深圳大学传播学院简介

深圳大学传播学院的前身是成立于1985年的深圳大学大众传播系,此后在机构调整中,曾经设置为中国文化与传播系、文学院传播系等。2006年,在整合传播系、广告系、传媒与文化发展研究中心等机构的基础上,成立了传播学院。

院系设置

传播学院下设传播系、广告系、传媒研究中心、传播教学实验中心等教学科研机构。培养新闻传播、广播电视、网络与新媒体、广告策略、广告设计、播音与主持艺术等6个专业方向,其中广告学专业创建于1989年,深圳大学是我国高校中开办广告学专业最早的三所专业院校之一。广告学专业是广东省特色专业。2010年获评新闻传播学一级学科硕士学位授权。现有全日制在校本科生1000余人,硕士研究生近70人。经广东省教育厅批准,从2015年开始深圳大学传播学院在广东省内由之前的第二批本科录取批次调整到第一批本科录取批次招生。

师资力量

传播学院现有在编教职员46人。在专任教师中,教授(含正高职称)11人,副教授18人,讲师9人。其中博士23人,从日本、美国、香港引进教授和博士5人。

具有长期新闻传播业界工作经验的高级教师6人。师资队伍中有教育部新闻学科教学指导委员、博士和硕士研究生导师、海外留学归国博士、广东省“千百十”优秀人才、深圳市优秀教师等多人。已特聘3位海内外著名学者为“鹏程学者”特聘教授。师资队伍学科结构合理,学缘结构优异。在校教师开创了国家级精品课程、广东省精品课程,获得了广东省高等教育教学成果一等奖、广东省哲学社会科学优秀成果二等奖、南粤优秀研究生等标志性教学科研成果。

教学设施

传播学院实验教学设备精良,投入实验设备资产约2000万元。建立了新闻采编、网络多媒体、广告设计、电话调查、影视制作、非线编辑、传媒采集、数字录音、数字摄影、虚拟演播等多个功能实验室,于2009年创建了国家级传媒类实验教学示范中心——传媒实验教学中心。

传播学院主办了第一届至第四届全国大学生广告艺术大赛广东赛区赛事等大型创新型实践教学赛事。学生在校期间获得了各类国内外专业书课竞赛奖项达到500多项。毕业学生主要就业于华南地区大众传媒、网络新媒体、广告、公共关系、影视制作、市场营销、政府行政等广阔领域,受到用人单位的普遍欢迎。

教学成果

深圳大学传播学院学科建设成果突出。于2005年创建了广东省高等学校文科重点研究基地——传媒与文化发展研究中心,传播学科是广东省重点扶持学科。科研团队完成和承担了多项国家社会科学基金、国家自然科学基金、全国艺术科学规划、教育部社科规划、广东省社科重大项目、规划项目等高层次科研项目。为地方经济社会发展服务成果显著,年均科研经费达到400万元以上。

Brief introduction to School of Communication, Shenzhen University

The predecessor of the School of Communication of Shenzhen University was the Department of Mass Communication of Shenzhen University, which was founded in 1985. since then, it has been set up as the Department of Chinese Culture and Communication, the Department of Communication of the College of Arts and so on. In 2006, the School of Communication was established on the basis of the integration of the Communication Department, the Advertising Department, the Media and Cultural Development Research Center and other institutions.

College and department setting

The School of Communication has teaching and research institutions such as Communication Department, Advertising Department, Media Research Center, Communication Teaching and experiment Center, and so on. Cultivate six professional directions: news and communication, radio and television, network and new media, advertising strategy, advertising design, broadcasting and hosting art, among which the major of advertising was founded in 1989. Shenzhen University is one of the three earliest professional colleges and universities in China. Advertising major is a characteristic major in Guangdong Province. In 2010, he was awarded the authorization of master’s degree in the first-tier discipline of Journalism and Communication. At present, there are more than 1000 full-time undergraduates and nearly 70 postgraduates. With the approval of the Department of Education of Guangdong Province, the School of Communication of Shenzhen University has been adjusted from the second batch of undergraduate admission to the first batch of undergraduate enrollment in Guangdong Province from 2015.

Teachers’ strength

The School of Communication has 46 staffs. Among the full-time teachers, there are 11 professors (including senior professional titles), 18 associate professors and 9 lecturers. Among them, there are 23 doctorates and 5 professors and doctorates from Japan, the United States and Hong Kong.

There are 6 senior teachers with long working experience in the news and communication industry. Among the teaching staff are the Journalism Teaching steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, the tutors of doctoral and postgraduate students, the doctor who has returned from studying abroad, the excellent talents of Guangdong Province, the excellent teachers of Shenzhen, and so on. Three famous scholars at home and abroad have been specially appointed as professors of “Pengcheng Scholars”. The discipline structure of teachers is reasonable and the structure of learning background is excellent. Teachers in the school have created national high-quality courses and Guangdong high-quality courses, and won the first prize for teaching achievements in higher education in Guangdong Province, the second prize for excellent achievements in philosophy and social sciences in Guangdong Province, and outstanding postgraduates in southern Guangdong, and other iconic teaching and scientific research achievements.

Teaching facilities

The experimental teaching equipment of the College of Communication is excellent, and the assets invested in the experimental equipment are about 20 million yuan. A number of functional laboratories have been established, such as news gathering and editing, network multimedia, advertising design, telephone survey, film and television production, non-line editing, media collection, digital recording, digital photography, virtual broadcasting and so on. In 2009, a national media experimental teaching demonstration center, the Media Experimental Teaching Center, was established.

The School of Communication hosted the first to the fourth National College students’ Advertising Art Competition, Guangdong Competition and other large-scale innovative practical teaching competitions. During their stay at school, students have won more than 500 awards in various domestic and foreign professional book competitions. Graduates are mainly employed in mass media, online new media, advertising, public relations, film and television production, marketing, government administration and other broad fields in South China, and are generally welcomed by employers.

Teaching achievement

Outstanding achievements have been made in discipline construction in the School of Communication, Shenzhen University. The Media and Cultural Development Research Center, a key liberal arts research base of colleges and universities in Guangdong Province, was established in 2005. Communication is a key supporting discipline in Guangdong Province. The scientific research team has completed and undertaken a number of high-level scientific research projects, such as the National Social Science Foundation, the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Arts and Science Planning, the Social Science Planning of the Ministry of Education, the major social science projects of Guangdong Province, and the planning projects. Remarkable achievements have been made in serving local economic and social development, with an average annual scientific research expenditure of more than 4 million yuan.
