个硕士专业学位授权类别,学科专业涵盖理、工、文、管、经、法、哲、农、教、艺等10大学科门类。有1个一级学科国家重点学科(地质资源与地质工程)、3个二级学科国家重点学科(地质工程、矿产普查与勘探、地球探测与信息技术)、1个国家重点(培育)学科(矿物学、岩石学、矿床学)、14个省级重点学科(应用化学,环境工程,固体地球物理学,岩土工程,古生物学与地层学(含古人类学),信号与信息处理,构造地质学,地球化学,油气田开发工程,第四纪地质学,材料学,核技术与应用,管理科学与工程,矿物学、岩石学、矿床学)、1个省级重点(培育)学科(应用数学)。有1个学科(地球科学)进入ESI全球排名前1%行列,地质学进入国家“双一流”建设学科行列。

  学校现有教职员工3404人,其中,有教授(级)275人,副教授(级)613人。特聘中国科学院刘宝珺院士为名誉校长。柔性引智高端专家(院士)34人。截至2019年12月,获国家级人才称号和国家级人才计划的127人次,其中“国家杰出青年基金获得者”4人、“国家有突出贡献的中青年专家”3人、“国务院学科评议组成员”3人次、“中国青年科技奖”5人;获得省级人才称号和入选省级人才计划的325人次,其中四川省塔尖人才培养工程培养对象1人、四川省学术和技术带头人73人次;获全国优秀教师3人,国家教学名师1人,四川省教学名师7人,四川省优秀教师3人,四川省教书育人名师2人,四川省优秀教育工作者1人,四川省师德标兵1人,有1个国家级教学团队、6个四川省教学团队,获国家教学成果奖5项。

Chengdu University of Technology was founded on March 15, 1956 as Chengdu Institute of Geological Exploration. It was established with the approval of document Xizi No. 4 of the third Office of the State Council (56). It is the third geological college set up in China to meet the needs of industrial construction at that time. At the beginning of the establishment of the school, the Ministry of higher Education and the Ministry of Geology jointly issued a document based on the engineering departments of the Geology Department of Chongqing University, Northwestern University and Nanjing University. At the same time, some cadres and teachers of Beijing Institute of Geology and Northeast Institute of Geology were transferred to establish Chengdu Institute of Geological Exploration. After the establishment of the school, the petroleum department, the second department and the third department of the former Beijing Institute of Geosciences moved in successively. Chengdu Institute of Geological Exploration changed its name to Chengdu Institute of Geology in 1958. Chengdu Institute of Geology changed its name to Chengdu Institute of Technology in 1993. In 2001, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Chengdu University of Science and Technology was established by merging Sichuan College of Commerce and University of Nonferrous Metal Geology. The school is successively under the Ministry of Geology, the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of Land and Resources. In 2000, it was transferred to the local government and became a provincial key university jointly built by the central and local governments and mainly managed by the Sichuan Provincial people’s Government. On November 3, 2010, the Ministry of Land and Resources and the people’s Government of Sichuan Province signed an agreement on the co-construction of Chengdu University of Technology. In September 2017, the school entered the ranks of national first-class discipline construction universities. On December 26th, 2019, our school became a ldquo; double first-class & rdquo; construction university jointly built by the Ministry of Education and Sichuan Province.

The school began to enroll undergraduates in the year it was founded, and began to enroll postgraduates in 1960. It became the first batch of universities to obtain the right to grant master’s degree after the restoration of the degree system in 1981, and won the right to grant doctorate degree in 1984. After more than 60 years of construction and development, the school has become a science and technology-based university with the advantages of geology, energy, resource science, nuclear technology and environmental science. a multidisciplinary university characterized by chemical engineering, materials, electronics, machinery, information science, management science and other disciplines, with the right to grant bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees, and the right to examine and approve professors and doctoral supervisors. The school is located in the main urban area of Chengdu, with a superior geographical location, covering an area of 2887 mu and a school building area of 970000 square meters. At present, there are 36705 full-time students, including 30788 undergraduates and 5601 postgraduates. There are 17 teaching colleges, 1 Institute of Sedimentary Geology and 1 Institute of Geological Survey. There is also an independent college (School of Engineering and Technology, Chengdu University of Technology).

The school has 7 first-tier discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 22 first-tier discipline master degree authorization points, 15 master’s professional degree authorization categories, discipline majors include science, engineering, liberal arts, management, economics, law, philosophy, agriculture, education, art and other 10 disciplines. There are one first-level national key discipline (geological resources and geological engineering), three second-level national key disciplines (geological engineering, mineral survey and exploration, earth exploration and information technology), one national key (nurturing) discipline (mineralogy, petrology, mineral deposits), 14 provincial key disciplines (applied chemistry, environmental engineering, solid geophysics, geotechnical engineering). Paleontology and stratigraphy (including paleoanthropology), signal and information processing, structural geology, geochemistry, oil and gas field development engineering, Quaternary geology, material science, nuclear technology and application, management science and engineering, mineralogy, petrology, mineral deposits), a provincial key (nurturing) discipline (applied mathematics). One discipline (geoscience) has entered the top 1% of the ESI global rankings, and geology has entered the ranks of national-ldquo; double-first-class-rdquo; construction disciplines.

The school has 3404 faculty members, including 275 professors (grade) and 613 associate professors (grade). Academician Liu Baofeng of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is specially appointed as honorary president. There are 34 high-end experts (academicians) in flexible intelligence introduction.
