吉林工业职业技术学院1950年10月创建于长春,时名为吉林省工业专科学校,隶属于省工业厅;1954年迁至当时的省会吉林市;1959年5月,为了适应“一五”吉化等建设对工程技术人才的需求,更名为吉林化学工业专科学校。1962年改为中专,隶属于省石化局;1978年易名为吉林化工学校,隶属于省石化厅,同年被原化工部列为全国重点化工学校;1980年被教育部确定为全国重点中专。1999年部分专业开始招收高职学生,2002年1月升格为吉林工业职业技术学院,隶属于吉林省教育厅。2008年7月被教育部、财政部批准为第三批国家示范性高等职业院校立项建设单位,2011年9月,立项建设通过国家验收,成为国家百所示范高职院校之一。

学院以服务吉林省经济社会与石油和化工行业的发展为主要任务,形成了以化工、制药、制造工艺为核心,检验、维修、自动化技术为主干,安全、环保、储运技术为支撑,现代服务技术为延伸的专业体系。现有全日制在校学生7000余人,7个教学单位,专业总数36个。其中,有应用化工技术、生产过程自动化技术、工业分析与检验、消防工程技术等4个国家示范性专业,有化工设备维修技术等2个省品牌专业群。

学院坚持“师资力量是第一资源”的理念,实施人才强校战略。启动“内培外引”的人才工程,建立能工巧匠晋升机制,教师荣誉评选机制,建立了一支以专业带头人为骨干、以中青年教师为中坚,专兼结合、结构合理的高水平“双师型”教师队伍。现有专兼职教师373人,在编在岗教职工293人,其中教授18人,副教授等高级职称人员84人,硕士、博士学位人员157人,4名省级及行业教学名师,3名长白山技能名师。

学院现有两个校区,占地面积9.4万平方米,资产总值24970.8万元,教学仪器设备总值7332.4万元。学院新校区规划占地面积50万平方米,规划建筑面积23万平方米。

65年来,学院始终以立德树人为根本任务,践行“聚物化新、立己达人”的办学理念;秉承“厚德求是、强学力行”的校训精神;弘扬“崇德尚技、优教毓秀”的办学特色,传承“严谨、求实、勤奋、进取”的优良校风,坚持“校企合作,互惠共赢”的办学道路,走出了一条职业技术素质教育的新路,形成了职业需求为导向,技术技能为特长,素质教育为主线,职业、技术、素质“三维一体”的人才培养模式。

学院始终重视学生的技术技能培养,形成了课内强化单项性实训,优化综合性实训,协同顶岗实习,课外延伸和增加课堂主渠道的育人作用,“三阶递进,二元并重”的实践教学体系。目前,校外建有实习基地59个,校内建有学生实习实训实验室118个,国家重点支持建设实训基地2个,吉林省职业教育示范性实训基地1个。学院是“吉林省石油化工实训基地”、化工及装备专业“省职业技能公共实训基地”、“石油和化工行业职业教育与培训全国示范性实训基地”、“化工行业高技能人才实训基地”、“国家级数控技术实训基地”、“国家级药物制剂实训基地”。建有可承担20余个工种技能鉴定的工作站,毕业生职业资格证书获取率在93%以上。学院图书馆馆藏纸质图书41.29万册,电子图书27GB;具有网络资源230GB;编辑出版中国期刊全文数据库(CJFD)全文收录的学术期刊《技术与教育》。

学院坚持以服务为宗旨,以就业为导向,不断强化“招生、培养、就业”一体化工作机制,致力于提高学生以实践为主的科学思维能力和岗位技术技能,培养“价值认同、行为服从、吃苦耐劳、爱岗敬业”的高素质技术技能型人才,牵头成立了吉林化工职教集团,校企协同,重新修订了人才培养方案,实施理实一体化课程改革,增加欣赏人造自然、崇尚技术技能、赞美设备装置等提高学生文化素质的教育内容。

学院大力倡导将石油和化工行业“健康、安全、环境”的核心理念落实到育人的全过程。坚持把加强校园文化建设作为拓展职业技术素质教育的主要途径。以“升华品质、唯实唯真、责任关怀”为主题,积极推进行业文化进校园,为提高学生的综合素质创造良好的文化氛围。

2012年以来,学院从完善顶层设计入手,通过开展教育思想大讨论活动,引导教职工牢固树立按照评估指标体系指导日常工作的思维观念,使人才评估工作常态化。从开展管理质量年和完善制度建设作为切入点,配合《章程》的建立,先后制定、完善了62项规章制度,初步形成了较为科学规范符合现代职教特点的学院治理体系。

学院倡导全员、全力、全心关爱学生,不断改良关爱学生的土壤,注重学生的身心教育,不断提高学生的自尊心、自信心。高度重视大学生思想政治教育工作,出台了《关于完善学生工作长效机制的意见》。每年都举办大学生文化艺术节以及各种形式的社团活动,为学生提供施展才华的舞台。精心打造了“世纪潮”校园文化艺术节、社团文化节、阳光体育节等一系列形式多样的校园文化活动和一批充满活力、兴趣使然、健康向上的学生社团。建立了专职辅导员队伍,兼职班主任队伍,每年投入500余万元帮扶困难学生,奖励优秀学生。在责任关怀理念的影响下,学院治理能力逐步提升。

2012年以来,学院教师主编、主审公开出版教材32部,发表省级及以上论文413篇,其中SCI、EI论文20篇,核心期刊论文77篇;省级及以上教科研课题立项85项,其中,国家级课题2项,省级重点课题 9 项,已结题课题25项;获职务发明新型实用专利10项。获国家级教学成果奖二等奖1项,省级教学成果奖一等奖1项、二等奖1项,三等奖1项。

2012年以来,我院学生获得数学建模、电子设计大赛、艺术设计大赛、职业技能竞赛等国家级二等奖4项,三等奖2项,省级一等奖15项,二等奖43项,三等奖73项;在2014年吉林省第十七届运动会上,我院学生获得第一名5项、第二名5项、第三名8项。

近年来,学院毕业生初次就业率均在83%以上。先后与中国石油吉林石化分公司等50余家能源、制造、装配类大型国有企业建立供需关系或校企合作关系。累计为企业订单培养200余人。累计为合作企业培训员工1666人次。毕业生受到用户欢迎和高度评价。企业对毕业生整体评价是:“工作上手快,服从领导听从指挥、吃苦耐劳,具有良好的团结协作素质”,通过调研,企业对毕业生综合评价满意度95%;毕业生对就业情况的总体满意度为94%。

学院先后被评为中国石油和化学工业文化建设先进单位,吉林省高校毕业生就业先进集体,吉林省精神文明建设先进单位,吉林省职业教育先进单位。学院是中国化工教育协会东北区协作组主任单位,吉林省化工学会副理事长单位。

Jilin Vocational and Technical College of Industry was founded in Changchun in October 1950, when it was called Jilin Industrial College, which belongs to the Provincial Department of Industry; it moved to Jilin City, the provincial capital at that time, in 1954; in May 1959, in order to meet the needs of engineering and technical personnel in the construction of Jilin Chemical Industry during the first five-year Plan, it was renamed Jilin Chemical Industry College. In 1962, it was changed to a technical secondary school, affiliated to the provincial petrochemical bureau; in 1978, it was renamed Jilin Chemical School and attached to the Provincial Petrochemical Department; in the same year, it was listed as a national key chemical school by the former Ministry of Chemical Industry; in 1980, it was identified as a national key technical secondary school by the Ministry of Education. In 1999, some majors began to recruit higher vocational students, and in January 2002, they were upgraded to Jilin Vocational and Technical College of Industry, which belongs to the Department of Education of Jilin Province. In July 2008, it was approved by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance as the third batch of national demonstration higher vocational colleges. In September 2011, the project construction passed the national acceptance and became one of the 100 national model higher vocational colleges.

Taking serving the economic and social development of Jilin Province and the development of petroleum and chemical industry as the main task, the college has formed a professional system with chemical, pharmaceutical and manufacturing technology as the core, inspection, maintenance and automation technology as the backbone, safety, environmental protection, storage and transportation technology as the support, and modern service technology as the extension. At present, there are more than 7000 full-time students, 7 teaching units and 36 majors. Among them, there are four national demonstration specialties, such as applied chemical technology, production process automation technology, industrial analysis and inspection, and fire engineering technology, and two provincial brand professional groups, such as chemical equipment maintenance technology.

The college adheres to the concept that “teachers are the first resource” and implements the strategy of strengthening the school with talents.
