河北唐山市第一中学,坐落在唐山市路北区翔云道369号,是河北省首批重点中学。始建于1902年,前身系直隶永平府中学堂和华英书院,迄今已有近百年的历史。是中国近代最早的中等学校之一,唐山一中以师生素质高、教学质量高、高考升学率高在省内外闻名,多次受国家教委和省市领导机关的表彰。

校园占地7公顷,建筑面积4.5万平方米,学校有教学楼三座,办公楼一座,科学馆、图书馆、体育馆各一座。标准400米运动场一座。教学班45个,全部是三年制高中,在校生2300多人,学校有教职工214人,在120名任职教师中,有特级教师11人,省级以上优秀教师16人,高级教师65人。

河北唐山一中被誉为“大学生的摇篮”、“全国重点高中教育科学研究联合体河北分部理事长学校”、“全国素质教育理论与实践实验基地”、“全国现代教育技术实验学校”、“全国劳动技术实验学校”、“河北省文明单位”、“河北省德育工作示范学校”等。

学校设备

学校搬迁新校,位于翔云道和友谊路交叉口。学校现有教学楼三座,办公楼一座,科学馆、图书馆、体育馆各一座。标准400米运动场一座。礼堂一座,阶梯教室数座。生活设施有宿舍楼一座,餐厅一座,商店若干,假山一座,夏晨广场等。目前理化生实验设备和仪器已达到国家标准,电化教育已形成了以闭路电视监控系统和计算机网络为核心,集电影、录音、广播、投影、语音训练为一体、办公楼,与常规教学紧密结合的完整系统。新近落成的图书馆和体育馆已达到国内中学的一流水平。

师资力量

学校现有教职工300余人,在170名专职教师中,有特级教师16人,省级以上优秀教师15人,高级教师50余人。

教学成果

在全国青少年科技创新大赛中,唐山一中学生获得5项省一等奖,占河北省获奖总数的1/3,其中两项获全国银奖,作品在中国科技馆展出。在全国第四届推广普通话大赛中获得银奖。中央电视台《异想天开》栏目连续播出唐山一中学生的7项发明设计,汇集17个研究小组 2008年唐山一中学星风采

学习经验的专辑由《现代中小学教育》杂志出版,汇集近200名学生文章的文集《春潮》由中国文联出版社出版,均在全国产生了广泛影响。在中央电视台主办的全国第三届和第四届头脑奥林匹克电视擂台赛中,唐山一中学生先后夺得了金擂主和银擂主。2003年4月,唐山市研究性学习实践现场会在唐山一中举行,参观了研究性学习展室,受到了与会代表的高度评价,对唐山市的教改起到了示范和推动作用。微机、生物、无线电、文学社等活动小组的教材已编印完成。微机小组活动成果突出,在已有成绩基础上,有400多人通过了计算机二级考试。劳动技术教育继续保持领先的地位,荣获全国劳技教育示范学校称号。

教学改革

在教育科研的有力推动下,唐山一中的教学改革也呈现出百花齐放、层层深化的良好态势。

1.优化教学方法,构建多向互动教学模式。针对课堂教学的满堂灌、注入式、课堂教学效率低下的情况,提出了“优化教学方法,形成使每个学生都在积极思维、自我表现和情感体验中获取知识、发展智能的多向互动教学局面”的教改指导思想,首先抓了数、理、化练导式教学法的典型。接着进一步树立了语文学科的“要素教学”、英语学科的“整体教学”、历史学科的“定位延伸教学”等典型,出现了各科教师普遍进行教改,优化教学方法的生动态势。  2.加速实现信息技术与学科教学的整合。1998年以来,唐山一中利用现代教育技术装备先进这一优势,大力提倡现代教育技术与学科教学的整合,强调传统教学方法与现代化教学手段有机结合,收到了良好的效果。经过四次更新,唐山一中的校园网开辟有资源中心、管理中心、交流中心、公共中心、个人空间等。每个教室都有微机、液晶投影、实物投影,教师可以从网上直接把教学资料或课件调到课堂上,实现了网上资源与教材的合理整合。

4.努力开发校本课程,多元化的课程体系基本建立。2000年3月,唐山一中成立由校长任组长,主管教学副校长任副组长,各处室主任、各教研组长为成员的课程改革领导小组。创造性地贯彻国家课程方案,将体育、艺术和综合实践活动作为必修课纳入教学计划,排入课表。高一年级以活动课为载体,高二、高三年级以研究性学习为载体,全面实施教学改革。
