湖北工业大学工程技术学院

湖北工业大学工程技术学院始建于2002年，是一所由湖北工业大学举办、按照新机制和新模式运行的全日制普通本科院校。近五年，学院励精图治，锐意创新，先后获得“全国先进独立学院”、“全国教育改革创新示范学校”、“中国最具影响力独立学院”、“湖北省平安校园”等荣誉称号。

学院座落在风景秀丽的武昌南湖之滨，地处高校科研院所密集地和高新技术产业核心区。校园毗连湖北工业大学，共享一本院校优良教育资源和浓郁学术氛围。学院占地面积1089亩，校舍面积28万平方米，建有专业实验室39个，建立100多个校企合作就业实习基地，图书馆馆藏图书130余万册，全日制在校生11000余人;学院教学及生活设施齐全，师资与管理队伍精良，是莘莘学子明德修身、探求真知的理想殿堂。

学院以湖北工业大学“绿色工业”学科优势为依托，着力建设机械制造、通讯信息、土木建筑、生化工程、工业设计、经济管理等六大专业群，已形成以工学为主，经、管、文、理、艺等多学科协调发展的办学格局。现设有机械工程系、电气信息系、生化工程系、土木工程系、管理系、经济系、外国语系、艺术设计系和中兴通讯信息工程学院，开设有36个本科专业，15个专科专业，其中，物联网、生物工程、物流管理四个专业被列入湖北省战略性新兴(支柱)产业人才培养计划项目，电子信息工程被列为湖北省专业综合改革项目，学院现有专任教师593人，其中研究生以上学历约占80%，副高以上职称占三分之一。

学院秉持“关怀学生未来发展”的教育理念，坚持质量立校，深化内涵建设，积极探索“4321”人才培养模式，推进“学历证书+职业证书”双证书教育制度;围绕产业需求和职业标准，全面修订培养计划，优化完善课程体系，全面构建“四位一体”的质量监控与保障体系。学院积极推进与行业龙头企业的深度融合，陆续与深圳五鑫、新龙药业、成都华迪等知名企业开展“订单式”人才培养合作，与全球领先的通讯设备制造上市公司——中兴通讯共同打造国家级ICT产学研融合创新基地，联合举办中兴通讯信息工程学院。

学院高度重视学生综合素质和能力培养，满足学生多样化的发展要求。在全国本科院校中率先开设职业核心能力系列课程，开展30多种职业资格认证培训工作;免费开办考研辅导班、四六级英语培训班;成立有大学生艺术团、体育运动大队等50多个学生社团。近三年来，我院学生在“挑战杯”全国大学生课外学术科技作品竞赛和中国大学生创业计划竞赛、全国大学生数学建模竞赛、全国大学生英语竞赛、全国大学生电子设计大赛、全国大学生软件设计与开发大赛、全国大学生机械设计制造创新大赛等众多国家级的科技创新和技能竞赛中,为学校赢得400多个奖项，获奖数量和层次位列全省独立学院前茅。

The College of Engineering and Technology of Hubei University of Technology, founded in 2002, is a full-time ordinary undergraduate university run by Hubei University of Technology and run according to the new mechanism and new mode. Relying on the advantages of the “green industry” discipline of Hubei University of Technology, the college strives to build six major professional groups, such as machinery manufacturing, communication and information, civil construction, biochemical engineering, industrial design, economic management, and so on. The school-running pattern of coordinated development of economy, management, liberal arts, science, art and other disciplines. At present, there are Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Electrical Information, Department of biochemical Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Management, Department of Economics, Department of Foreign languages, Department of Art and Design and ZTE Institute of Information Engineering, with 36 undergraduate majors and 15 specialized specialties. among them, the Internet of things, bioengineering and logistics management are included in the talent training program for strategic emerging (pillar) industries in Hubei Province. Electronic information engineering is listed as a comprehensive professional reform project in Hubei Province. there are 593 full-time teachers in the college, of which 80% have postgraduate degree or above, and 1/3 have the title of associate high school or above.

The college adheres to the educational concept of “caring for the future development of students”, adheres to the establishment of quality schools, deepens connotation construction, actively explores the “4321” talent training model, and promotes the double certificate education system of “academic certificates + vocational certificates”. Centering on industrial needs and professional standards, comprehensively revise the training plan, optimize and improve the curriculum system, and comprehensively build a “four-in-one” quality monitoring and guarantee system. The college has actively promoted its deep integration with leading enterprises in the industry, and has successively carried out “order-based” talent training cooperation with well-known enterprises such as Shenzhen Wuxin, Xinlong Pharmaceutical, Chengdu Huadi, etc., and jointly built a national ICT industry-university-research integration and innovation base with ZTE, a leading listed communications equipment manufacturing company in the world, and jointly organized ZTE Information Engineering School.

The college attaches great importance to the cultivation of students’ comprehensive quality and ability to meet the diversified development requirements of students. Among undergraduate colleges and universities across the country, we have taken the lead in setting up a series of vocational core competence courses, carrying out more than 30 kinds of vocational qualification certification training, and offering postgraduate entrance examination tutoring classes and CET-4 and CET-6 English training courses free of charge. More than 50 student associations have been set up, such as college students’ art troupes, sports brigades and so on.
