云南农业大学热带作物学院简介

云南农业大学热带作物学院，创办于1960年，校名为云南省热带亚热带经济作物学校，1963年停办;1980年恢复办学，更名为云南省热带作物学校;1998年，云南省热带作物学校与云南省农垦管理学校合并，更名为云南省热带农业工程学校;2004年7月升格为云南热带作物职业学院;2014年5月并入云南农业大学更名为云南农业大学热带作物学院。学院隶属于云南农业大学，本部设在普洱市思茅区，在西双版纳设有一校区，并在江城县康平镇设有教学科研基地。目前是全国唯一一所依托热区、面向全国、辐射东南亚，主要培养热带农业生产、管理、营销等技术应用型专门人才的高等职业院校。

现占地1674.6亩，其中老校区(洗马河校区)176.6亩、新校区(倚象校区)588亩、西双版纳校区26亩、江城县康平现代热带农业教学科研基地880亩。固定资产2.2亿元，在校学生3000余人。学院始终坚持服务热区经济社会发展和区域产业经济建设的办学定位，按照“内涵建设与外延拓展并举，建设高水平特色高职学院”的战略发展思路，“让学生满意、赢社会赞誉”的办学宗旨，“
服务、合作、创新、发展”的办学理念，“以人为本，德育为先，能力为重，全面发展”的教育教学理念，“质量立校、人才强校，管理活校、文化荣校、特色兴校”工作思路。学院全体师生秉承“重德、勤学、精业、笃行”的校训，“团结、守纪、求实、创新”的校风，“勤奋学习、勇于实践、注重能力、全面发展”的学风，以及“教书育人、为人师表、严谨治学、精益求精”的教风，“热心待人、热情工作、热爱生活”的热情文化，励精图治、矢志创业，2008年顺利通过教育部人才培养工作评估，2013年进入云南省高职高专特色骨干院校的行列，为热区培养3万多各层次专业技术和管理人才，毕业生深受社会欢迎，近三年毕业生年终就业率98%以上，为地方经济社会建设和产业发展做出了积极贡献，赢得了社会各界的广泛赞誉，被誉为“云南热区人才的摇篮”。

学院先后荣获省级文明单位、省级文明学校、省级平安校园、云南农垦先进学校、普洱市社会治安综合治理优秀单位、普洱市文明单位标兵、云南农垦先进党组织、云南农垦党风廉政建设先进单位、普洱市基层党建示范点单位等荣誉称号。

A brief introduction to the College of Tropical crops, Yunnan Agricultural University

The Tropical crops College of Yunnan Agricultural University, founded in 1960, was named Yunnan Tropical and Subtropical Economic crops School, which was closed in 1963; in 1980, it resumed running and changed its name to Yunnan Tropical crops School; in 1998, Yunnan Tropical crops School merged with Yunnan Land Reclamation Management School and changed its name to Yunnan Tropical Agricultural Engineering School; in July 2004, it was upgraded to Yunnan Tropical crop Vocational College. It was merged into Yunnan Agricultural University in May 2014 and changed its name to Tropical crops College of Yunnan Agricultural University. The college belongs to Yunnan Agricultural University, the headquarters is located in Simao District, Pu’er City, has a campus in Xishuangbanna, and has a teaching and research base in Kangping Town, Jiangcheng County. At present, it is the only higher vocational college in the country that relies on hot areas, faces the whole country and radiates Southeast Asia, mainly training applied technical talents in tropical agricultural production, management, marketing and so on.

It now covers an area of 1674.6 mu, including 176.6 mu of the old campus (Sima River campus), 588 mu of the new campus (Lixiang campus), 26 mu of Xishuangbanna campus, and 880mu of Kangping modern tropical agriculture teaching and research base in Jiangcheng County. Fixed assets of 220 million yuan, more than 3000 students. The college always adheres to the school-running orientation of serving the economic and social development of hot areas and the construction of regional industrial economy, in accordance with the strategic development idea of “connotative construction and extension development at the same time, building a high-level characteristic higher vocational college”, and the purpose of “satisfying students and winning social praise”. ”

The school-running concept of “service, cooperation, innovation and development”, the education and teaching concept of “people-oriented, moral education first, ability first, and all-round development”, and the working thinking of “setting up a school with quality and strong talents, managing a living school, cultural glory, and invigorating a school with characteristics”. Graduates are well received by the society. The year-end employment rate of graduates in the past three years is more than 98%, which has made a positive contribution to local economic and social construction and industrial development, and has won widespread praise from all walks of life. It is known as “the cradle of talents in Yunnan hot area”.

云南农业大学热带作物学院前身为省(部)级重点中专学校—云南省热带农业工程学校，二OO四年七月云南热带作物职业学院经云南省人民政府批准，升格为云南热带作物职业学院。
