北华大学

北华大学简介

北华大学，简称北华，坐落在中国吉林省吉林市，是吉林省省属规模最大的综合性重点大学，“卓越医生教育培养计划”试点高校，国家首批卓越农林人才教育培养计划改革试点高校。

1999年经教育部批准，原吉林师范学院(1906年清政府创办，省立院校，中国第一批师范院校)、吉林医学院(1928年孙宗尧创办，省立院校)、吉林林学院(1952年吉林省创建，省立院校)、吉林电气化高等专科学校(1920年创建，中国冶金部直属院校)合并组建成北华大学。

学校有东、南、北三个校区，占地面积269万平方米(含实验实习基地)，建筑面积80万平方米。教学科研仪器设备总值2.87亿元，馆藏图书307.8万册。学校有各类全日制在校生25296人，成人教育在籍学生16814人。学校设有80个本科专业，16个硕士学位授权一级学科点，7个硕士学位授权二级学科点。

师资力量

学校现有教职工2584人，其中专任教师1648人，具有高级职称人员765人，具有博士学位人员370人;共享4名两院院士，153位校外高级专家作为兼职或客座教授，拥有“新世纪百千万人才工程”国家级人选1人，教育部“新世纪优秀人才支持计划”入选学者4人，教育部高等学校教学指导委员会委员6人;具有长白山学者、省高级专家、省拔尖创新人才、省有突出贡献的中青年专业技术人才等称号高层次人才93人。

教学建设

学校有2个国家级大学生校外实践教育基地—北华大学-吉林省蛟河林业实验区管理局农科教合作人才培养基地(农学)、北华大学-长春市经济技术开发区东方广场社区卫生服务中心临床技能综合培训中心(医学);1个省专业综合改革试点专业(电气工程与自动化);10个省高校实验教学示范中心(医学检验与测试基础实验教学中心、工程训练中心、机械工程实验教学中心、临床医学技能实验教学中心、基础医学实验教学中心、电气工程实验教学中心、森林植被与生态实验教学中心等);2个省大学生科技创新实践基地(机电集成技术大学生科技创新实践基地、自动化技术创新实践基地);国家级精品课1门(森林植物学)，省精品课程31门，省优秀课程60门;6个国家特色专业(临床医学、机械类、电气工程及其自动化、园林、医学检验、林学);13个省级“十二五”本科特色专业(临床医学、机械类、电气工程及其自动化、园林、医学检验、林学、英语、数学与应用数学、工商管理、药学、护理学、历史学、汉语言文学);省级优秀教学团队10个。

学科建设

学校有16个一级学科硕士学位授权点，7
个二级学科硕士学位授权点，涵盖了10个学科门类;8个专业硕士学位授权点，1个国家林业局重点学科;7个省重点学科。

对外交流

学校与美国、日本、韩国、俄罗斯、马来西亚、巴基斯坦、加拿大等19个国家和地区的61所院校或教育机构建立了合作与交流关系，是国家第二批来华留学示范基地，2014年被评为全国来华留学生教育先进集体。2006年8月教育部批准学校成为接受中国政府奖学金来华留学生院校。2007年学校与韩国江原大学共建孔子学院。经孔子学院总部批准，学校成为首批接收孔子学院奖学金院校。

据2015年10月学校官网显示，学校馆藏图书307.8万册，涵盖林、医、师、工、管、文等多学科，其中纸质图书204.2万册,电子图书103.6万余册;中外文期刊1999种，电子期刊7000种;馆藏古籍图书、港台文献、建国前精装报刊和地方文献等3万余册。各类专业数据库25个，其中自建数据库3个。

学术交流

学校聘请外籍专家、学者来校讲学200余人次，派出中青年骨干教师、科研与管理骨干赴美国、英国、澳大利亚、日本、俄罗斯、韩国、欧洲等国家和地区访学、科研合作、参加国际学术会议240余人次。

Brief introduction of Beihua University

Beihua University, referred to as Beihua, is located in Jilin City, Jilin Province, China. It is the largest comprehensive key university in Jilin Province. It is a pilot university of “excellent Doctor Education and training Program”. The first batch of national pilot universities for the reform of the education and training plan for talents in agriculture and forestry.

With the approval of the Ministry of Education in 1999, the former Jilin normal College (founded by the Qing government in 1906, provincial colleges and universities in China), Jilin Medical College (founded by Sun Zongyao in 1928, provincial colleges), Jilin College (founded in 1952, provincial colleges), Jilin electrification College (founded in 1920, colleges directly under the Ministry of Metallurgy of China) merged into Beihua University.

The school has three campuses of east, south and north, covering an area of 2.69 million square meters (including experimental practice base) and a construction area of 800000 square meters. The total value of teaching and scientific research instruments and equipment is 287 million yuan, with a collection of 3.078 million books. The school has 25296 full-time students and 16814 adult education students. The school has 80 undergraduate majors, 16 master’s degree authorized first-class discipline points and 7 master’s degree authorized second-level discipline points.

Teachers’ strength

The school now has 2584 faculty, including 1648 full-time teachers, 765 with senior professional titles and 370 with doctoral degrees, sharing 4 academicians of the two academies, 153 senior experts outside the university as part-time or visiting professors, 1 national candidate for the “New Century Talent Project”, 4 scholars selected by the Ministry of Education’s “New Century talents support Program”, and 6 members of the higher Education steering Committee of the Ministry of Education. Foreign exchange

The school has established cooperation and exchange relations with 61 universities or educational institutions in 19 countries and regions, including the United States, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Malaysia, Pakistan and Canada. It is the second batch of national demonstration bases for studying in China. In 2014, it was rated as the national advanced collective for the education of foreign students in China. In August 2006, the Ministry of Education approved the school as an institution for foreign students receiving scholarships from the Chinese government. In 2007, the school and Gangwon University in South Korea jointly built the Confucius Institute. Approved by the Confucius Institute headquarters, the school became the first batch of Confucius Institute scholarship institutions.

According to the school’s website in October 2015, the school has a collection of 3.078 million books, covering forestry, medicine, division, engineering, management, literature and other disciplines, including 2.042 million paper books, more than 1.036 million e-books, 1999 Chinese and foreign language periodicals and 7000 e-periodicals. More than 30, 000 books are collected, including ancient books, Hong Kong and Taiwan documents, hardcover newspapers and periodicals before the founding of the people’s Republic of China and local documents. There are 25 professional databases of all kinds, including 3 self-built databases.

Academic exchange

The school invited foreign experts and scholars to give lectures more than 200 times, sent young and middle-aged backbone teachers, scientific research and management backbone to the United States, Britain, Australia, Japan, Russia, South Korea, Europe and other countries and regions to visit, scientific research cooperation, to participate in international academic conferences more than 240 people.
