办学条件

学校位于武汉市南大门,坐落于风光秀丽的黄家湖大学城,占地面积91.5万平米,校舍建筑面积34.1万平方米,教学馆藏图书115万册,拥有完善的教学、科研、后勤服务设施,建有门类齐全的实验教学中心、图书馆,以及156个校外实习实训基地。

学历学位

学校对符合国家学籍管理规定、成绩合格的毕业生颁发武汉工商学院毕业证书;符合学士学位授予条件者,授予武汉工商学院学士学位。

现有11院1部:经济与商务外语学院、管理学院、会计学院、电子商务学院、物流学院、信息工程学院、环境与生物工程学院、文法学院、艺术与设计学院、民族教育学院、国际教育学院、公共基础课部。

学校现有全日制本专科生1.6万余人。学生在国家和省部级的权威赛事中获奖800多人次,竞赛取得的成绩位居同类院校前列。近3年来,学校毕业生一次性就业率达90%以上,2014年毕业生一次性就业率达92.39%,位居湖北省高校前列。

学科专业

学校坚持“产业引导专业,专业服务行业,行业促进就业”,形成“以经济与管理等学科为主干,工学、文学、法学和艺术学等多学科协调发展”的学科建设格局。设置了经济学、管理学、工学、文学、法学和艺术学六大学科门类的32个本科专业、20个专科专业及多个专业方向。

拥有2个湖北省重点(培育)学科,2个湖北省重点培育本科专业,5个湖北省高校战略性新兴(支柱)产业人才培养计划项目,3个湖北省“专业综合改革试点”项目,2门湖北省精品课程,1个湖北省重点建设实验教学示范中心。

师资建设

拥有一支由资深教授专家领军、拔尖人才担当学术带头人、优秀人才担任学术骨干的高水平师资队伍。

现有专任教师806人,其中教授和副教授占专任教师人数的30.3%,具有博士和硕士学位者占专任教师人数的79.7%。

学校还聘请了一批国(境)内外著名大学的教授及行(企)业专家为学校兼职教授或客座教授。这些教授、专家定期到学校讲学、研讨,指导教学科研工作,促进了教学、科研水平的提高。

学校重视科学研究与技术开发,鼓励教师将教学与科研有机结合,侧重应用型研究。学校拥有“现代物流与商务湖北省协同创新中心”(湖北省2011计划)、“湖北商务服务发展研究中心”(湖北省高校人文社会科学重点研究基地),湖北网络社会发展研究中心(中宣部舆情信息直报点、湖北省舆情研究基地) ,建有“工业废水处理协同创新中心”、“湖北省网络发展研究中心”、“中国文化创意产业研究中心”等学术科研机构。

2008年以来,学校教师主持各类科研项目262项,其中国家社科基金、国家自科基金、国家级星火计划等国家级、省部级科研项目35项;获湖北省科技进步奖等省部级奖95项;发表科研论文1292篇;还有一批国家实用新型专利。

学校重视创新创业教育,专设了创新创业教育学院,构建以促进学生增强创新创业能力为目标的创新创业实践平台,探索建立“五个融入”的创新创业教育体系,即将创新创业教育融入到课堂中、实践环节中、专题培训中、科技竞赛中、校园文化中。

Wuhan Industrial and Commercial College (formerly Wuhan Changjiang Industrial and Commercial College), founded in 2002, is a full-time undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education.
