湖南生物机电职业技术学院是由湖南省农业厅主办主管一所全日制公办普通高等院校。始建于1903，是湖湘大地唯一一所具有百年办学历史和深厚文化底蕴的高职学院。

校容校貌

学院占地面积 2070 亩，分两区一场，其中东湖校区(主校区)和马坡岭校区坐落于长沙市芙蓉区隆平高科技园内，毗邻湖南农业大学。占地975亩;产学研示范场位于望城县雷锋大道 7公里处，占地 1095 亩。

办学规模

学院教学机构设九系两部,即植物科技系、动物科技系、现代管理工程系、食品科学系、信息技术系、电子电气工程系、机械及自动化系、车辆工程系、人文科学系、体育与艺术课教学部、思想政治理论课教学部，开设40个专业。学院有中央财政支持的职业教育实训基地1个，国家精品课程1门，省级精品专业建设项目4个，省级精品课程2门，省级专业课教师专业技能教学水平认证培训基地建设项目1个，省级重点实习实训基地建设项目1项，省级教学团队3个。近年来，学院教师获省科技进步奖2项，获全国农业丰收奖1项，省农业丰收奖7项，省级以上教学成果奖27项，专利12项。

学生活动

学院现有东湖院团委、东湖校学生会、马坡院学生会等六个校级学生组织和舞部尚书.、书法协会.、英语协会、体育俱乐部、绿滨文学社等各种社团30余个，并经常举办各种文化体育活动。学生积极参加社会实践，获得了大量的社会经验，提高了学生的综合素质。

Hunan Vocational and Technical College of Biology and Mechatronics is a full-time public ordinary university sponsored by the Department of Agriculture of Hunan Province. Founded in 1903, it is the only higher vocational college in Hunan with a hundred-year history and profound cultural heritage.

School appearance

The college covers an area of 2070 mu and is divided into two districts, of which Donghu Campus (main Campus) and Mapoling Campus are located in Longping High-tech Park, Furong District, Changsha City, adjacent to Hunan Agricultural University. The industry-university-research demonstration site is located at 7 km of Lei Feng Avenue in Wangcheng County, covering an area of 1095 mu.

School scale

The teaching institutions of the college are divided into nine departments and two departments, namely, the Department of Plant Science and Technology, the Department of Animal Science, the Department of Modern Management Engineering, the Department of Food Science, the Department of Information Technology, the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, the Department of Machinery and Automation, the Department of vehicle Engineering, the Department of Humanities, the Department of physical Education and Art, and the Department of ideological and political Theory. The college has 1 vocational education training base supported by central finance, 1 national high-quality courses, 4 provincial high-quality professional construction projects, 2 provincial high-quality courses, 1 provincial professional skills teaching level certification and training base construction project, 1 provincial key practice and training base construction project, 3 provincial teaching teams. In recent years, college teachers have won 2 provincial science and technology progress awards, 1 national agricultural harvest award, 7 provincial agricultural harvest awards, 27 teaching achievement awards and 12 patents.

Student activities

The college now has six school-level student organizations, including the League Committee of Donghu College, the Student Union of Donghu School, the Student Union of Mapo College, etc., and more than 30 associations, such as the Dance Department Shangshu, the calligraphy Association, the English Association, the Sports Club, the Green Bin Literature Society, and so on, and often hold various cultural and sports activities. Students actively participate in social practice, gain a lot of social experience, and improve the comprehensive quality of students.
