　　百年大计，百年商学，与党同年，始于沪上。郭秉文、马寅初等一代先贤，高瞻远瞩，兴办商学教育，一大批海内外学者，传道授业，培育商科良才。1921年设立的上海商科大学，成为国内第一所商科大学，其中的普通商业系、工商管理系、国际贸易系，为当今上海财经大学商学院本科教育之发端。

　　几经调整，数易其名，初心不忘，矢志不渝。1932年，学校独立建制，定名国立上海商学院；1950年，学校更名为上海财政经济学院；1985年，学校更名为上海财经大学。1993年成立恒通工商管理学院，1995年组建工商管理学院；1998年成立国际工商管理学院。2003年，在恒通工商管理学院的基础上成立MBA学院，并于2011年组建商学院。2018年，国际工商管理学院与商学院重组为新商学院。

　　如今，学院已发展成为涵盖“工商管理”“应用经济学”“理论经济学”三个一级学科的国内领先商学院，先后通过中国高质量MBA教育认证（CAMEA）、AACSB、EQUIS、AMBA国际认证。依托学校百年发展凝聚的雄厚学科实力，在教育部学位与研究生教育发展中心全国第四轮学科评估中，工商管理、应用经济学被评为A，位列全国2%-5%；高等教育评价专业机构软科发布的“2020软科中国最好学科排名”中，工商管理、应用经济学学科位列全国前2%，理论经济学学科位列全国前5%；2020年学校经济学与商学蝉联ESI全球前1%；2020 U.S.News世界大学学科排行榜中，经济学与商学进入全球第145位，中国大陆第6位；根据美国德克萨斯大学达拉斯分校（UTD）全球商学院科研排名（2016-2020），位列全球第120位（大陆地区第3位）；在2021年度英国《金融时报》排名中，MBA项目位列全球第64位，中国内地第4位等。

A hundred-year plan, a hundred years of business study, in the same year as the Party, began in Shanghai. Guo Bingwen, Ma Yinchu and other generation of sages, far-sighted, set up business education, a large number of scholars at home and abroad, preaching, training business talents. Shanghai Business University, established in 1921, became the first business university in China, including the departments of General Business, Business Administration and International Trade, which are the beginning of undergraduate education in the Business School of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.

After several adjustments, the number changed its name, do not forget the first heart, unswerving determination. In 1932, the school was established independently and named the National Shanghai Business School; in 1950, the school changed its name to Shanghai Institute of Finance and Economics; in 1985, the school changed its name to Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Hengtong School of Business Administration was established in 1993, the School of Business Administration was established in 1995, and the International School of Business Administration was established in 1998. In 2003, MBA College was established on the basis of Hengtong School of Business Administration, and a business school was established in 2011. In 2018, the International School of Business Administration and the Business School were reorganized into a new business school.

Today, the College has developed into a leading domestic business school covering three first-tier disciplines of “Business Administration”, “Applied Economics” and “theoretical Economics”. It has passed China’s high-quality MBA Education Certification (CAMEA), AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA international certification. Relying on the strong discipline strength condensed by the hundred-year development of the school, in the fourth round of discipline evaluation of the degree and Postgraduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education, business administration and applied economics were rated A, ranking 2% and 5% of the country. In the ranking of the Best soft subjects in China in 2020 released by soft Science, an institution specializing in higher education evaluation, business administration and applied economics ranked in the top 2% of the country, while theoretical economics ranked in the top 5% of the country. School economics and business ranked the top 1% of ESI in 2020 U.S.News, economics and business ranked 145th in the world, and Chinese mainland ranked 6th. According to the research ranking of the Global Business School of the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) (2016-2020), it ranks 120th in the world (3rd in mainland China). In the 2021 Financial Times ranking, the MBA project ranks 64th in the world and 4th in mainland China.

He is virtuous and erudite, the economy is well-established, and the spirit of wealth is handed down from generation to generation. Over the past hundred years, the College of Finance and Business has persisted in moral cultivation and rigorous scholarship, bearing the mission of “cultivating business talents, innovating business research, leading business practice and spreading business civilization”. Based in Shanghai and rooted in China, it has trained batch after batch of business elites for the country, and now has tens of thousands of alumni at home and abroad. Over the past hundred years, although the faculty has been adjusted several times and bathed in the wind and rain, the lofty ideal of academic research and helping the people has never changed.
