湖北工程学院新技术学院

湖北工程学院新技术学院是2003年3月由湖北省教育厅批准试办、2004年2月经教育部确认，由湖北工程学院举办的一所本科层次的独立学院。学校位于武汉市卫星城市、汉孝子董永故里——孝感市城区，与武汉市相距45公里，距天河机场30公里。京广、汉渝铁路，107、316国道、京珠和汉十高速公路贯穿孝感市，交通十分便利。

学校依托湖北工程学院的优质办学资源，根据市场和社会需求，按大学科门类整合的思路现设置有语言文学系、财经政法系、信息工程系、城市建设系、生物化学系和机电工程系等6个教学系和1个公共课部，开办有27个本科专业和22个专科专业，其中大部分专业依托湖北工程学院的优势和特色专业开办，具有广阔的就业前景，生物工程专业现被列为湖北省教育厅重点(培育)本科专业建设项目，光电信息科学与工程和电子信息工程专业获批湖北省高等学校战略性新兴(支柱)产业人才培养计划项目。目前，学校共有在校学生近6700人。拥有专任教师318人，外聘教师121人。

学校通过明晰人才培养定位、优化人才培养方案和深化教育教学改革等一系列措施，保证人才培养质量稳步提高，学生综合素质、创新精神和实践能力明显增强。近几年，学生在市级以上各类竞赛中400余人次获奖。其中，学生曾获湖北省第八届“挑战杯”大学生课外学术科技作品竞赛特等奖、第四届全国大学生广告艺术大赛二等奖、全国大学生电子设计竞赛湖北赛区二等奖和第八届全国大学生智能汽车竞赛华南赛区二等奖等多个省级及以上奖项;学生小说《爱上世界上唯一的你》和散文集《梦里花落，流连未央》、《逆流梦雨》等作品公开出版;2008级法学专业学生参加国家司法考试一次性通过率达到40%;生物化学系近几届毕业生考研录取率一直在20%以上，其中生物工程专业2013届毕业生考研录取率达到50%;财经政法系2012届学生唐幸同时获得了美国四所知名大学的研究生录取函;毕业生就业率一直保持在90%以上，普遍受到用人单位好评。学校先后被授予“2009-2010年度省级平安校园”、“湖北省依法治校示范校”和“2014年度湖北省高校毕业生就业统计规范管理先进单位”等荣誉称号。

学校全面贯彻党和国家的教育方针，坚持社会主义办学方向，坚持“育人为本，德育为先;立足地方，培植特色;创新机制，开拓发展”的办学理念，以理工科为主体，多学科协调发展，努力为社会培养综合素质良好，实践能力突出的应用型高级专门人才，为区域经济发展和社会服务。学校定期邀请国内外知名专家、学者来校讲座，有效地引导学生积极开展学术研究、文化艺术、学习竞赛、社会实践和青年自愿者等活动;学校还有人文、科技、公益、艺术、体育等近20个学生社团，为活跃校园文化生活、提高学生综合素质创造了良好的条件和氛围。

The New Technology College of Hubei Institute of Engineering is an independent college at the undergraduate level approved by Hubei Provincial Department of Education in March 2003 and confirmed by the Ministry of Education in February 2004. The school is located in Wuhan Satellite City, Xiaogan City, the hometown of Han Xiaogan son Dong Yong, 45 kilometers away from Wuhan City and 30 kilometers away from Tianhe Airport. Beijing-Guangzhou, Han-Chongqing Railway, 107, 316 National Highway, Beijing-Zhuhai and Han-Shi Expressway run through Xiaogan City, the traffic is very convenient.

Relying on the high-quality school-running resources of Hubei Institute of Engineering, according to the needs of the market and society, according to the idea of the integration of major disciplines, there are 6 teaching departments and 1 public course department, such as language and Literature Department, Finance and Economics and Law Department, Information Engineering Department, Urban Construction Department, Biochemistry Department and Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department. There are 27 undergraduate majors and 22 junior colleges. Most of these majors rely on the advantages and characteristics of Hubei Institute of Engineering, and have broad employment prospects. Bioengineering is now listed as the key (cultivation) undergraduate specialty construction project of the Department of Education of Hubei Province. optoelectronic information science and engineering and electronic information engineering have been approved the strategic emerging (pillar) industry talent training program of Hubei colleges and universities. At present, there are nearly 6700 students in the school. It has 318 full-time teachers and 121 external teachers.

Through a series of measures such as clarifying the orientation of personnel training, optimizing talent training programs and deepening education and teaching reform, the school ensures that the quality of talent training is steadily improved, and students’ comprehensive quality, innovative spirit and practical ability are obviously enhanced. In recent years, more than 400 students have won prizes in various competitions above the municipal level. Among them, the students have won the special prize of the eighth Challenge Cup extracurricular academic and technological works Competition of Hubei Province, the second prize of the fourth National College Student Advertising Art Competition, the second prize of Hubei Division of the National Electronic Design Competition for College students, and the second prize of the eighth National Intelligent car Competition for College students in South China and other provincial and above awards. The student novel “falling in Love with the only you in the World” and the collection of essays “Flowers in Dreams, lingering in Weiyang” and “Dream Rain against the current” have been published; the one-time pass rate of law students of the class of 2008 in the national judicial examination has reached 40%; the admission rate of recent graduates of the Department of Biochemistry has been more than 20%, of which the admission rate of graduates of the class of 2013 majoring in bioengineering has reached 50%. Tang Xing, a student of the class of 2012 majoring in finance and economics and law, also received postgraduate acceptance letters from four well-known universities in the United States; the employment rate of graduates has been maintained at more than 90 percent, which is generally praised by employers. The school has been awarded the honorary titles of “Provincial safe Campus in 2009-2010”, “demonstration School in Hubei Province according to Law” and “Advanced Management Unit of Employment Statistics of College graduates in Hubei Province in 2009”.
