苏州大学体育学院简介

体育学院至今已有80余年的办学历史。1924年东吴大学始办体育专修科，1926年招收本科生，1952年院系调整时创办体育系，1997年撤系成立体育学院。现有体育学博士后流动站和体育学一级学科博士点、体育学一级学科硕士点、体育硕士专业学位授权点;设有体育教育、运动人体科学、民族传统体育、运动训练四个本科专业。体育教育训练学是江苏省重点学科、国家重点学科培育点;体育教育专业是江苏省普通高校品牌专业;运动人体科学专业是江苏省特色专业。

院系设置

学院目前下设体育教育系、运动人体科学系、运动训练系、民族传统体育系、社会体育部、公共体育部。形成了从中学体育教育、高校体育教育到体育保健康复、健康教育、民族传统体育、运动训练和体育人文社会等专业(方向)的学士、硕士、博士人才培养系列，已为国家培养近万名体育专门人才。2008年，我院共有10名运动员参加了北京奥运会5个项目的比赛，其中跆拳道选手吴静钰获得了奥运会金牌，女子马拉松选手周春秀获得了奥运会铜牌。国际奥委会主席雅克·罗格先生在北京奥运会后致信苏州大学校长，对我校在北京奥运会期间所做的重要贡献表示感谢，对学校取得的优异成绩表示衷心祝贺。他同时希望苏州大学作为国际奥林匹克博物馆研究中心中国合作研究伙伴，要继续保持与国际奥林匹克研究中心的紧密合作。2012年伦敦奥运会上，吴静钰再夺跆拳道女子49公斤级金牌。在第九届全国大学生运动上，我校体育健儿奋勇拼搏，勇夺校长杯第七名。

师资力量

学院现有教职工151名(包括阳澄湖校区)，其中教授17名，副教授68名，讲师38名;有国务院学位委员会体育学科评议组成员1名，全国模范教师1名，博士生导师8名，硕士生导师46名;国际级裁判3名，国家级裁判10名;另有柔性引进、兼职、客座教授20余名。现有全日制在校本科生690名，博士研究生49名，硕士研究生239名，在职攻读体育硕士专业学位学员近300名。

A brief introduction to the College of physical Education of Suzhou University

The Institute of physical Education has a history of running a school for more than 80 years. Soochow University began to specialize in physical education in 1924, enrolled undergraduates in 1926, established the Department of physical Education when the department was adjusted in 1952, and established the Institute of physical Education in 1997. The existing sports postdoctoral station and sports first-tier discipline doctoral program, sports first-tier discipline master’s degree authorization point; with physical education, sports human science, national traditional sports, sports training four undergraduate majors. Physical education and training is a key discipline and national key discipline in Jiangsu Province; physical education is a brand major in colleges and universities in Jiangsu Province; Sports and Human Science is a characteristic specialty in Jiangsu Province.

College and department setting

At present, the college consists of the Department of physical Education, the Department of Sports and Human Science, the Department of Sports training, the Department of National traditional Sports, the Ministry of Social Sports and the Ministry of Public Sports. It has formed a series of bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral talents from middle school physical education, college physical education to sports health care and rehabilitation, health education, national traditional sports, sports training and sports humanities and society. nearly 10,000 sports professionals have been trained for the country. In 2008, a total of 10 athletes participated in five events in the Beijing Olympic Games, including taekwondo athlete Wu Jingyu won the Olympic gold medal and women’s marathon runner Zhou Chunxiu won the Olympic bronze medal. Mr. Jacques Rogge, president of the International Olympic Committee, sent a letter to the president of Suzhou University after the Beijing Olympic Games, expressing his gratitude for our school’s important contributions during the Beijing Olympic Games and heartfelt congratulations on the school’s outstanding achievements. At the same time, he hoped that Suzhou University, as a Chinese cooperative research partner of the International Olympic Museum Research Center, would continue to maintain close cooperation with the International Olympic Research Center. At the 2012 London Olympic Games, Wu Jingyu won another gold medal in the women’s 49kg taekwondo class. In the 9th National College Student Sports, the athletes of our school fought bravely and won the seventh place in the Principal’s Cup.

Teachers’ strength

The college now has 151 faculty members (including Yangchenghu campus), including 17 professors, 68 associate professors and 38 lecturers; there are 1 member of the Sports discipline Review Group of the degree Committee of the State Council, 1 national model teacher, 8 doctoral supervisors, 46 master’s degree supervisors, 3 international referees, 10 national referees, and more than 20 flexible introduction, part-time and visiting professors. At present, there are 690 full-time undergraduates, 49 doctoral students, 239 master’s degree students and nearly 300 students studying for the master’s degree of physical education.
