西南科技大学

西南科技大学坐落于大禹之乡、李白故里、人杰地灵的中国科技城——四川省绵阳市。建校以来，学校几经搬迁，走过了创业、发展、壮大的不平凡历程。学校扎根西部，始终坚持“育人为本、德育为先、科学理性、开放包容、彰显卓越”的办学理念和“质量立校、人才强校、特色建校、和谐兴校”的办学思路，形成了“艰苦奋斗，拼搏创新”的西南科技大学精神与“厚德、博学、笃行、创新”之校训。

学校校园占地4088亩，校舍建筑面积115万平方米。现有在校研究生和普通本专科学生3万余人，设有国防科技学院等17个学院(部)，在工学、农学、理学、经济学、法学、文学、管理学、教育学、艺术学等9大学科门类，设有78个本科专业、17个硕士学位授权一级学科、7个硕士专业学位类别和3个博士学位授权一级学科，1个博士后科研创新实践基地，4个学科方向与中国工程物理研究院等开展联合培养博士研究生。

学校现有国防基础学科1个、省级重点学科11个，国家级特色专业建设点6个、国家级专业综合改革试点专业1个、国家级“卓越工程师培养计划”专业7个、国防紧缺专业1 个、国防重点专业1个、省级特色专业15个;拥有省部共建国家重点实验室培育基地1个、国家工程技术研究中心1个(共建)、国防重点学科实验室1个、教育部重点实验室2个、教育部工程研究中心1个、教育部区域研究培训基地1个，省级重点实验室2个、省级工程技术研究中心2个、省级高校重点实验室10个、省级哲学社会科学重点研究基地2个、省级人文社科重点研究基地1个、省级国际科技合作基地1个、省级哲学社会科学普及基地1个，与企事业单位联合共建科研平台23个;现有国家级实验教学示范中心1个、省级实验教学示范中心6个，国家精品课程3门、四川省精品课程36门，国家级教学团队2个、省级教学团队6个。

学校拥有一支高素质的师资队伍，其中包括中国工程院院士1人，国防科技创新团队1个，从董事单位等聘任院士12人;有“长江学者奖励计划”特聘教授、“国家杰出青年基金项目”获得者、“新世纪百千万人才工程”国家级人选、“教育部新世纪人才计划”人选、享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家、四川省有突出贡献的优秀专家、四川省学术和技术带头人、四川省学术和技术带头人后备人选、四川省教学名师120余人次。

学校努力提高协同创新能力，积极参与区域经济建设，在先进建筑材料、核废物与环境安全、植物遗传与育种、非金属矿产资源开发、特殊环境机器人技术、生物技术等方面形成了较强的特色与优势。近年来，学校完成了多项国家”973″、”863″计划、国家科技支撑计划重点项目、国家自然科学基金重点项目、国家重大仪器专项、国防重点项目、国家社科基金项目，获得国家和省部级科技奖励260多项。
