西安理工大学高科学院是国家教育部批准的全日制普通本科院校，是学士学位授予权单位。学院有位于陕西省西安市长安区大学城的长安校区和位于西咸新区的泾河校区：长安校区占地500余亩，建筑面积15万平方米，校园环境优美，办学氛围浓郁，设施设备齐全，实验实训条件在同类学校中领先;新建泾河校区占地千亩，已列为政府重点项目，将在长安校区的基础上规划建设大型图书馆、体育馆、教学楼、现代化的实验实训室集群、信息化公寓，按照功能完善、环境优美、风格别具的高等院校要求，结合现代科技新发展，建设成产、学、研一体的现代化新校区。

西安理工大学高科学院教学理念

学院秉承西安理工大学的教学理念和教学管理模式进行教育教学，对传统的培养模式进行了改革和创新，加大了实践环节，大幅度提高多媒体等现代化教学手段的使用，严格教育教学督导环节，有力地保障了教学质量。学院积极探索并努力实践复合型、应用型、创新型高素质的人才培养模式和“卓越工程师”人才培养方法，培养综合素质全面发展的具有很强的竞争能力和对岗位的适应能力的应用型高级人才，毕业生就业综合竞争力得到用人单位一致好评。每年参加全国硕士研究生入学考试上线人数达到在校生的13%，达到参加考研人数的51%。

学院秉承了西安理工大学多年的文化积淀，共享理工大学优质教学资源，一大批理工大学著名博士生导师、教授、博士担任各学科和专业的建设负责人，一线教学高级以上职称教师占70%以上。

学院目前设有国家奖学金、国家励志奖学金、国家助学金、学校五项年度奖以及社会企事业单位在我校设立的“万信励志奖学金”、“理工晶科励志奖学金”等多种奖、助学金，为品学兼优和家庭困难的学生提供各种奖励和资助。学院现有20余个院级学生社团，学生活动丰富多彩，完整大学生活促进了学生全面发展。

The Academy of Sciences of Xi’an University of Technology is a full-time ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education and the unit with the right to grant bachelor’s degree. The college has Changan Campus located in the University City of Chang’an District, Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province, and Jinghe Campus in Xixian New District: Changan Campus covers an area of more than 500mu, with a construction area of 150000 square meters, beautiful campus environment, rich school atmosphere and complete facilities. the conditions of experimental training are in the lead in similar schools. The newly-built Jinghe campus covers an area of 1000 mu and has been listed as a key project of the government. Large libraries, gymnasiums, teaching buildings, modern experimental training room clusters and information apartments will be planned and built on the basis of Chang’an Campus. According to the requirements of institutions of higher learning with perfect functions, beautiful environment and unique style, and combined with the new development of modern science and technology, it will be built into a modern new campus with the integration of production, learning and research.

Teaching concept of the Academy of Sciences of Xi’an University of Technology

Adhering to the teaching concept and teaching management model of Xi’an University of Technology, the college has reformed and innovated the traditional training mode, increased the links of practice, and greatly improved the use of modern teaching methods such as multimedia. Strict education and teaching supervision links effectively ensure the quality of teaching. The college actively explores and strives to practice the compound, applied, innovative and high-quality talent training mode and the training method of “excellent engineer” talents. To cultivate applied senior talents with strong competitiveness and adaptability to posts with all-round development of comprehensive quality, the comprehensive competitiveness of graduates in employment has been well received by employers. Every year, the number of people who take part in the national postgraduate entrance examination reaches 13% of the students and 51% of the students who take the postgraduate entrance examination.
