厦门东海职业技术学院的简介

厦门东海职业技术学院是经福建省人民政府批准,国家教育部备案,纳入全国高考统招计划,具有独立颁发国家承认的高等教育大专学历文凭资格的全日制民办综合性普通高校。学校坐落在千年古城——厦门同安文教区,具有得天独厚的地理位置和浓厚的文化底蕴。

办学以来,学校校区建设投资总额超2.5亿元,校区第一期占地260亩,校舍总建筑面积6.67万平方米,教学仪器设备总值1371万元,师生教学与学习生活条件优越。同时,学校突出“以人为本”的管理和服务理念,推行专业化的校园管理与服务,全面开展标准化的校园管理模式,倡导师生的民主参与、自律管理、自助服务,努力营造一个文明、安全、温馨的“师生之家”。

学校专业特色鲜明,专业门类较齐全,在专业设置上突出职业群的针对性、适应性、地区性的特点。目前,学校设有经济管理学院、工程技术学院、传媒与艺术学院、航空旅游学院、信息工程学院、特殊教学院、公共教学部、成人教育学院等8个院(部),共开设酒店管理、电梯工程技术、老年服务与管理、国际商务、工程造价、建筑工程管理、视觉传达艺术设计、环境监测与评价和空中乘务等29个高职专业,其中酒店管理专业、物流管理专业是厦门市重点建设专业。

学校高度重视师资队伍建设,拥有一批知识渊博、学术精湛、教学经验丰富的专家教授和一支思想素质好、业务水平高、实践教学能力强的“双师型”师资队伍,其中高级职称教师占专任教师的20.19%,具有硕士研究生以上学历教师占专任教师的19.23%,“双师”素质教师占专任教师的57.69%。学校主要领导在高职教育领域具有丰富的管理经验和研究成果,各二级学院的专业带头人和相关专业的骨干教师队伍,在各自的专业领域都有较为显著的学术成果,已逐渐形成较强的教学科研能力。
