朔州职业技术学院位于恢河河畔,临山傍水,环境幽雅,鸟语花香,生机勃发。占地面积550亩,现有建筑面积15.3万多平方米,是一块萌发梦幻,蕴动激情,充满无限生机的热土。1957年开始创办农业学校,50年的办学历程,培育了近万名基础科技、管理应用型人才,为区域经济和社会的发展,为传统农业向现代农业转型做出了重要贡献,几代人栉风沐雨,负重奋进实现了学校50载薪火相传,不断超越自身,不断发展壮大。在社会转型的新时期,党中央国务院大力发展职业教育,学校遇到了前所未有的发展机遇,我们审时度势,冷静分析当前教育的发展状况和变化趋势,探索教育规律,认真贯彻教育方针,全面落实科学发展观,面向现代化,面向世界,面向未来办学校,确立了“以服务为宗旨,以就业为导向,以奉献求支持”的办学思想。围绕我市经济建设,社会发展需求,面向行业,面向人才市场,以应用为导向开设专业。

在现有的畜牧、兽医、作物生产技术、生物技术及应用、煤矿开采技术、矿井通风与安全、发电厂及电力系统、矿井建设、会计与审计、机电一体化技术、酒店管理、导游、固体矿床露天开采技术、矿山机电、供用电技术、硅材料技术、光伏发电技术及应用、风能与动力技术等18个专业的基础上,在“十一五”期间逐步建成生物工程专业群,能源与资源工程专业群,建筑工程专业群,社会管理工程专业群,建成总体布局与结构合理的专业体系。巩固传统专业,培育优势专业,打造特色专业,围绕目标打基础,突出特色创品牌,深化改革求发展。

学院现有教职工219名,其中硕士研究生 75名,副高职称25名,中级职称73名。学院下设党办、院办等8个职能部门,负责党政工作。5个教学业务机构和4个教学辅助机构,负责教学管理工作。我们正在实施根据我院实际制定的《人才工程建设计划》,建设一支具有宽泛的学科专业基础,广泛的社会联系,丰富的经验和较强的动手能力,忠诚教育事业,热爱学生,钻研专业,对教学科研工作认真负责,坚守与社会价值取向相一致的世界观的高素质的师资队伍。做好先进生产力和先进文化发展的弘扬者和推动者,学生健康成长的指导者和引路人。
