湖南广播电视大学简介

湖南广播电视大学是湖南省教育厅直属的，运用广播、电视、文字教材、音像教材、计算机课件和网络等多种媒体，面向全省开展远程开放教育的新型高等学校。

湖南广播电视大学1979年创办。学校行政上由省教育厅管理，教学业务上接受中央广播电视大学的指导，实行统筹规划、分级办学、分级管理、分工协作的体制。

师资规模

学校本部现设人文学院、理工学院、商学院、外国语学院、继续教育学院、直属分校、附属中专学校7个教学实体。下设市州和行业、企业分校21所，县级电大教学站点148个，形成了遍布全省城乡的电大教育网络。全省电大系统有专职教师3500余人，管理人员800余人，技术人员400余人，兼职教师1700余人。省电大本部现有教职工538人，有教师307人。教师中有教授23人，副高级技术职务者92人，讲师57人，具有博士硕士学位者76人。2003年7月，经省政府批准，利用校本部资源成立了湖南网络工程职业学院，举办高等职业教育。湖南广播电视大学、湖南网络工程职业学院实行两块牌子、一套人马。

学院成果

学校的办学实绩得到了上级和社会的充分肯定。先后被湖南省教育委员会评为“全省成人高等教育先进学校”，被国家教育部评为“全国电化教育先进单位”，被中央广播电视大学评为“全国电大实践教学先进单位”，2001年被省委高校工委授予“湖南省文明高等学校”称号。　2007年11月份，湖南广播电视大学、湖南网络工程职业学院迎接了教育部资深专家对该校的高职高专院校人才培养工作水平评估，并被评为高职高专院校人才培养工作水平评估优秀学校。

Brief introduction of Hunan Radio and TV University

Hunan Radio and Television University is a new type of university directly under the Education Department of Hunan Province, which uses radio, television, text teaching materials, audio-visual teaching materials, computer courseware, network and other media to carry out distance open education in the whole province.

Hunan Radio and TV University was founded in 1979. The school administration is managed by the provincial education department, the teaching business is guided by the Central Radio and Television University, and the system of overall planning, level-by-level management, division of labor and cooperation is implemented.

Teacher scale

The school headquarters now has seven teaching entities, namely, the College of Humanities, the Institute of Technology, the Business School, the Institute of Foreign languages, the College of continuing Education, the directly affiliated branch and the affiliated technical secondary school. There are 21 branches of cities, prefectures, industries and enterprises, and 148 teaching stations of RTVU at county level, forming an education network of RTVU in urban and rural areas of the province. The provincial RTVU system has more than 3500 full-time teachers, more than 800 managers, more than 400 technical personnel and more than 1700 part-time teachers. There are 538 faculty members and 307 teachers in the headquarters of Provincial Radio and TV University. Among the teachers, there are 23 professors, 92 deputy senior technical positions, 57 lecturers and 76 doctoral and master’s degrees. In July 2003, with the approval of the provincial government, Hunan Network Engineering Vocational College was established by using the resources of the school headquarters to hold higher vocational education. Hunan Radio and Television University and Hunan Vocational College of Network Engineering implement two brands and one set of personnel.

College achievements

The school’s achievements have been fully affirmed by the superiors and the society. It has been awarded as “Advanced School of Adult higher Education of the whole Province” by Hunan Provincial Education Commission, “National Advanced Unit of Audio-Visual Education” by the Ministry of Education, “Advanced Unit of practical Teaching of National Radio and TV University” by Central Radio and Television University, and “Hunan civilized University of higher Education” by the work Committee of Provincial Party Committee in 2001. In November 2007, Hunan Radio and Television University and Hunan Network Engineering Vocational College welcomed the senior experts of the Ministry of Education to evaluate the level of talent training in higher vocational colleges, and was rated as an excellent school for evaluating the level of talent training in higher vocational colleges.

College development
