珠海市第一中学创办于1960年8月，是广东省首批省一级学校，全国首批现代教育技术实验学校，广东省首批国家级示范性普通高中，学校先后被评为“全国文明单位”、“全国精神文明建设先进单位”、“教育部首批依法治校示范校”、“教育部和谐校园先进学校”、“广东省先进集体”、“广东省职工职业道德先进单位”、“广东省科技教育先进集体”、“广东省安全文明学校”、首批“广东省青少年科技教育特色学校”、广东省首个“全国航空特色学校”、“广东省书香校园”、“珠海市群众满意学校”等。

学校师资力量雄厚，设施完善，校风纯朴，学风优良，环境典雅，是一所全面贯彻党的教育方针，办学成绩卓著的普通高中。学校拥有一支以本科以上学历为主，以高级教师为骨干的师资队伍，教师共计278人，其中特级教师4人，高级教师127人，有硕士研究生学历的88人，学校现有78个教学班，在校学生4300多人。

各级领导对学校关怀备至，党和国家领导人李长春、张德江等同志先后来我校视察工作，对我校的办学给予了很高的评价。同时，作为特区对外开放的窗口学校，学校每年接待上千名全国各地的中学校长、港澳地区及国外教育界许多人士来校参观访问。

The school has a team of teachers with bachelor’s degree or above and senior teachers as the backbone, with a total of 278 teachers, including 4 special-grade teachers, 127senior teachers and 88 master’s degree.
