南理工大学广州学院(原华南理工大学广州汽车学院)是教育部批准设立的一所以工科为主,经济、管理、文学、理学、艺术协调发展的多科性大学。主办方华南理工大学是国家211、985工程重点建设大学。学校位于广州市花都区,坐拥天狮岭,比邻天马河,校园内地势蜿蜒起伏,建筑错落有致;绿树成荫,花香流溢,是读书治学的理想园地,被学生称为广州最美的大学之一。

办学条件:投资到位建设超前

学校占地面积1723亩,已完成基建规模近50万平方米。公共教学楼、行政办公楼、实验楼、工程训练中心、信息中心、图书馆、室内体育中心、学生活动中心、游泳池等教学设施错落有致、配套齐全。图书馆藏书84.21万册,电子图书70万种。学校特别注重实验实习基地的建设,投入巨资建成了5个基础实验中心和9个专业实验中心共153个实验室。现有广东省实验示范中心2个,国家级大学生校外实践基地1个,省级学生校外实践基地2个,为培养高素质应用型人才提供了强有力的支撑。2008年生均教学科研仪器设备价值在广东省所有高校中排名第五。

学科建设:打造优势凝炼特色

学校根据广东省经济社会发展需求,紧紧围绕珠三角地区优先发展的先进制造业、现代服务业、信息产业对人才的需求,按照“以工为主,多科发展”的学科建设思路规划和优化学科专业设置。

2011年,学校本着“优势互补、专业共建、合作育人、合作就业”的模式,与世界著名企业中兴通讯强强联合、深度合作创办了面向通讯企业培养应用型人才的“中兴通讯3G学院”。引进国际商科资源和工程师专家,按照国际化培养模式,开办了国际商学院、国际工程师学院。

学校现有汽车工程学院、机械工程学院、电子信息工程学院、电气工程学院、计算机工程学院、管理学院、经济学院、外国语学院、珠宝学院、建筑学院、土木工程学院、中兴通信工程学院、国际商学院及国际工程师学院14个二级学院,
设置车辆工程、机械电子工程、通信工程、电气工程及其自动化、计算机科学与技术、国际经济贸易、土木工程、建筑学、宝石及材料工艺学、英语等30个专业。现有校级重点学科3个,特色专业6个。2011年学校以优秀成绩通过了独立学院学士学位授予权评审。目前,在校生人数17500多人。

队伍建设:名师济济人才荟萃

学校作为华南理工大学唯一的独立学院,华工非常重视学校的建设和发展,并将其作为教育改革和创新办学模式的重要组成部分。在人事安排上,由华工一名常务副校长任广州学院校长,选派著名教授、管理骨干40多人任学科带头人、课程负责人。在师资队伍建设上,实行“对口支持”,一个学院扶持一个二级学院。

在师资培养上,学校始终坚持“人才强校”战略,通过“以老带新”、“内聘讲师”、“内聘副教授”等措施促进青年教师快速成长。为了提升师资队伍整体水平,鼓励教职员工多出成果,学校推出了“双百工程”,引进100名中青年学科专业骨干,每年拿出100万奖励优秀教学和科研成果。学校现已形成了一支以华工选派教师和学校引进教师为主、以兼职教师为辅的高素质教师队伍。学校现有教师940人,专任教师中副高以上职称占45%。其中广东省教学名师4人;原华工教学名师8人;国家级精品课程负责人3人;省级精品课程负责人5人。2013年由我校李杞仪教授主持的《基于科技竞赛的应用型创新人才培养模式——独立学院人才培养的探索与实践》项目获广东省教学成果二等奖。

教改创新:积极探索敢为人先

办学以来,学校围绕应用型人才培养目标,大胆创新办学模式、培养模式和管理模式,推出了一系列创新举措。

2008年,针对日趋严峻的就业形势,学校实施了旨在提升学生就业核心竞争力的“大三战略”。着力构建应用型人才新的知识、能力、素质结构体系;构建技能和职业资格培训体系;构建个人拓展和创新实践保障体系;构建就业服务体系;着力培养学生的“专长”,确保学生高质量就业。同时实施了“应用型人才综合培养方案改革创新工程”。开创性地提出了“个人拓展计划”的概念,专门设置了“专长拓展模块”,用15个学分对学生进行个性化的培养,形成了“横向可拓展,纵向可提升”的培养体系。

2010年,学校创办了机电创新实验班,瞄准机器人技术、数控技术等先进制造技术,突破旧的以课堂为中心的教学模式,以工程研究院为依托,采取“研究式学习”“探究式学习”、“参与研发项目,带研究任务学习”等多种形式,探索以问题和课题为核心的教学模式。

学校实施“校园文化建设工程”,倡导第一课堂和第二课堂互为补充,开展丰富多彩的校园文化活动,举办科技文化节、社团文化节、科技竞赛、学术节、品牌讲座等一系列活动,以科技、文化、艺术为载体,提高学生人文素养。学校积极支持学生社团建设,到目前为止已形成覆盖社会公益、文化艺术、学术科技、学习实践、体育竞技等五类50个学生社团。在第十一届“挑战杯”全国大学生课外学术科技作品竞赛中,我校学生作品获得一等奖,也是全国唯一获得一等奖的独立学院。在教育部、科技部、中国科学院、中国科协、中央电视台联合组织的亚太地区全国大学生机器人国内选拔赛中,我校代表队连续四年以小组第一的优异成绩进入十六强,并在2012年获二等奖。在第十二届中国国际高新技术成果交易会上,我校有平面多关节机器人、迎宾机器人和智能家居三项成果展出,是高等院校中唯一参展的独立学院。在第五届全国大学生机械创新设计大赛中,我校获一等奖4项二等奖2项。

科学研究:广建平台育成果

学校积极探索产学研结合新模式,2009年学校与云峰企业联合创建了工程研究院,搭建起了科研创新平台。工程研究院成立了机器人应用研究所、汽车新技术研究所、数字化应用研究所、珠宝研究所和节能与信息技术研究所。近4年承担国家级、省部级科研项目有50多项,到校科研经费2019多万元,申请专利64项。科研项目和申请专利数连续多年位居全国同类院校前列。

“智能家居”项目获工业和信息化部电子信息司、广东省经信息委、广州番禺区政府联合主办的《第一届数字家庭技术创新与产业应用年会暨数字家庭整体解决方案大赛》二等奖。

开放办学:放眼全球国际化育人

学校积极引进国(境)外优质智力资源和教育资源,开展全方位、多层次、宽领域的国际交流与合作。

先后与美国、英国、法国、澳大利亚、加拿大、荷兰等十多个国家和台湾地区30多所院校签订了合作意向书,开展广泛深入的学术交流和科研合作。近500多名学生参加国外高校研习、学术交流、2+2、3+1国际交换生项目。

学校与美国托马斯大学合作开办的宝石及材料工艺学(珠宝鉴定与营销)专业是教育部批准的“中外合作办学项目”。此外,学校还与台湾树德科技大学联合举办工业设计专业。

2012年,学校设立了国际交流基金,每年拿出100万元以全额、半额及生活补贴等多种资助形式,资助成绩优异的学生赴海外留学研修。

春风化雨、桃李芬芳。近几年,学校毕业生就业率均超过99%,一直保持在全国同类高校前列,毕业生获得两项以上技能证书和资格证书的占92%。

Guangzhou College of South China University of Technology (formerly Guangzhou College of Automobile, South China University of Technology) is a multidisciplinary university approved by the Ministry of Education, which focuses on engineering and the coordinated development of economy, management, literature, science and art. School-running conditions: investment in place and construction ahead of time

The school covers an area of 1723 mu and has completed an infrastructure construction of nearly 500000 square meters. In 2008, in view of the increasingly severe employment situation, the school implemented the “junior strategy” aimed at improving the core competitiveness of students’ employment. Scientific Research: educational Achievement of Guangjian platform

The school actively explores the new mode of industry-university-research integration. In 2009, the school and Yunfeng enterprises jointly established the Engineering Research Institute and set up a scientific research and innovation platform. Open School: looking at Global internationalization to educate people

The school actively introduces high-quality intellectual and educational resources outside the country (territory) to carry out omni-directional, multi-level and wide-ranging international exchanges and cooperation.

It has successively signed letters of intent with more than 10 countries and more than 30 universities in Taiwan, including the United States, Britain, France, Australia, Canada and the Netherlands, to carry out extensive and in-depth academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation. Nearly 500 students have participated in foreign university studies, academic exchanges, 2th and 31st international exchange programs.
