湖北生态工程职业技术学院是经湖北省人民政府批准，教育部备案设立的国有公办全日制普通高等院校(原四批一)。学院创建于1952年，地处“九省通衢”的华中重镇武汉市，毗邻武汉·中国光谷，是国家生态环境建设紧缺人才培养基地、湖北省十大职业教育品牌、华中地区唯一的生态类高校，湖北省技能型人才培育突出贡献单位、大学生思想政治教育先进集体和湖北省大学生就业工作先进单位。

办学规模

学院占地面积729亩，校外实习基地11000亩，校舍建筑面积20万平方米，固定资产近4亿元，教学仪器设备总值8000万元，图书馆藏书60万册。学院建有中央财政支持的专业建设项目2个，国家级重点专业2个，省级重点专业2个，国家级示范性实训基地2个，省级示范性实训基地5个，湖北省高等学校战略性新兴(支柱)产业人才培养计划项目1个;建有园林设计、林业技术、园艺技术、室内设计、家具制造、机械制造、物流模拟、测量技术、模拟导游、电子商务、生物制药、生态工程、会计电算化、传媒策划、建筑工学、工程造价、汽车检测与维修等80多个设备先进的校内实训室，建有“产学结合”的武汉地大建筑工程设计有限公司生态工程设计研究院，以及绿航景观设计、创美装饰设计、旅游策划等3个工作室，并建有120余个稳定的校外实训基地。

学院现有教职工560人，其中专任教师418人，有博士生导师、教授、副教授、高级工程师等高级职称人员126人，外籍教师3人，楚天技能名师6人,“双师”素质教师258人;教师中取得博士、硕士学位的有220多人，6名教师享受国务院政府特殊津贴，3名教师享受湖北省人民政府专项津贴，3名教师被评为湖北省有突出贡献中青年专家。近几年，学院教科研成果丰硕，主持或参与省部级以上教科研项目200余项，获得各类科技奖励80余项，其中国家科技进步一等奖1项、二等奖2项，省科技进步一等奖3项、二等奖4项、三等奖10项，出版学术专著和国家规划教材400余部，发表国内外学术论文近1500余篇。

学院现有7院2部，全日制在校生12000余人，开设了林业技术、园林技术、室内设计技术、森林生态旅游、建筑工程技术、会计电算化、酒店管理、机电一体化技术、生物技术及应用、汽车检测与维修、物流管理、环境监测与治理、电子商务、艺术设计、景观设计、装饰艺术设计、雕刻与家具设计、城镇规划、园艺技术、传媒策划与管理、物业管理、市场营销、木材加工技术、工程测量、工程造价等30多个专业。其中，中央财政支持的重点建设专业2个，国家级重点专业2个，省级重点专业2个,“楚天技能名师”设岗专业16个。

办学特色风格

学院坚持开放办学，与中国林业科学研究院、北京林业大学、华中农业大学、武汉理工大学、中南财经政法大学、武汉工程科技学院、台湾中州科技大学等科研院所(校)合作共建专业及实训室，与东贝集团、凯迪控股集团、远洲集团、福汉木业集团、武汉长绿园林等300多家大型企业深度合作，积极构建“订单培养、工学结合”的人才培养模式，全力打造高素质技术技能型专门人才。学院高度重视毕业生就业工作，近三年毕业生就业率达95%，毕业生供不应求，普遍获得社会广泛认可和用人单位的好评。

学院坚持以高职教育为主体，同时与华中农业大学、中南财经政法大学、武汉理工大学等高校合作举办“专套本”, 学生可同时获取国家承认的本科学历。近几年，学院每年均有大批优秀毕业生通过“专升本”考试进入湖北大学、江汉大学、长江大学、武汉工程大学、湖北工业大学、湖北民族学院、武汉工程科技学院等本科院校继续深造。

Hubei Ecological Engineering Vocational and Technical College is a state-owned full-time ordinary university established by the Ministry of Education with the approval of the people’s Government of Hubei Province (formerly four batches and one). Founded in 1952, the college is located in Wuhan, an important town in central China, which is located in the “thoroughfare of nine provinces”, adjacent to Wuhan China Optical Valley. It is the national ecological environment construction shortage talent training base, the top ten vocational education brands in Hubei Province, the only ecological university in Central China, the outstanding contribution unit for the cultivation of skilled talents in Hubei Province, the advanced collective of ideological and political education of college students and the advanced unit of employment of college students in Hubei Province.

The college covers an area of 729mu, with an off-campus practice base of 11000 mu, a school building area of 200000 square meters, fixed assets of nearly 400m yuan, a total value of teaching equipment of 80 million yuan and a library collection of 600000 books. The college has 2 professional construction projects supported by central finance, 2 national key specialties, 2 provincial key specialties, 2 national demonstration training bases, 5 provincial demonstration training bases, and one strategic emerging (pillar) industry talent training plan for colleges and universities in Hubei Province. There are more than 80 advanced campus training rooms with advanced equipment, such as landscape design, forestry technology, horticultural technology, interior design, furniture manufacturing, mechanical manufacturing, logistics simulation, measurement technology, simulation tour guides, e-commerce, bio-pharmaceuticals, ecological engineering, accounting computerization, media planning, construction engineering, engineering cost, automobile inspection and maintenance, etc. Wuhan Dida Architectural Engineering Design Co., Ltd. is equipped with the Ecological Engineering Design and Research Institute of Wuhan Dida Architectural Engineering Design Co., Ltd., as well as three studios such as Green Aviation Landscape Design, Beauty creation Decoration Design and Tourism Planning, and has more than 120 stable off-campus training bases.

The college now has 560 faculty members, including 418 full-time teachers, 126 senior professional titles such as doctoral supervisors, professors, associate professors and senior engineers, 3 foreign teachers, 6 Chutian skilled teachers and 258 “double teachers” quality teachers. Among the teachers, more than 220 have obtained doctoral and master’s degrees, six teachers enjoy the special subsidy of the State Council, three teachers enjoy the special allowance of the people’s Government of Hubei Province, and three teachers are rated as young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions in Hubei Province. In recent years, the college has made fruitful achievements in teaching and scientific research, presided over or participated in more than 200 educational and scientific research projects at or above the provincial and ministerial level, and won more than 80 scientific and technological awards of various kinds, including one first prize and two second prizes for national scientific and technological progress. Characteristic style of running a school

The college insists on opening up to run a school, and cooperates with China Forestry Research Institute, Beijing Forestry University, Huazhong Agricultural University, Wuhan University of Technology, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Wuhan Institute of Engineering and Science and Technology, Taiwan Zhongzhou University of Science and Technology to build professional and training rooms, and to cooperate deeply with more than 300 large enterprises, including Dongbei Group, Kaidi holding Group, Yuanzhou Group, Fuhan Wood Group, Wuhan Evergreen Garden, etc. We will actively build a talent training model of “order training and the combination of work and learning”, and make every effort to create high-quality technical and skilled professionals. The college attaches great importance to the employment of graduates. In the past three years, the employment rate of graduates has reached 95%. The college insists on taking higher vocational education as the main body, and cooperates with Huazhong Agricultural University, Central South University of Economics and Law, Wuhan University of Technology and other universities to hold “special books”.
