海南省文昌中学

文昌中学始建于1804年，历史悠久，人才辈出。学校位于文昌市文城镇南边的文中坡，毗邻海南省会海口，有海文高速公路直达，距美兰国际机场只约30分钟车程，西南面紧靠文清大道，直通向南中国海岸线，交通条件十分便利。学校占地面积近千亩，在全国中学中排名第二位，建筑面积15万平方米，高标准的教学楼、图书馆、科学馆、运动场、文昌市青少年活动中心、教师宿舍、学生公寓以及文中餐馆，配备有先进的教育教学设施。学校现在职教师447人，在校学生6000多人。设有97个行政班。

学校严格按照教学区、运动区、生活区“三区分开”的原则布局，合理有序。校园宽广平坦，道路笔直通畅，绿树成荫，鸟语花香，冬暖夏凉，物候宜人。学校的发展得到了社会各界、海外乡亲、港澳台同胞的鼎力支持，捐赠将近1500万元，为学校奠定了坚实的基础。其中泰国侨领导张光嶷先生捐赠330万元建成科学馆，香港海南商会常务副会长潘正洲先生捐赠320万元建成教学楼，香港海南商会顾问陈世英先生80万元建成办公楼，周成泰先生等100多位海外乡亲捐赠110万元建成图书馆。马来西亚王兆松先生亲属2002年捐资80万元重建王兆松楼。

学校办学成绩斐然，闻名遐迩。学校全面贯彻党的教育方针，全面实施素质教育，坚持“以人为本”，坚持依法科学治校，致力于培养创新精神和实践能力，形成了人心齐、理念新、管理善、设备全、环境美、质量高的办学格局。自1977年恢复高考以来为大中专院校输送了一万多名优秀学生，近三年每届都有600多位学生考上北大、清华等国家重点大学。获得中华全国总工会授予的“全国先进单位”“五一劳动奖状”，中央组织部授予的“全国先进基层党组织”等国家级荣誉称号70次，获得省委省政府授予的全省教育战线“文明单位标兵”等省级荣誉称号196次。

学校的建设和发展得到了党和国家的关心和支持。国务院副总理谷牧，中央政治局委员李铁映，国家科委主任宋健，国家体委主任李梦华，中央对外联络部部长朱良，农业部部长杜青林，国务院侨办主任郭东坡，国家总督学柳斌等领导都曾莅临学校视察。

2003年9月，学校通过了海南省重点中学办学水平一级学校等级评估。2005年秋季，海南省教育厅批准与海南中学并列第一批面向全省招生。2013年，学校正朝着创建“全省一流，全国知名，有国际影响”的特色高中示范学校的办学目标迈进。

Wenchang Middle School was founded in 1804 with a long history and a large number of talents. Among them, Mr. Zhang Guangyi, the leader of overseas Chinese in Thailand, donated 3.3 million yuan to build a science museum, Mr. Pan Zhengzhou, executive vice president of Hong Kong Hainan Chamber of Commerce, donated 3.2 million yuan to build a teaching building, and Mr. Chen Shiying, an adviser to Hong Kong Hainan Chamber of Commerce, donated 800000 yuan to build an office building. Mr. Zhou Chengtai and more than 100 overseas villagers donated 1.1 million yuan to build the library. Relatives of Mr. Wang Zhaosong in Malaysia donated 800000 yuan to rebuild Wang Zhaosong House in 2002.
