宁夏大学简介

宁夏大学简称“宁大”，学校坐落于贺兰山下有着“塞上湖城”美誉的历史文化名城银川市，是教育部与宁夏回族自治区人民政府共建的以文、理、工、农为主体的综合性大学，国家“211工程”重点建设大学，“中西部高校综合实力提升工程”高校，是国家“卓越工程师教育培养计划”、“卓越农林人才教育培养计划”“国家大学生创新性实验计划”和“国家建设高水平大学公派研究生项目”实施高校，是国家教育部首批批准的招收留学生和中国政府奖学金来华留学生培养高校。

院系设置

学校设有人文学院、政法学院、外国语学院、新闻传播学院、教育学院、阿拉伯学院、经济管理学院、数学计算机学院、物理电气信息学院、化学化工学院、生命科学学院、资源环境学院、葡萄酒学院、农学院、机械工程学院、土木与水利工程学院、体育学院、音乐学院、美术学院、国际教育学院、马克思主义学院、民族预科教育学院和高等职业技术学院23个二级学院和1个独立学院宁夏大学新华学院，以及继续教育学院和远程教育学院。共有73个本科专业。

师资力量

学校有国家大学生素质教育基地1个、国家级精品课程1门、国家级实验教学示范中心1个、国家级教学团队3个、国家级特色专业8个、双语教学示范课程建设项目1个、国家级大学生创新实验计划110项。

学科建设

学校有1个国家重点学科、1个国家重点(培育)学科，18个自治区重点学科，7个”211工程”重点建设学科、1个”211工程”重点培育学科，5个一级学科博士点、27个二级学科博士点，26个一级学科硕士点、160个二级学科硕士点，8个专业硕士学位授权点。有民族学、水利工程、草学3个博士后科研流动站。设有能源化工、设施农业、生物技术、生态恢复、土建与水利工程、草畜产业等11个自治区院士工作站。现有国家级大学生校外实践教育基地

科研成果

2006年-2014年，学校先后承担自治区级以上科技项目1500余项，经费总量3.3亿元，2012年度总经费超过了1亿元。2013年度经费较2012年增长10%，达到1.1亿元。先后承担和完成了”西北干旱冷凉区设施园艺节水高效生产关键技术研究与示范”等国家科技支撑计划项目，”资源高效利用与生态环境安全重大问题研究”等国家重大基础研究前期研究专项项目和课题。获自治区科技进步奖20项，获教育部高等学校人文社科优秀成果奖3项，宁夏社会科学优秀成果奖61项，宁夏自然科学优秀论文奖160项。在国家科技进步二等奖、何梁何利基金科技创新奖、自治区科学技术杰出贡献奖等方面实现了突破。

Brief introduction of Ningxia University

Ningxia University, referred to as “Ningda”, is located in Yinchuan, a famous historical and cultural city with the reputation of “Saishang Lake City” at the foot of Helan Mountain. It is a comprehensive university jointly built by the Ministry of Education and the people’s Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous region, with liberal arts, science, industry and agriculture as the main body, the national “211 Project” key construction universities, and the “Midwest University Comprehensive strength Promotion Project” universities. It is the implementation of the National Education and training Program for Outstanding Engineers, the Education and training Program for Outstanding Agricultural and Forestry talents, the National innovative Experimental Program for College students and the Public Graduate Program for the National Construction of High-level University. it is the first batch of universities approved by the Ministry of Education to recruit foreign students and Chinese government scholarships to train foreign students in China.

College and department setting

The school has schools of humanities, politics and law, foreign languages, journalism and communication, education, Arab colleges, economics and management, mathematics and computer science, physics and electrical information, chemistry and chemical engineering, life sciences, resources and environment, wine, agriculture, mechanical engineering, civil and hydraulic engineering, sports, music, fine arts, international education, Marxism College, ethnic Preparatory Education College and higher Vocational and Technical College 23 second-level colleges and 1 independent college Xinhua College of Ningxia University As well as the College of continuing Education and the College of distance Education. There are 73 undergraduate majors.

Teachers’ strength

The school has more than 2700 teachers and staff, including 65.7% of the full-time teaching and research staff with senior titles and 85.3% of the staff with master’s degree or above. There are one specially appointed professor in the Yangtze River Scholars Award Program, one leader in the first batch of philosophy and social sciences in the National Ten Thousand talents Plan, one innovation team in the Yangtze River Scholars and Innovation team Development Plan of the Ministry of Education, and seven scientific and technological innovation teams in the autonomous region. 26 academicians were flexibly introduced, 7 were selected in the first and second levels of “National 10 billion Talent Project”, and 15 were selected in the third level of “National 10 billion Talent Project”. Twenty-eight people were selected as the “New Century 313 Talent Project” in Ningxia Hui Autonomous region, 1 won the second prize for national scientific and technological progress, 2 won the title of “national young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions”, and 2 won the “national famous teacher award”. 19 people enjoy the special allowance of the State Council, 17 people enjoy the special allowance of the government of the autonomous region, 15 people are selected into the New Century Outstanding talents support Program of the Ministry of Education, 4 people are selected as members of the Chinese language, Physics and Biology Teaching steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, 3 people are selected into the Ningxia Hui Autonomous region “stuffed talents” project, and 10 people are selected into the “overseas talents introduction Program” of Ningxia Hui Autonomous region. Teaching construction

The school has 1 national quality education base for college students, 1 national high-quality courses, 1 national experimental teaching demonstration center, 3 national teaching teams, 8 national characteristic majors, 1 bilingual teaching demonstration course construction project and 110 national college students’ innovative experimental programs.

Discipline construction

The school has 1 national key discipline, 1 national key (nurturing) discipline, 18 autonomous region key disciplines, 7 “211 Project” key construction disciplines, 1 “211 Project” key training disciplines, 5 first-tier discipline doctoral programs, 27 second-level discipline doctoral programs, 26 first-level discipline master programs, 160 second-level discipline master programs, and 8 professional master degree authorization points. There are three postdoctoral research stations of ethnology, water conservancy project and grass science. Scientific research achievements

From 2006 to 2014, the school has undertaken more than 1500 science and technology projects above the autonomous district level, with a total expenditure of 330 million yuan. Funding for 2013 increased by 10% over 2012 to 110 million yuan. He has successively undertaken and completed the national science and technology support plan projects such as “Research and demonstration of key Technologies for Water-saving and efficient production of Facility Horticulture in Arid and Cold areas of Northwest China”, “Research on Major issues of efficient Utilization of Resources and Ecological Environment Security” and other national major basic research projects and projects. It has won 20 awards for scientific and technological progress in the autonomous region, 3 awards for excellent achievements in humanities and social sciences in colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education, 61 awards for excellent achievements in social sciences in Ningxia, and 160 awards for excellent papers in natural sciences in Ningxia.
