  东南大学是中国“985工程”、“211工程”重点建设的大学。东南大学电气工程学院(简称“东大电气学院”)始创于1923年成立的国立东南大学电机系,是东南大学最早设立的三大工程学科之一。90多年来,电气工程相关学科和专业一直作为主干学科专业,不断得到建设发展,成为中国一流电气人才和创新成果的重要培育基地之一,在国内外电气领域具有较高的学术声誉。吴玉麟、陈章、吴大榕、程式、杨简初、严一士、闵华、钱钟韩、周鹗、陈珩等一批知名电气学者、专家曾在学院从教。

  学院建立了较为完整的学科体系。学院电气工程一级学科为江苏省优势学科、江苏省一级重点学科和江苏省一级学科国家重点学科培育建设点,其中“电机与电器”、“电力系统及其自动化”两个二级学科为江苏省二级重点学科。现有电气工程一级学科博士学位授权点和电气工程博士后流动站,含电机与电器、电力系统及其自动化、电力电子与电力传动、高电压与绝缘技术、电工理论与新技术、应用电子与运动控制、电气信息技术和新能源技术等八个二级学科。

  学院具有较为完备的科研条件。学院建有智慧建造与运维国家地方联合工程研究中心、伺服控制技术教育部工程研究中心、江苏省智能电网技术与装备重点实验室、江苏省电力工程实验中心、南京市电气设备与自动化工程技术中心、东南大学智能电网研究中心、东南大学风力发电研究中心,有智能电网动态模拟实验室、智能变电站实验室、Rockwell自动化实验室、三菱电机自动化实验室、电力电子实验室、电机实验室、微特电机实验室。学院重视政产学研合作,与政府部门和企事业单位共建了东南大学溧阳研究院、东南大学盐城新能源汽车研究院、东南大学镇江智能电网研究院,以及东南大学-香港德昌电机联合研究中心、东大-光一信息技术联合研究中心、东大—润和智能配用电技术联合研究中心、东大—南自通华电力电子研究中心等研究机构。

  学院坚持基础研究、应用基础研究与开发协调发展。近5年,学院先后主持承担包括国家重点研发计划重点专项项目、国家自然科学基金重点项目、江苏省科技成果转化专项资金项目等各类国家级和省部级项目140余项;EI收录论文700余篇,SCI收录论文500余篇,其中ESI高被引论文10篇;申请发明专利1100余项,授权发明专利600余项。科研获奖方面,获得国家技术发明二等奖,还获得教育部技术发明一等奖、教育部自然科学一等奖、中国机械工业科学技术一等奖、江苏省科学技术奖一等奖和江苏省科学技术奖二等奖等14项省部级奖项。

  学院以培养电气精英作为根本任务。学院是教育部高等学校电气类专业教学指导委员会主任委员会单位,与国际国内同行一道共同推动电气领域的人才培养改革,建有“东南大学西门子电力自动化有限公司卓越工程师联合培养基地”、“东南大学美国国家仪器公司卓越工程师联合培养基地”,以及23个江苏省企业研究生工作站,不断提升人才培养质量。学院每年招收本科生160余名、硕士研究生140余名、博士研究生30多名。电气工程及其自动化本科专业是江苏省高等学校品牌专业,2006年6月首个通过教育部工程教育专业认证,2013年成为中国加入《华盛顿协议》后首个通过工程教育认证的电气学院。学院《电机学》为国家精品课程,《电力系统分析》入选江苏省精品课程,《电气工程及其自动化专业导论》是国家精品视频公开课,“智能电网变电站综合自动化实验教学项目”获得国家虚拟仿真实验教学项目。依托学院建有“电工电子实验中心”国家级实验示范中心、“金智科技电气工程实践教育中心”国家级工程实践教育中心。学院编写的教材中有6本入选“十一五”国家级规划教材、2本入选“十二五”国家级规划教材。学院学生在国际国内各类竞赛取得优异成绩,获教育部“宝钢优秀学生”特等奖、国际大学生数模竞赛特等奖、“创青春”全国大学生创业大赛金奖、“挑战杯”全国大学生课外科技作品竞赛一等奖、全国大学生电子设计竞赛一等奖等多项荣誉。近五年来,学院获国家教学成果一等奖1项、江苏省教学成果特等奖2项。

  学院坚持走国际化办学的强院道路。学院坚持“请进来、走出去”,与英国谢菲尔德大学、伯明翰大学、德国亚琛工业大学、美国俄亥俄州立大学、田纳西大学、澳大利亚莫纳什大学、悉尼科技大学、香港大学等境外知名高校的相关学科建立了稳定的合作关系,互派学者讲学、交换留学生、开展联合科研等。近5年,相继承办了中美智能电网研讨会等高水平国际学术会议4次;聘请英国伯明翰大学RichardA.Williams教授等7位海外知名学者担任客座教授。

Southeast University is one of the key universities in China’s “985 Project” and “211 Project”. The School of Electrical Engineering of Southeast University (referred to as “School of Electrical Engineering of East University”) was founded in 1923 in the Department of Electrical Engineering of National Southeast University, which is one of the three earliest engineering disciplines of Southeast University. For more than 90 years, electrical engineering related disciplines and specialties have been built and developed as main disciplines, and have become one of the important training bases for China’s first-class electrical talents and innovative achievements. it has a high academic reputation in the electrical field at home and abroad. Wu Yulin, Chen Zhang, Wu Darong, Cheng, Yang Jianchu, Yan Yishi, Min Hua, Qian Zhonghan, Zhou E, Chen Heng and other well-known electrical scholars and experts have taught in the college.

The college has established a relatively complete discipline system. The first-level discipline of Electrical Engineering of the College is the construction point of Jiangsu Province’s dominant discipline, Jiangsu first-level key discipline and Jiangsu first-level national key discipline. Among them, “Motor and Electrical Appliances” and “Power system and its Automation” are the second-level key disciplines in Jiangsu Province. The existing electrical engineering first-tier discipline doctorate authorization point and electrical engineering postdoctoral mobile station, including motor and electrical appliances, power system and its automation, power electronics and power transmission, high voltage and insulation technology, electrical theory and new technology, applied electronics and motion control, electrical information technology and new energy technology and other eight secondary disciplines.

The college has relatively complete scientific research conditions. The college has the wisdom of the National Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Construction, Operation and maintenance, the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education of Servo Control Technology, Jiangsu key Laboratory of Smart Grid Technology and equipment, Jiangsu Electric Power Engineering Experimental Center, Nanjing Electrical equipment and Automation Engineering Technology Center, Southeast University Smart Grid Research Center, Southeast University Wind Power Research Center There are smart grid dynamic simulation laboratory, intelligent substation laboratory, Rockwell automation laboratory, Mitsubishi motor automation laboratory, power electronics laboratory, motor laboratory, micro and special motor laboratory. The college attaches importance to government-industry-university-research cooperation and cooperates with government departments and enterprises and institutions to build Liyang Research Institute of Southeast University, Yancheng New Energy Automobile Research Institute of Southeast University, and Zhenjiang Smart Grid Research Institute of Southeast University. And Southeast University-Hong Kong Dechang Motor Joint Research Center, Dongda-Optics-Information Technology Joint Research Center, Dongda-Runhe Intelligent Power Distribution Technology Joint Research Center, Dongda-Nanzi Tonghua Power Electronics Research Center and other research institutions.

The college adheres to the coordinated development of basic research, applied basic research and development. In the past five years, the college has presided over more than 140 national and provincial-level projects, including national key R & D programs, key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation and special funds for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in Jiangsu Province, including more than 700 papers collected by EI and more than 500 papers collected by SCI, including 10 highly cited papers by ESI, more than 1100 invention patents applied and more than 600 authorized invention patents.
