  山东大学是中国近代高等教育的起源性大学。其主体是1901年的山东大学堂,是继京师大学堂之后的第二所国立大学,也是中国第一所按章程办学的大学。学校先后历经了山东大学堂、国立青岛大学、国立山东大学、山东大学以及由原山东大学、山东医科大学、山东工业大学三校合并组建的新山东大学等几个历史发展时期。

  研究生教育历史

  山东大学拥有悠久的研究生教育历史。山东大学学位与研究生教育发端于1924年,原山东医科大学的前身齐鲁大学已获得授予医学学科毕业生加拿大多伦多大学医学博士学位的资格。新中国成立后,山东大学培养了最早的一批博士生、硕士生,中文、历史专业在1953年即开始招收研究生,生物化学、组织学与胚胎学、临床内科学、普通外科学、耳鼻喉科学、皮肤性病学等专业在1955年开始招收研究生。1981年,《中华人民共和国学位条例》颁布实施后,山东大学成为国家首批博士、硕士学位授权单位,在中国古代文学、中国古代史、基础数学、运筹学与控制论、高能物理、磁学、物理化学、微生物学、妇产科学等9个专业招收博士生,在20余个专业招收硕士生。2000年6月,教育部批准山东大学设立研究生院,学校学位与研究生教育事业由此获得长足发展。

  如今的山东大学已经形成了济南、威海、青岛一校三地的办学格局,截至2019年9月底,研究生在校生规模已近25000人(不含在职教育),其中在校博士生5225余人。规模宏大、潜力深厚,为国家经济社会发展培养了一大批栋梁之才,为各行各业高层次、专业型人才的储备奠定了扎实基础。在2018年召开的山东大学第十四次党代会上,确定了以提升研究生培养质量为核心,以培养富有创造力的研究生为目标,走内涵式发展道路的发展方向。2020年,以“培养最具创造力的研究生”为目标,制订山东大学首个研究生教育综合改革发展意见,研究生教育以立德树人、服务需求为鲜明旗帜,全面进入新时代。

  山东大学拥有一支高水平的导师队伍。现有研究生导师3088人,其中博士生导师1261人。诺贝尔物理学奖获得者Peter Grünberg教授加盟山东大学,受聘为特聘教授;山东大学研究生导师莫言教授荣获2012年诺贝尔文学奖。深入落实导师立德树人职责。2019年出台《导师队伍建设方案》,强化立德树人要求,提出导师团队模式改革意见。加强新聘导师的岗前培训,明确校院协同的导师培训机制,积极开展导师思政、导师培训、导师沙龙、导师国际化能力提升项目等活动,大力提升导师育人能力。

  研究生培养体系

  山东大学拥有完整的研究生培养体系。现有博士学位授权一级学科44个,博士学位授权二级学科1个,硕士学位授权一级学科10个,涉及哲学、经济学、法学、教育学、文学、历史学、理学、工学、医学、管理学和艺术学11个学科门类。现有博士专业学位授权类别3个,硕士专业学位授权类别27个,其中工程硕士专业学位具有21个授权领域。2018年,山东大学自主增设的“数据科学”和“人工智能”两个交叉学科学位授权点,开启了促进学科交叉融合、构建交叉学科和学科交叉研究生培养新机制、促进高层次复合型人才成长、引领研究生教育内涵式发展的新篇章。

  山东大学拥有一流的科研和育人平台。学科现代化建设成果显著,形成了金融数学、生殖医学、密码学等一批世界顶级学科,在全球ESI排名中,有5个学科进入前1‰,18个学科进入前1%。立足服务国家,与学科建设相协同,学位点现代化工程布局凸显科技创新与重大需求导向,坚持高端引领和学科交叉,与经济增长模式转换相适应。特别突出信息学科与其他领域的交叉融合,使研究生教育平台发展始终面向科技最前沿,主动适应经济高质量发展。推动学科方向在前沿聚焦,在主流汇聚。追踪世界科技前沿、服务于国家重大战略需求,解决国家经济社会发展过程中的卡脖子问题,以学科汇聚、融合、交叉为引擎,整合老化和碎片化学科方向,持续推动传统学科和学位点赋能改造,推进研究领域和研究方向的现代化。

Shandong University is the origin of higher education in modern China. Its main body is Shandong University in 1901, which is the second national university after Beijing University, and the first university in China to run a school in accordance with the regulations. The school has gone through several periods of historical development, such as Shandong University, National Qingdao University, National Shandong University, Shandong University and the new Shandong University formed by the merger of the former Shandong University, Shandong Medical University and Shandong University of Technology.

History of postgraduate education

Shandong University has a long history of graduate education. The degree and postgraduate education of Shandong University originated in 1924. Qilu University, the predecessor of Shandong Medical University, has been awarded the qualification of medical graduates from the University of Toronto in Canada. After the founding of New China, Shandong University trained the first batch of doctoral and master’s degree students. Chinese and history majors began to enroll postgraduates in 1953. Biochemistry, histology and embryology, clinical internal medicine, general surgery, otorhinolaryngology, dermatology and venereology began to enroll postgraduates in 1955. After the promulgation and implementation of the regulations of the people’s Republic of China on academic degrees in 1981, Shandong University became the first batch of authorized units for doctoral and master’s degrees. Doctoral students are enrolled in nine majors, including ancient Chinese literature, ancient Chinese history, basic mathematics, operational research and cybernetics, high-energy physics, magnetism, physical chemistry, microbiology, and obstetrics and gynaecology, and master’s degree students in more than 20 majors. In June 2000, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of a graduate school in Shandong University, which made great progress in the cause of degree and graduate education.

Today, Shandong University has formed a school-running pattern of Jinan, Weihai and Qingdao. By the end of September 2019, there were nearly 25000 graduate students (excluding on-the-job education), including more than 5225 doctoral students. With large scale and deep potential, it has trained a large number of pillar talents for the country’s economic and social development, and laid a solid foundation for the reserve of high-level and professional talents in various industries. At the 14th Party Congress of Shandong University held in 2018, the development direction of connotative development was determined with improving the training quality of graduate students as the core and training creative graduate students as the goal. In 2020, with ldquo; training the most creative graduate student & rdquo; as the goal, we will formulate the first comprehensive reform and development of postgraduate education in Shandong University. Graduate education has entered a new era in an all-round way under the bright banner of morality and service demand.

Shandong University has a team of high-level mentors. At present, there are 3088 graduate supervisors, including 1261 doctoral supervisors. Professor Peter Grünberg, the winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics, joined Shandong University and was appointed as a distinguished professor. Professor Mo Yan, a graduate supervisor of Shandong University, won the 2012 Nobel Prize for Literature. We will thoroughly implement the duty of mentors to establish morality and cultivate people. In 2019, the “mentor team Construction Plan” was issued to strengthen the requirements of establishing morality and cultivating people, and put forward suggestions on the reform of the mentor team model. Strengthen the pre-job training of newly hired mentors, clarify the mentor training mechanism of coordination between universities and colleges, and actively carry out activities such as mentor thinking, mentor training, mentor salon, mentor international ability promotion project, and vigorously improve the tutor’s ability to educate people.

Postgraduate training system

Shandong University has a complete graduate training system. At present, there are 44 first-tier disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, 1 second-level disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, and 10 first-tier disciplines authorized by master’s degrees, involving 11 disciplines: philosophy, economics, law, pedagogy, literature, history, science, engineering, medicine, management and art. At present, there are 3 authorized categories of doctoral professional degrees and 27 authorized categories of master’s professional degrees, of which the master’s degree of engineering has 21 authorized fields. In 2018, two interdisciplinary degree authorization points & ldquo; data Science & rdquo; and & ldquo; artificial Intelligence & rdquo; were independently established by Shandong University, which opened a new chapter in promoting interdisciplinary integration, building a new mechanism for cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary postgraduate training, promoting the growth of high-level compound talents, and leading the connotative development of graduate education.

Shandong University has a first-class platform for scientific research and education. Based on serving the country and in coordination with discipline construction, the layout of the modernization project highlights scientific and technological innovation and major demand orientation, adheres to high-end leadership and discipline intersection, and adapts to the transformation of economic growth mode. Special emphasis on the cross-integration of information disciplines and other fields, so that the development of graduate education platform has always been oriented to the forefront of science and technology, actively adapt to high-quality economic development. Promote the direction of the discipline to focus at the forefront and converge in the mainstream. We should track the frontiers of science and technology in the world, serve the major strategic needs of the country, solve the problem of sticking neck in the process of national economic and social development, and integrate the direction of aging and fragment chemistry with the convergence, integration and intersection of disciplines. We will continue to promote the empowerment transformation of traditional disciplines and academic sites, and promote the modernization of research fields and research directions.
