华北电力大学保定校区介绍

华北电力大学保定校区是教育部直属国家“211工程”、“111计划”、“千人计划”、“特色985工程””首批“卓越工程师教育培养计划”重点建设高校;是教育部与国家电网公司等七家特大型电力企业集团组成的校理事会共建的全国重点大学，有“电力黄埔”之称。

办学特色

“大电力”学科专业体系面对以创新能源和可再生能源为主导的世界能源发展趋势，学校抓住机
遇，构建“以优势学科为基础，以新兴能源学科为重点，以文理学科为支撑”的“大电力”学科专业体系，使学校在能源电力领域始终保持优势。学校在电气、动力等优势学科的基础上，发展环境、核能、水电、风能、太阳能、生物能等学科，发展经济、管理、法学、数学、物理等文理学科，注重机械、电子、材料、控制信息以及文理学科与能源电力学科的结合，通过相互渗透、交叉融合，使各学科的内涵形成自身的特色，共同构建起凸现“大电力”特色的学科专业体系。

硬件设施

截止2012年，学校占地1609亩，建筑总面积100万余平方米，固定资产28亿多元，其中教学科研仪器设备达近3亿元，图书馆藏书207万册。
