太原理工大学图书馆

太原理工大学是山西省唯一一所国家“211工程”重点建设大学，也是国家中部地区重点建设的五所高校之一。伴随学校发展建设的铿锵脚步，太原理工大学图书馆走过了百余年的艰辛历程，从旧式“藏书楼”发展成为资源丰富、设施先进、理念超前的现代化图书馆。

太原理工大学图书馆由迎西校区、虎峪校区、明向校区、孝义校区四个分馆组成，总建筑面积达11万平方米。经过百余年的积累，图书馆的馆藏资源已具备较大规模，形成多学科、多语种、多载体形式、多出版类型的立体结构，其中纸质图书230多万册，期刊3000多种，化学工程、材料工程、矿业工程、建筑工程及人物传记、山西地方文献为馆藏特色。电子图书200多万册，网络数据库60余个，镜像资源20T以上，自建有《山西民居图片数据库》等多个特色数据库。

图书馆秉承开放的理念、创新的思维，全方位开展读者服务工作。每日开馆时间达16小时，年入馆读者200万人次以上。师生持校园一卡通可完成座位自助选取、图书自助借还、自助打印复印和门禁身份识别等，实现了无线网络覆盖、信息点合理分布、移动阅读和数据库远程登录，图书馆一站式检索系统——清泽搜索则实现了对馆内外数据资源的统一检索，为师生利用图书馆资源和网络信息资源创造了极为便利的条件。电子书借阅机、触摸屏报刊阅读机和LED
显示屏让读者体会到了不一样的阅读感受。漫步其中，无处不在的文化元素伴着书香为读者营造出一种高雅温馨的氛围，使人流连忘返。

在业务建设中，图书馆注重同读者的交流互动，将学生管理委员会引入读者服务工作，建立起读者自行管理和参与管理的成功模式;通过“他展·你选·我购”系列活动鼓励师生积极参与图书馆的文献资源建设，把选书权交给读者;“图书漂流室”使师生的闲置书刊在图书馆互通有无，将这些书刊的利用价值发挥到最大程度;数据库专人监测研究制度确保了数据库利用的动态跟踪，提高了电子资源的利用率，使其性价比最大化;“星期五讲座”贴近师生的现实需求，让专家与师生面对面互动;馆报《图书馆与读者》搭建起图书馆与读者的沟通桥梁，提高了图书馆的知名度和影响力。

图书馆十分重视科技查新工作，在资金、人员、设备等方面不断加大投入力度，拓展业务领域，规范查新流程，建立健全了管理制度、查新质量控制体系以及完善的考评和激励机制，查新数量逐年增长，查新质量不断提升，为本校及我省科研人员提供了高质量的查新服务。2014年11月，太原理工大学图书馆成功获批“教育部部级科技查新工作站”，实现了山西省高校系统教育部科技查新站“零”的突破，对本校乃至我省科研工作的发展起到良好的促进作用。

The library of Taiyuan University of Technology is composed of Yingxi Campus, Huyu Campus, Mingxiang Campus and Xiaoyi Campus, with a total construction area of 110000 square meters. After more than a hundred years of accumulation, the collection resources of the library have been on a large scale, forming a three-dimensional structure of multi-disciplines, multi-languages, multi-carrier forms and multi-publishing types, including more than 2.3 million paper books and more than 3000 kinds of periodicals. Chemical engineering, material engineering, mining engineering, construction engineering and biographies, Shanxi local documents are the collection features. There are more than 2 million e-books, more than 60 network databases and more than 20T mirror resources. there are many characteristic databases such as “Shanxi Folk residence Picture Database”.

Adhering to the concept of openness and innovative thinking, the library carries out all-round reader service. The opening time of the library is 16 hours a day, with more than 2 million readers per year. Teachers and students holding a campus card can complete self-selection of seats, self-help borrowing and return of books, self-printing and copying, and identification of access control, etc., realizing wireless network coverage, reasonable distribution of information points, mobile reading and remote database login. Qingze search, an one-stop retrieval system in the library, realizes the unified retrieval of data resources inside and outside the library. The display screen gives readers a different sense of reading. Walking among them, the ubiquitous cultural elements accompanied by the smell of books create an elegant and warm atmosphere for readers, making people linger.

In the business construction, the library pays attention to the communication and interaction with the readers, introduces the student management committee into the reader service work, and establishes a successful model of readers’ self-management and participation in management. through the series of activities of “other exhibitions, you choose and buy”, teachers and students are encouraged to actively participate in the construction of library literature resources and hand over the right of book selection to readers. The “Book drifting Room” makes the idle books and periodicals of teachers and students communicate with each other in the library and maximize the utilization value of these books and periodicals; the database monitoring and research system ensures the dynamic tracking of database utilization, improves the utilization rate of electronic resources, and maximizes its performance-to-price ratio; Friday Lecture is close to the actual needs of teachers and students, allowing experts to interact with teachers and students face to face. The library newspaper “Library and readers” builds a communication bridge between the library and readers, and improves the popularity and influence of the library.

The library attaches great importance to scientific and technological novelty search, continuously increases investment in funds, personnel and equipment, expands business fields, standardizes novelty search process, establishes and improves the management system, novelty search quality control system and perfect evaluation and incentive mechanism, the number of novelty search is increasing year by year, and the quality of novelty search is constantly improving, which provides high-quality novelty search services for our university and our province’s scientific research personnel. In November 2014, the library of Taiyuan University of Technology was successfully approved as the “Ministry of Education Science and Technology novelty search Workstation”, which realized the breakthrough of “zero” in the Science and Technology novelty search Station of the Ministry of Education of Shanxi University system. It plays a good role in promoting the development of scientific research in our university and even in our province.
