湖北大学研究生院

　　湖北大学地处国家中部地区中心城市、湖北省省会——武汉市内，学校前身是1931年在武昌成立的湖北省立教育学院，1984年8月更名改制为湖北大学。学校是湖北省人民政府与教育部共建的省属重点综合性大学、国家中西部高校基础能力建设工程高校、湖北省2011计划牵头高校、中国旅游名校T10联盟高校、国家大学生文化素质教育基地、湖北省最佳文明单位，是湖北省属高校中综合办学实力最强、最具代表性的重点高校。

　　学校设有18个学科性学院，学科专业涵盖哲、经、法、教、文、史、理、工、农、医、管、艺等12个学科门类。其中，化学、材料科学2个学科进入ESI国际学科排名全球前1%，跻身世界高水平学科行列。全国第三轮一级学科整体水平评估中，学校有11个学科在湖北省属高校中排名第一，5个学科在湖北地区高校中排名前三。学校有5个博士学位一级学科授权点、41个博士学位二级学科授权点、6个博士后科研流动站，22个硕士学位一级学科授权点、145个硕士学位二级学科授权点，14个硕士专业学位授权类别（涵盖了35个领域）。拥有16个“十二五”湖北省重点一级学科，33个“楚天学者计划”特聘教授设岗学科。

　　学校研究生教育始于1978年，1981年成为国家首批硕士学位授权单位，2003年实现博士学位授权单位和博士学位授权点的突破，2005年开始专业硕士学位研究生教育。30多年来，累计培养各类研究生15500余人。

　　近年来，学校大力实施“研究生教育质量提升计划”和本-硕-博贯通培养的“十年树人计划”，成效明显。学校获批为国家少数民族高层次骨干人才培养单位，教育部学术学位研究生课程建设试点单位和工商管理硕士专业学位研究生教育综合改革试点单位。建有1个省级研究生教育创新基地，10个省级研究生工作站。紧密依托我校有机化工新材料、生物资源绿色转化等湖北省协同创新中心，探索学科、人才、科研三位一体协同创新培养模式。学校充分发挥哲学、中文、历史、马克思主义理论、数学、物理、化学、生物和教育学等传统学科的科研优势，不断推出有影响的成果。积极融入国家和区域自主创新体系，主动服务国家经济社会发展，在理论经济学、法学、公共管理、旅游管理、新闻学、外语、体育科学、档案学、材料科学、药学、电子科学与技术、计算机软件、区域规划和环境保护等领域形成了较为明显的优势和特色。

　　学校2017届毕业研究生就业率93.53%，博士毕业研究生就业率100.00%，硕士毕业生就业率93.44%。外国哲学、文艺学、历史文献学、经济法学、国际贸易学、英语语言文学、新闻学、理论物理、生态学等57个学术学位招生专业，学科教学（美术）、金融、化学工程、作物、社会体育指导等24个专业学位招生类别就业率100%。艺术学院、新闻与传播学院、生命科学学院、材料科学与工程学院、计算机与信息工程学院硕士毕业生就业率100%。

Hubei University is located in the central city of the country and Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province. its predecessor is Hubei Provincial Institute of Education, which was established in Wuchang in 1931, and its name was changed to Hubei University in August 1984. The school is the provincial key comprehensive university jointly built by the people’s Government of Hubei Province and the Ministry of Education, the university of the basic capacity building project of colleges and universities in the central and western regions of the country, the leading university of the 2011 Program in Hubei Province, and the T10 Alliance University of China’s famous tourism universities. the national cultural quality education base for college students, the best civilized unit in Hubei Province, is the strongest and most representative key university among the universities in Hubei Province.

The school has 18 academic colleges, majoring in philosophy, economics, law, teaching, liberal arts, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, art and other 12 disciplines. Among them, chemistry and material science are among the top 1% of ESI international disciplines, among which they are among the world’s high-level disciplines. In the third round of the overall level evaluation of first-tier disciplines in China, 11 disciplines rank first among universities in Hubei Province, and 5 disciplines rank in the top three among universities in Hubei Province. The school has 5 doctoral degree first-level discipline authorization points, 41 doctoral degree second-level discipline authorization points, 6 post-doctoral research stations, 22 master’s degree first-level discipline authorization points, 145 master’s degree second-level discipline authorization points, 14 master’s professional degree authorization categories (covering 35 fields). It has 16 key first-level disciplines in Hubei Province during the 12th five-year Plan and 33 specially appointed professors in the Chutian Scholars Program.

The graduate education of the school began in 1978, became the first batch of national master’s degree authorization units in 1981, achieved a breakthrough in doctoral degree authorization units and doctoral degree authorization points in 2003, and began professional master’s degree graduate education in 2005. Over the past 30 years, it has trained more than 15500 graduate students of all kinds.

In recent years, the school has made great efforts to implement the “Postgraduate Education quality improvement Plan” and the “Ten-year Talent training Plan”, which has achieved remarkable results. The school has been approved as the national minority high-level backbone personnel training unit, the Ministry of Education academic degree postgraduate curriculum construction pilot unit and the master of business administration postgraduate education comprehensive reform pilot unit. There is a provincial postgraduate education innovation base and 10 provincial postgraduate workstations. Closely relying on the Hubei Provincial Collaborative Innovation Center, such as the new organic chemical materials and the green transformation of biological resources, we will explore the collaborative innovation training mode of discipline, talent and scientific research. The school has continuously launched influential achievements by giving full play to the scientific research advantages of traditional disciplines such as philosophy, Chinese, history, Marxist theory, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and pedagogy. Actively integrate into the national and regional independent innovation system and actively serve the country’s economic and social development, it has formed obvious advantages and characteristics in the fields of theoretical economics, law, public management, tourism management, journalism, foreign languages, sports science, archives, material science, pharmacy, electronic science and technology, computer software, regional planning and environmental protection.

The employment rate of graduate students of the class of 2017 is 93.53%, the employment rate of doctoral graduates is 100.0%, and the employment rate of master’s degree graduates is 93.44%. Foreign philosophy, literature and art, historical philology, economic law, international trade, English language and literature, journalism, theoretical physics, ecology and other 57 academic degree majors, subject teaching (fine arts), finance, chemical engineering, crops, social sports guidance and other 24 professional degree enrollment categories employment rate 100%. The employment rate of master’s degree graduates from the School of Art, Journalism and Communication, Life Science, material Science and Engineering, and computer and Information Engineering is 100%.
