佛山职业技术学院介绍

佛山职业技术学院是在2000年6月，经广东省人民政府批准，国家教育部备案，由佛山市人民政府举办的一所全日制公办普通高等职业技术院校。学院由原佛山煤田职工地质学院和佛山市机电学校合并组建而成。学院为佛山市职业技术教育基地总部单位。学院坐落于国家级工业园区—佛山市三水工业园区内，校园总占地面积962亩，建筑面积23.5万平方米，总投资近10亿元。现设有机电工程系、电子信息系、汽车工程系、工商管理系、财经管理系、思想政治理论课教学部等五系一部。

师资力量

学院拥有一支思想政治素质较高、业务和实践能力较强的“双师型”教师队伍。全院在职教职工263人，其中专兼职教师164人，重点建设专业均具有高级专业技术职务教师2一3名。有7名教师分别在全国及省、市的专业学会、社会学术团体中担任会长、理事、委(会)员等职务。学院以“注重能力培养，致力开拓创新，服务社区经济”作为办学宗旨，坚持产学研相结合的办学指导思想，秉承“管理育人，教学育人，服务育人”的优良传统，强化校风、教风、学风建设，不断深化内部管理体制改革，努力完成教学、科研和开发、推广新技术的任务，积极加强和拓展与企业的联系，致力实现校企合作，努力为学生提供良好的实习基地。

Introduction of Foshan Vocational and Technical College

Foshan Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public higher vocational and technical college organized by the people’s Government of Foshan City in June 2000, approved by the people’s Government of Guangdong Province and filed by the Ministry of Education. The college is formed by the merger of the former Foshan Coalfield staff Geology College and Foshan Mechanical and Electrical School. The college is the headquarters unit of Foshan Vocational and Technical Education Base. The college is located in the national industrial park-Sanshui Industrial Park in Foshan City. The campus covers an area of 962mu, with a construction area of 235000 square meters, with a total investment of nearly 1 billion yuan. At present, there are five departments, such as the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the Department of Electronic Information, the Department of Automotive Engineering, the Department of Business Administration, the Department of Financial and Economic Management, and the Teaching Department of ideological and political Theory.

Teachers’ strength

The college has a team of “double-qualified” teachers with high ideological and political quality and strong professional and practical ability. There are 263 in-service faculty, including 164 full-time and part-time teachers, and 2-3 senior professional and technical teachers in key construction majors. There are seven teachers serving as presidents, directors and committee members in national, provincial and municipal professional societies and social academic organizations. The college takes “paying attention to the cultivation of ability, devoting itself to development and innovation, and serving the community economy” as the purpose of running a school, adhering to the guiding ideology of the combination of production, learning and research, and adhering to the fine tradition of “management and education, teaching and education, service and education”.
