长江大学地球科学学院介绍

长江大学(原江汉石油学院)地球科学学院的前身是始建于1950年的北京石油勘探专科学校，伴随我国石油工业的发展已经走过了半个多世纪，具有良好的办学基础条件。2005年我院校友王铁冠教授当选为中国科学院院士。已发展成为以矿产普查与勘探、地质工程、矿物学、岩石学和矿床学、地图学与地理信息系统四大学科为基础的教学、育人、科研基地，而且这四大学科均具有硕士学位授予权，并且矿产普查与勘探博士点已获准招收博士研究生。

师资队伍

地球科学学院师资力量雄厚。在专业教师队伍中，教授18人(不含双聘院士)，副教授25人，高级实验师2人，副研究员1人，讲师8人，实验师、工程师、技师10人，助教、助工3人。博士生导师6人，硕士导师36人。

研究成果

地球科学学院教学研究与改革成果显著，近几年有10项(次)成果获得省、部级教学成果奖。其中“资源勘查工程专业人才培养方案及教学内容体系改革的研究与实践”教学改革成果获得2001年高等教育国家级教学成果二等奖。沉积岩石学获为湖北省优质课程、省精品课程，石油与天然气地质学为省精品课程。在搞好本科教育的同时，全体教师还积极投入本学科的科学研究中，近三年承担包括5项国家自然科学基金项目、3项国家“973项目”在内的100多项科研项目的研究，年均支配科研经费过三千万元。近三年获得省部级科研成果奖12项，其中省科技进步一等奖一项、二等奖7项、三等奖4项。

Introduction to the School of Geosciences, Changjiang University

The predecessor of the Geoscience College of Yangtze University (formerly Jianghan Petroleum Institute) is Beijing Petroleum Exploration College, which was founded in 1950. With the development of China’s petroleum industry, it has gone through more than half a century and has good basic conditions for running a school. In 2005, Professor Wang Tieguan, an alumnus of our college, was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It has developed into a teaching, education and scientific research base based on four disciplines: mineral survey and exploration, geological engineering, mineralogy, petrology and mineral deposits, cartography and geographic information system, and these four disciplines all have the right to grant master’s degrees, and the doctoral program of mineral survey and exploration has been approved to recruit doctoral students.

Teaching staff

The faculty of the College of Geosciences is strong. Among the professional teachers, there are 18 professors (excluding academicians), 25 associate professors, 2 senior experimenters, 1 associate researcher, 8 lecturers, 10 experimenters, engineers and technicians, and 3 assistants and assistants. There are 6 doctoral supervisors and 36 master’s supervisors.

research findings

The College of Geosciences has made remarkable achievements in teaching research and reform. in recent years, 10 achievements have won provincial and ministerial teaching achievement awards. Among them, the teaching reform achievement of “Research and practice of Talent training Program and Teaching content system Reform of Resource Exploration Engineering” won the second prize of national teaching achievement of higher education in 2001. Sedimentary petrology is a high-quality course and provincial high-quality course in Hubei Province, and oil and gas geology is a provincial high-quality course. While doing a good job in undergraduate education, all teachers have also taken an active part in the scientific research of this discipline, undertaking more than 100 scientific research projects in the past three years, including five National Natural Science Foundation projects and three national “973 projects.” the average annual allocation of scientific research funds is more than 30 million yuan. In the past three years, it has won 12 awards for scientific research achievements at the provincial and ministerial level, including one first prize for provincial scientific and technological progress, 7 second prize and 4 third prize.
