沈阳职业技术学院是经辽宁省人民政府批准，国家教育部备案的一所全日制普通高等学校，是国家级示范性高等职业技术院校，是辽宁省职业教育先进集体、辽宁省文明单位、辽宁省人才培养水平评估优秀单位、辽宁省普通高校毕业生就业工作先进集体、沈阳市先进单位、沈阳市优秀领导班子。

学院诞生于国家第一个五年计划东北老工业基地建设中的1953年，地处东北经济文化中心的辽宁省省会沈阳市。60多年来，伴随着东北老工业基地的发展建设，学院与时俱进，不断壮大。

学院是国家教育部确定的国家高职高专“数控技术”和 “计算机应用与软件技术”高技能紧缺型人才培养基地，国家“数控技术”类学生实训(师资培训)基地，辽宁省职业院校师资、院校长培训基地，辽宁省出国劳务人员培训基地，沈阳百余家大中型企业和区、县(市)的员工技能培训基地。

学院基础设施完备。学院占地面积725亩，建筑面积33.96万平方米，图书馆藏书81.2万册，在校生近2万人。校园绿树成荫，环境优美，素有花园式学校美誉。

学院教学设备先进。学院拥有相当于现代中型装备企业规模的、设备齐全的实习工厂，3.6万平方米的现代信息技术实训基地。学院还与多个大型企业建立了密切的校企合作关系，建立了协议化管理的校外顶岗实习基地283个，组建了一支由642名企业一线技术人员构成的指导教师队伍。

学院师资力量雄厚。学院现有专任教师819人，其中正教授58人，具备副教授以上高级职称占32%，企业工作经历占40%。学院还聘请了知名企业总工程师和车间主任、分厂厂长兼任学院教学副院长和各系部主任，180余名行业和企业一线专家常年为学生讲授技能课程。

学院专业设置齐全，分布合理。学院办学以服务沈阳区域经济和社会发展为宗旨，围绕装备制造业和现代服务业发展建立起了装备制造、电子信息、现代服务3大专业群近70余个专业和专业方向，培养具有良好品质的高技能人才。

学院教学改革特色鲜明。学院创新工学结合人才培养模式，根据各专业不同特点，按照合作企业和学生未来就业岗位具体要求及学生身心特点，探索和实施灵活多样的工学结合人才培养模式。学院以课程建设为核心，进行一系列的教育教学改革。提出“宽基础、大专业、小方向”人才培养思路，注重培养学生扎实的专业基础功底，提高学生就业能力和可持续就业能力。学院实施“职业素质教育工程”，通过强化学生军训、开展公益劳动、义工活动、技能比赛以及社团活动等，将职业素质教育贯穿人才培养全过程。

学院校园文化生活丰富。学院现有各类学生社团45个，吸收会员5000多人。学院每年都举办20余项不同主题的活动，并多次获得国家、省、市各级各类奖项。2012年学院被选定为 “中国好声音，百事校园最强音”——中国好声音高校甄选赛区，及第十二届全运会志愿者指定遴选高校。

学院教学成果显著。学院现有国家和省级精品课24门，国家和省市级重点建设专业、品牌(示范)专业和教改试点专业27个;省级优秀教学团队9个，省级专业带头人32人，省级以上精品教材和国家规划教材30余本，教改立项成果25项。

Shenyang Vocational and Technical College is a full-time ordinary university approved by the Liaoning Provincial people’s Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. It is a national demonstration higher vocational and technical college. The college was born in 1953 in the construction of the old industrial base in Northeast China, which is located in Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning Province, which is the economic and cultural center of Northeast China. The college has a complete infrastructure. The college covers an area of 725mu, with a construction area of 339600 square meters. The library has a collection of 812000 books and nearly 20, 000 students. With shady trees and beautiful environment, the campus is known as a garden-like school.

The teaching equipment of the college is advanced. The college has a well-equipped internship factory equivalent to the scale of modern medium-sized equipment enterprises and a modern information technology training base of 36000 square meters. The college has also established close school-enterprise cooperation with a number of large enterprises, established 283 off-campus internship bases with agreement management, and set up a team of guiding teachers composed of 642 front-line technicians.

The faculty of the college is strong. The college now has 819 full-time teachers, of whom 58 are full-time professors, 32% of them have senior titles of associate professors and 40% of them have working experience in enterprises.
