苏州科技学院天平学院

苏州科技学院天平学院是经教育部批准的、本科层次的全日制普通高等院校，学制四年。学院地处古城苏州的西部——国家级高新技术产业开发区内，是江苏省内成立较早的独立学院之一。

苏州科技学院天平学院由苏州科技学院申办，经原江苏省教育委员会(苏教计[1999]215号)1999年9月批准成立的公有民办二级学院。2005年按照教育部[2003]第8号文件精神和江苏省教育厅(苏教发[2005]40号)文件精神，学院改办为独立学院。苏州科技学院天平学院校园占地300余亩，建筑面积约16万平方米，总投资5亿元人民币，在校学生近5200人。

学院发展

苏州科技学院天平学院依托苏州科技学院的品牌学科与优质师资，设置的专业大都社会需求量大、就业前景好。她秉承“致远至恒，务学悟真”的校训，以培养应用型本科人才为目标，严格教学管理，保证教学质量;贯彻“跟进式教育”理念，以“德育先行，党建导航;活动推进，增强能力”为工作思路，培养学生的创新能力与实践能力。多年来形成了以素质教育为主线，学生就业为导向，应用型本科人才培养为目标的办学特色。

学院校园环境幽雅，基础设施齐全，是莘莘学子理想的学习深造场所。学院不仅在苏州市长江路55号(原长江路8号)拥有独立校园，建有现代化的教学大楼和实验大楼、网络中心、多媒体教室、语音室、计算中心、图书馆、标准的田径运动场和足球场等教育教学设施;还共享举办高校—苏州科技学院江枫校区和石湖校区先进的教学资源。学生公寓4-6人一间，设施齐全，大部分学生公寓配有热水器和独立的卫生设施。餐饮服务和物业管理等由苏州科技学院后勤总公司统一提供。学院生活后勤实行社会化管理，学校引进有着丰富的校园经营管理经验的商家从事餐饮及其他服务工作，为学生提供一流的生活后勤服务。

专业设置

该院设有土木工程、环境工程、人力资源管理、给水排水工程、电子信息工程、计算机科学与技术、机械设计制造及其自动化、电气工程及其自动化、园林、工程管理、工商管理、市场营销、汉语言文学、英语、日语、艺术设计(室内设计方向)、艺术设计(平面设计方向)、音乐学等17个专业(方向)。设有综合办公室、财务处、教务处、学生处、团委、总务处、保卫处等行政管理机构，以及人文科学系、管理科学系、城建环保系和机电工程系、基础部等教学管理机构。为了加强学生管理，还以所属系为单位建立了四个系级学生工作办公室。学院拥有一支专兼职相结合的教师队伍、学生及行政管理队伍。

The balance College of Suzhou University of Science and Technology is sponsored by Suzhou Institute of Science and Technology and approved by the former Jiangsu Provincial Education Commission (Su Jiaobi [1999] No. 215) in September 1999. In 2005, according to the spirit of document No. 8 of the Ministry of Education [2003] and the document of Jiangsu Education Department (Su Jiaofa [2005] No. 40), the college was transformed into an independent college. The campus of Tianping College of Suzhou University of Science and Technology covers an area of more than 300mu, with a construction area of about 160000 square meters, with a total investment of 500 million yuan, with nearly 5200 students.
