衡阳师范学院南岳学院是教育部批准、湖南省直属、依托衡阳师范学院兴办的普通全日制本科独立学院。纳入国家任务普通高等学校招生计划，面向全国招生，全日制在校学生6000余人。学院坐落于湖南省衡阳市，东临湘江，北望回雁峰，校园占地面积431亩，环境优美，交通便利，教学设施完备。

衡阳师范学院南岳学院是2002年6月湖南省人民政府批准成立，2004年2月被教育部确认，湖南省直属，依托衡阳师范学院兴办的普通全日制本科独立学院。

学院坐落在湖南省衡阳市，东临湘江，北望回雁峰，环境优美，交通便利，教学设施完备。学院在董事会领导下，依托母体学校，根据独立学院的办学机制、办学模式、人才培养目标和生源构成特征、地方经济建设与社会发展对人才培养的要求，合理有序地开展学院建设。
