苏州大学数学科学院简介

苏州大学数学科学院有着辉煌而悠久的历史，其前身是Soochow
University(东吴大学堂，1900年创办)，1928年东吴大学文理学院设立数学系。“华罗庚数学奖”获得者姜礼尚教授，华人第一位国际组合数学终身成就奖——“欧拉奖”获得者朱烈教授，全国首批十八位博士之一、全国优秀教师称号获得者谢惠民教授，国内一般拓扑学研究先驱之一的高国士教授等知名教授都是苏大数科院的荣耀。学院一贯治学严谨，精心育人，至今走出了中科院院士1名，中组部千人计划入选者2名，长江学者特聘教授2名，国家杰青6名，国家优青2名。为江苏培养了一大批中学数学特级教师和教授级高级教师、中小学名校校长、优秀企业家和金融精英。

苏州大学数学科学院学科设置

学院目前拥有2个一级学科，数学一级学科博、硕士学位授予点下设基础数学、应用数学、计算数学、概率论与数理统计、运筹学与控制论、数学教育六个二级学科博、硕士点，统计学一级学科博、硕士学位授予点下设数理统计、应用概率、金融风险管理、生物统计、经济统计五个二级学科博、硕士点;学院还有应用统计、金融工程、学科教育(数学)三个专业硕士学位点;设有数学和统计学博士后流动站以及全国省属高校中唯一的国家理科基础科学研究和教学人才培养基地(数学);数学、统计学均为江苏省一级重点学科;数学与应用数学为国家“211”重点建设学科。

学院现有教职工133人，其中专任教师112人，教授34人(含博士生导师21人)，副教授53人。专任教师中有75人具有博士学位。现有国家级教学名师奖获得者1人，国家自然科学杰出青年基金获得者1人，国家自然科学优秀青年获得者1人，国家“青年千人计划”1人，全国优秀教师2人，国家级有突出贡献的中青年专家3人，享受国务院政府特殊津贴8人，教育部新世纪优秀人才2人，江苏省教学名师1人，

A brief introduction to the Academy of Mathematics of Suzhou University

The Academy of Mathematics of Suzhou University has a brilliant and long history, its predecessor is Soochow.

University (Soochow University, founded in 1900), the Department of Mathematics was established by the School of Arts and Sciences of Soochow University in 1928. Professor Jiang Lishang, winner of the Hua Luogeng Mathematics Award, Professor Zhu lie, the first Chinese winner of the International Combinatorial Mathematics Lifetime Achievement Award, Professor Xie Huimin, one of the first 18 PhDs in the country and the winner of the national excellent teacher title, and Professor Gao Guoshi, one of the pioneers in general topology research in China, and other well-known professors are all honors of the Soviet University Academy of Mathematical Sciences. The college has always been rigorous in scholarship and careful education. so far, it has walked out of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 2 selected members of the Thousand talents Plan of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, 2 specially appointed professors of Yangtze River scholars, 6 national outstanding young people, and 2 national excellent young people. Jiangsu has trained a large number of high school mathematics teachers and professor-level senior teachers, headmasters of famous primary and secondary schools, excellent entrepreneurs and financial elites.

Discipline setting of the Academy of Mathematical Sciences of Suzhou University

At present, the college has two first-level disciplines, and there are six second-level disciplines: basic mathematics, applied mathematics, computational mathematics, probability theory and mathematical statistics, operational research and cybernetics, and mathematics education. Under the first-tier discipline of statistics, there are five second-level disciplines: mathematical statistics, applied probability, financial risk management, biological statistics and economic statistics. The college also has three professional master’s degrees in applied statistics, financial engineering and subject education (mathematics). There are postdoctoral stations in mathematics and statistics and the only national basic science research and teaching talent training base in provincial universities (mathematics). Mathematics and statistics are first-level key disciplines in Jiangsu Province; mathematics and applied mathematics are key disciplines of the national “211”.

Faculty of the Academy of Mathematics of Suzhou University

The college has 133 faculty members, including 112 full-time teachers, 34 professors (including 21 doctoral supervisors) and 53 associate professors. Seventy-five full-time teachers have doctorates. At present, there are 1 national teacher award winner, 1 National Natural Science Outstanding Youth Fund winner, 1 National Natural Science Outstanding Youth winner, 1 National “Youth Thousand talents Plan”, 2 national excellent teachers, 3 national middle-aged and young experts with outstanding contributions, 8 enjoying the special allowance of the State Council, 2 outstanding talents of the Ministry of Education in the new century, and 1 famous teacher in Jiangsu Province.

There are 4 academic leaders of Project 333 in Jiangsu Province, 2 young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions at the provincial level, 1 academic leader of Blue Blue Project in Jiangsu Province, 4 backbone teachers of Blue Blue Project in Jiangsu Province, and 4 outstanding young backbone teachers in colleges and universities in Jiangsu Province.
