江苏省太湖高级中学

江苏省太湖高级中学地处太湖之滨，西傍风景秀丽的蠡湖山水，东接日益崛起的新行政中心。学校所在地区是无锡历史上首位状元蒋重珍的故里，也是无锡近代民族工商业的发祥地之一，崇文重教、朴实进取的区域文化传统为学校的发展积淀了深厚的历史底蕴。学校前身为锡南中学和华庄中学，前者由沈瑞洲先生于1937年创办，后者始于惠少栋先生于1949年创办的滨湖中学。1998年，凭借扎实优质的基础教育，两所农村初级中学双双成为江苏省重点中学。从1998年到2003年，两校又双获国家级示范高中称号，并以省高中冠名。2003年两校合并成立省太湖高中，并于2004年顺利转评为省首批四星级高中。

新校组建以来，业绩斐然，特色彰显，声誉鹊起。学校先后荣获全国绿色学校、江苏省文明单位、江苏省德育先进学校、江苏省现代技术示范学校和江苏省首批艺术教育特色学校等称号。学校还是华东师范大学、东南大学、苏州大学、江南大学等近十所高等院校的教育实验基地，同时也和世界各国许多学校建立了友好合作关系。学校环境幽雅，十景七路一河点缀其间，建筑风格充满江南韵味，被人们誉为“无锡最美的高中”。学校硬件一流，教育设施先进，信息化、数字化校园已初步建成。

学校秉承“求美求实”之校训，以打造“现代化特色名校”为办学目标。上世纪80年代学校创办“2+1+1”综合高中办学模式，开全国素质教育之先河，90年代初开始探索艺术特色教育，历经20多年发展，硕果累累，领跑全省，每年有一大批学生被中央美院、中国美院、上海音乐学院等名校录取。90年代学校开始了领先全国的小班化教育实践，在普高小班取得成功的基础上，艺术小班、信息化小班也在发转壮大。21世纪初，学校又瞄准形势，创办出国预备教学模式，几届毕业生大多被国际名校高分录取。数十载的开拓创新，学校已形成普高教育、艺术教育、小班教育、出国预备教育、网络远程教育百花齐放，特色优质的办学格局，得到了社会各界的高度赞誉与认同。

“学校的发展，必须是教师的首先发展”。历年来，学校有一大批教师成为全国、省、市各级名特优教师，其中，王惠东校长是江苏省特级教师、省有突出贡献的中青年专家、享受国务院津贴的专家，范可德等老师被评为全国模范教师、全国先进教育工作者，凌瑞初副校长是省特级教师，各级名师、学科带头人、教学能手有70多人。“让每个学生都得到充分发展”更是学校努力践行的办学理念。学校注重学生全面素质的提高和潜能的开发，共有200多人次在全国、省级数理化奥林匹克竞赛中获奖，有10多人获一等奖。学校还是无锡市车模、航模、乒乓球、篮球等项目的传统学校。学校每年为北大、清华、复旦、同济等名牌高校输送优质生源，如郁新同学高分被清华大学录取，蒋炯毅、张鹤同学分别为北京大学、复旦大学录取，是无锡地区录取人数最多、录取门类最全的学校。

Taihu High School in Jiangsu Province is located on the shore of Taihu Lake, bordering the scenic landscape of Lihu Lake in the west and the rising new administrative center in the east. The area where the school is located is the hometown of Jiang Zhongzhen, the first champion in Wuxi history, and it is also one of the birthplaces of modern national industry and commerce in Wuxi. The regional cultural tradition of attaching importance to education and plain enterprising has accumulated profound historical heritage for the development of the school. The former was founded by Mr. Shen Ruizhou in 1937, while the latter started by Mr. Hui Shaodong’s Binhu Middle School in 1949. In 1998, with solid and high-quality basic education, two rural junior middle schools both became key middle schools in Jiangsu Province. From 1998 to 2003, the two schools both won the title of national model high school and were named provincial high school. In 2003, the two schools merged to form Taihu High School, which was successfully transferred to the province’s first batch of four-star senior high schools in 2004.
