合肥八中

　　合肥市第八中学，创办于1956年，时为初级中学，1970年开始招收第一届高中学生，成为一所完全中学。1998年高初中分离，成为一所高级中学。1999年被评为合肥市示范高中，2002年被评为安徽省示范高中。学校自创办之初的北油坊巷借地办学开始，到后来扎根于万慈会堂旧址，计五十余年，期间数易其址，直至2008年整建制从桐城路老校区搬迁至合肥市政务文化新区，一所全新的现代化八中自此诞生。

　　学校现占地150亩，建筑面积14万平米，现有100多个班级，5300多名学生;420多名教职工。教学设备先进，师资力量雄厚，先后荣获“国家青少年普法教育先进集体”“普通高中新课程改革先进单位”“合肥市先进单位” “合肥市教学质量综合评价一等奖” “合肥市花园单位”“德育工作先进单位”“常规管理工作优秀学校”等光荣称号。

　　合肥八中校风淳朴、治学严谨，管理规范。建校五十年来，历经风雨坎坷，与共和国共同成长。一代代八中人薪火相继，不辱使命，为祖国的教育事业矢志不渝，开拓进取。学校草创之初，前辈们披荆斩棘，艰苦奋斗，为八中每个阶段的发展打下了扎实的基础。文革期间师生们坚守阵地，坚守信念，执着于教育理想，敢于在逆境中抓教学、抓质量，让人类文明之火始终在八中人手中传承。恢复高考之后，八中迈开大步，领跑合肥教育，声震遐迩，被人们誉为“不是重点的重点”“人们心目中的重点”“无冕之王”。上世纪90年代开始，学校砺志创新，率先在全省施行内部管理体制改革，教育教学质量不断提高，年年被市教育局评为教育教学质量一等奖。2009年，全省文理科第一名同时花落八中，2010年，获市理科第一名，2011年获市文科第一名。2012、2013年高考全市七项指标，我校获六项第一。近三年来高考升学率又进一步提高：三本达线率稳定在98%以上;一本达线率从2013年的55.7%提升至2015年的74.3%，提升幅度达到33.3%。今年再次斩获全省理科状元和文科第五名。学校将学生的自理自律精神的培养和创新能力的锻炼作为教育教学的目标，并为特长生创设发展平台，平等对待每一个学生，把学生的终身发展放在教育的首要位置。莘莘学子源源不断地从这片小小的校园走出，走入社会、走向世界。国务院总理李克强，工信部部长、党组书记苗圩等一大批杰出校友成为祖国政治、经济、文化界的栋梁之才。
