青岛科技大学是山东省属重点建设的大学,已获批为山东省应用基础型人才培养特色名校立项建设单位,是一所以工为主,理、工、文、经、管、医、法、艺、教育等九大学科门类协调发展,以材料学、化学工程、应用化学、机械工程、自动化、信息与计算机为特色学科的多科性大学。

青岛科技大学前身是创建于1950年的沈阳轻工业高级职业学校,1956年迁至青岛。1958年经山东省人民政府批准组建为山东化工学院,学校开始了正式举办高等教育的历程。1984年经教育部批准更名为青岛化工学院,1998年学校由化学工业部划转到山东省,实行中央与地方共建,以地方管理为主的体制,2001年山东省青岛工艺美术学校并入,2002年经教育部批准更名为青岛科技大学。

近年来,学校全面贯彻落实科学发展观,各项事业取得了突出成就。学校现有崂山、四方、高密三个校区,校舍面积90万平方米,图书馆馆藏各类文献资料200万册,固定资产总值22亿元,办学基础条件明显改善。有教职工2055人,其中具有高级专业技术职务资格者810余人,工程院院士2人、双聘院士4人,外专千人计划专家1人,国家特支计划百千万人才(教学名师)人选1人,国家级教学名师奖获得者1人,“百千万人才工程”国家级第一、二层次人选1人,新世纪百千万人才工程国家人选1人,国家有突出贡献的中青年专家3人,全国优秀教师10人,“泰山学者”特聘教授7人,“泰山学者海外特聘专家”9人,省级教学名师10人。山东省学科带头人5人,山东省重点学科“首席专家”4人,山东省高校十大优秀教师4人,山东省有突出贡献的中青年专家29人,青岛市专业技术拔尖人才31人,享受国务院政府特殊津贴52人。

学校拥有3个博士学位授权一级学科,22个博士学位授权二级学科,5个博士后科研流动站,19个硕士学位授权一级学科,95个硕士学位授权二级学科,7个硕士专业学位类别,11个工程硕士授权领域,设有72个本科专业。拥有1个国家工程实验室,1个国家工程技术研究中心,1个国家重点实验室培育基地,3个教育部重点实验室、工程研究中心,1个省级协同创新中心;30个省级重点学科、重点实验室、工程技术研究中心,12个青岛市重点实验室、工程技术研究中心和行业中心。学校有2个国家级教学团队,7个省级教学团队;5个国家级特色专业,1个国家级人才培养模式创新实验区,16个省级品牌、特色专业,45门省级精品课程;获得2项国家级教学成果奖,2门国家级精品课程,1门国家级双语教学示范课程,1个国家级实验教学示范中心,1个国家级工程实践教育中心,2门国家级精品资源共享课,1门国家级精品视频公开课,1个国家级专业综合改革试点项目,4个国家级“卓越工程师教育培养计划”,1个大学生校外实践教育基地建设项目。

近年来,学校积极推行开放战略和国际化战略,同德、韩、美、加、俄、法等16个国家和地区的69所高校开展合作,其中与德国帕德博恩大学合作成立的中德科技学院,纳入中德两国政府间合作项目,被誉为中外合作办学的成功范例。学校与德国朗盛、日本阿尔卑斯株式会社等国际知名公司共建研发中心、国际工程师培训中心、学士后流动站、大学生创业中心,联合培养博士、硕士、本科等不同层次人才,逐步完善了国际化教育体系,形成了鲜明的国际化教育特色。近年来,学校毕业生在国际化公司的就业比例逐年提高,部分专业国际就业率达到50%以上。在巴斯夫、拜尔、大众、德固萨、三洋、阿尔卑斯、创绩等跨国公司都可以看到学校毕业生的身影。

学校重视科学研究,先后获得14项国家技术发明奖、国家科技进步奖,1项国家科技部杜邦科技创新奖。在中国校友会网发布的“2010中国高校国家重大技术发明奖排行榜中”,我校列全国高校第29位(并列),山东省属高校第1位(并列);在“2010中国高校科学贡献力排行榜”中,我校列全国高校第59位(并列),驻鲁高校第3位,山东省属高校第1位。

近年来,学校始终坚持走政产学研融合之路,科研成果运用到实际生产中已产生了巨大的经济效益,通过科研成果转化或提供核心技术支撑而上市的公司已经达到了四个,分别是软控股份有限公司、烟台万华集团有限公司、赛轮股份有限公司和青岛金王集团。学校在产学研合作领域的积极探索被社会广泛赞誉为“青岛科技大学现象”。作为省属高校唯一的代表,学校于2009年、2011年连续两次在山东省产学研工作会议作典型发言,连续两次被评为“山东省产学研合作创新突出贡献高校”,山东省委副书记王军民同志高度评价“科大模式”。

在60余年的奋斗历程中,学校积淀形成了“明德、笃学、弘毅、拓新”的校训和“自强、务实、竞合、创新”的校风,凝练出了“团结自强、艰苦奋斗、敢为人先、开拓创新”的科大精神,锻造出了“吃苦耐劳、坚韧不拔,朴实无华、甘于奉献,同心协力、勇承重载”的橡胶品格。建校60余年来,学校为中国橡胶行业培养了一大批行业精英,被誉为“中国橡胶工业的黄埔”。学校高质量的教学工作被教育部评估为“本科教学工作水平评估优秀高校”,形成了特色鲜明的“一体两翼”人才培养模式,人才培养质量稳步提高,毕业生就业率连续8年位居省属本科高校第一名。在2011年首次公布的“中国大学本科毕业生质量排行榜”中,学校列驻鲁高校第4位,山东省属高校第1位。

Qingdao University of Science and Technology is a key construction university in Shandong Province, which has been approved as a project construction unit of a characteristic school for the training of applied basic talents in Shandong Province. Science, engineering, liberal arts, economics, management, medicine, law, art, education and other nine disciplines develop harmoniously, with materials science, chemical engineering, applied chemistry, mechanical engineering, automation, information and computer as the characteristic disciplines.

Qingdao University of Science and Technology was founded in 1950 as Shenyang Advanced Vocational School of Light Industry, and moved to Qingdao in 1956. Shandong Institute of Chemical Technology was established in 1958 with the approval of the people’s Government of Shandong Province, and the school began the process of formally holding higher education. In 1984, it was renamed Qingdao Institute of Chemical Technology with the approval of the Ministry of Education. In 1998, the school was transferred from the Ministry of Chemical Industry to Shandong Province, which was jointly built by the central and local governments and based on local management. Qingdao Arts and Crafts School of Shandong Province was incorporated in 2001 and renamed Qingdao University of Science and Technology with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2002.
