川北医学院

川北医学院坐落在四川省历史文化名城、三国文化发祥地——南充市。六十四年来，学校始终坚持“艰苦奋斗、自强不息”的办学精神，秉承“敬业、博爱、求是、创新”的校训，形成了“以人为本，以质量为生命”的办学思想，确立了“知识、能力、素质”三位一体的人才培养模式，现已发展成为一所以医学为主体，医、理、文、管、工多学科协调发展的省属高等医学院校。

学校创办于1951年，初名为西南区川北医士学校;1965年升格为专科，定名为南充医学专科学校;1985年升格为本科，定名为川北医学院;2005年，开始招收留学生;2006年获得硕士学位授予权。现已成为全国首批“卓越医生教育培养计划”试点建设高校、卫生部腹腔镜手术普外培训基地和四川省医学影像学、临床医学本科人才培养基地。

学校现有全日制学生16775人，其中专科学生2709人、本科13407人、研究生455人、留学生204人;继续教育学生19585人，基本形成了以研究生教育为龙头、本科教育为主体、留学生教育为窗口、继续教育为补充的多层次办学格局。

学校建有南充顺庆、南充高坪两个校区，占地面积1300余亩;学校现有17个专业教学单位，临床医学等16个本科专业，医学影像学为国家级特色建设专业，医学影像学、医学检验技术、眼视光学和麻醉学专业为四川省特色专业，医学影像学、口腔医学、麻醉学为四川省一本招生专业;10门省级精品课程，8门省级精品资源共享课。图书馆藏书一百三十余万册;直管和非直管附属医院24所，教学实习医院55所。

学校临床医学、基础医学为硕士学位一级学科，覆盖二级学科硕士学位授权点26个，有临床医学、护理学2个硕士专业学位授权点，2个联合培养博士点，1个四川省博士后创新实践基地;肛肠科为国家临床重点专科，中医肛肠科为国家中医药重点专科，内科学为省级重点学科，有医学影像学等14个省级医学重点学科。

学校建有医学影像学研究所等10个研究所，临床免疫实验室等4个国家中医药科研二级实验室，医学影像四川省重点实验室，风湿免疫与感染免疫实验室等4个省级高校重点实验室，1个四川省人文社科重点研究基地。近年来，先后承担了国家自然科学基金、国家社科基金等各级各类课题900余项，获省部级成果奖30余项，教师学术论文被国际顶级学术期刊《Nature》刊用。学校公开出版刊物《川北医学院学报》为中国科技核心期刊。

学校有专任教师近900名，其中具有博士、硕士学位以上的500余人，教授、副教授高级职称300多人，享受国务院特殊津贴专家、省部级学术技术带头人、四川省有突出贡献的优秀专家、留学归国专家学者近100人。在注重业务素质的同时，学校大力加强师德师风建设和职业素养道德建设，获评为“全国师德师风建设先进集体”。

学校于2007年通过了教育部本科教学工作水平评估获得优秀;学生连续数年在全国大学生课外学术科技作品竞赛、全国大学生创业计划竞赛上获奖、全国高等医学院校大学生临床技能竞赛西南西北分区赛中获奖;本专科毕业生就业率始终保持在95%以上，研究生就业率一直保持100%;学校连续多年被评为“四川省普通高校就业工作先进集体”。同时，学校坚持全员育人、全过程育人、全方位育人，不断推进大学生思想政治教育工作的制度化、规范化。

学校与美国、英国、加拿大、日本等国的高校和教育科研机构建立了良好的合作关系，并与美国托莱多大学药学院结为姊妹学校，进行互派专家讲学、教师进修和互派学生等交流活动;招收了来自美国、加拿大、印度等国的学历和非学历教育留学生;学校积极参与“川港康复培训计划”，与香港中文大学合作培养康复治疗专业人才。

当前，学校深入贯彻落实科学发展观，全面贯彻党的教育方针，继续解放思想，深化教育综合改革，转变教育发展方式，深入推进学校第六次党代会提出的质量工程、人才工程、科技创新工程、管理创新工程、校园文化工程等“五大工程”，全面实施学校“十二五”发展规划提出的教育质量提升计划、科技创新支持计划、人才队伍素质提升计划等“八大提升计划”，努力把学校建设成为特色明显、优势突出、人民满意的高水平医科大学。

North Sichuan Medical College is located in Nanchong, a famous historical and cultural city of Sichuan Province and the birthplace of the culture of the three Kingdoms. Over the past 64 years, the school has always adhered to the spirit of “hard struggle and continuous self-improvement”, adhered to the motto of “dedication, fraternity, seeking truth and innovation”, and formed the idea of “people-oriented and quality-oriented”. The talent training mode of “knowledge, ability and quality” has been established, and now it has developed into a school with medicine as the main body. A provincial medical college with the coordinated development of medicine, science, liberal arts, management and engineering.

The school was founded in 1951 and was originally called Southwest North Sichuan Medical School; in 1965, it was upgraded to a junior college and named Nanchong Medical College; in 1985, it was upgraded to undergraduate course and named as North Sichuan Medical College; in 2005, it began to enroll foreign students; in 2006, it was granted the right to grant a master’s degree. Now it has become the first batch of “excellent Doctor Education and training Program” pilot construction of colleges and universities, the Ministry of Health laparoscopic surgery general training base and Sichuan medical imaging, clinical medicine undergraduate training base.

The school now has 16775 full-time students, including 2709 junior college students, 13407 undergraduate students, 455 graduate students and 19585 foreign students. Basically formed a multi-level school-running pattern with graduate education as the leader, undergraduate education as the main body, foreign students education as the window and continuing education as the supplement.

The school has two campuses of Nanchong Shunqing and Nanchong Gaoping, covering an area of more than 1300 mu. The school now has 17 professional teaching units and 16 undergraduate majors such as clinical medicine. Medical imaging is a national characteristic construction major. Medical imaging, medical laboratory technology, ophthalmology and anesthesiology are characteristic majors in Sichuan Province, while medical imaging, stomatology and anesthesiology are the first enrollment majors in Sichuan Province. There are 10 provincial quality courses and 8 provincial quality resource sharing courses. The library has a collection of more than 130 million books, 24 directly managed and non-directly administered affiliated hospitals, and 55 teaching practice hospitals.

Clinical medicine and basic medicine are first-level disciplines of master’s degree, covering 26 master’s degree authorization points of second-tier disciplines. There are 2 master’s degree authorization points in clinical medicine and nursing, 2 joint training doctoral programs, and a postdoctoral innovation practice base in Sichuan Province. Anorectal department is a national clinical key specialty, traditional Chinese medicine anorectal department is a national key specialty of traditional Chinese medicine, internal medicine is a provincial key discipline, there are 14 provincial medical key disciplines such as medical imaging.

The school has 10 research institutes, including the Institute of Medical Imaging, Clinical Immunology Laboratory and other four national second-level laboratories of traditional Chinese medicine, Sichuan key Laboratory of Medical Imaging, rheumatism immunity and infection immunity laboratory, and one key research base of humanities and social sciences in Sichuan Province. In recent years, he has undertaken more than 900 projects at all levels, such as the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Social Science Foundation, and won more than 30 provincial and ministerial achievement awards. Teachers’ academic papers have been used by the international top academic journal “Nature”. The journal of North Sichuan Medical College, published by the school, is the core journal of science and technology in China.

The school has nearly 900 full-time teachers, including more than 500 with doctoral or master’s degrees, and more than 300 senior titles of professors and associate professors. there are nearly 100 experts who enjoy the special allowance of the State Council, provincial and ministerial-level academic and technical leaders, outstanding experts with outstanding contributions in Sichuan Province, and returned experts and scholars studying abroad. While paying attention to professional quality, the school made great efforts to strengthen the construction of teachers’ ethics and professional quality, and was awarded as “National Advanced Collective in the Construction of Teachers’ Ethics”.

In 2007, the school passed the undergraduate teaching level evaluation of the Ministry of Education and obtained excellence; for several consecutive years, students won prizes in the National extracurricular academic Science and Technology work Competition for College students, the National Entrepreneurship Plan Competition for College students, and the Southwest and Northwest Division Competition for Medical College students. The employment rate of college graduates has always been more than 95%, and the employment rate of graduate students has been maintained at 100%. The school has established a good cooperative relationship with universities and educational and scientific research institutions in the United States, Britain, Canada, Japan and other countries, and has formed a sister school with the School of Pharmacy of the University of Toledo in the United States. carry out exchange activities such as exchanging experts to give lectures, teachers’ further studies and students, and recruit foreign students with academic and non-academic qualifications from the United States, Canada, India and other countries. The school actively participates in the Sichuan-Hong Kong Rehabilitation training Program and cooperates with the Chinese University of Hong Kong to train rehabilitation professionals.
