长沙学院简介

长沙学院是2004年5月经教育部批准，在长沙大学(专科)基础上改建升格的普通本科高等学校。学校实行省市共建共管、以长沙市为主管理的体制。

学校坐落在中部历史文化名城—湖南省长沙市，位于风光秀丽的浏阳河畔，校园湖光山色，风景秀美，为“湖南省园林式单位”。

学校占地约133万平方米，校舍建筑面积约31万平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值11423万元，图书馆藏书129.6万册，全日制在校生13079人。

学校现有15个教学系(院、部)，40个本科专业，基本形成了适应区域经济社会发展需要，以工学为主体，文学、管理学为两翼，理、工、文、管、法、艺多学科协调发展的学科专业布局。拥有教育部专业综合改革试点项目1个，教育部大学生校外实践教育基地1个，教育部特色专业建设点1个;省级特色专业3个，省级专业综合改革试点项目2个，省级实践教学示范中心2个，省级校企合作人才培养示范基地3个，省级基础课示范实验室1个，省级大学生创新训练中心2个，省级优秀实习教学基地10个，省级精品课程7门，省级教学团队2个。学校已形成拥有4个省级“十二五”重点建设学科、1个湖南省重点实验室、1个湖南省高校重点实验室、2个湖南省社会科学研究基地、3个湖南省高校科技创新团队、1个湖南省高校产学研合作示范基地、1个长沙市文化研究基地、3个校级科研创新公共平台、20个校级研究所的学科建设格局。

学校现有教职工935人，其中专任教师 715 人。专任教师中正高职称教师86人，副高职称教师243人，具有博士学位教师134人，硕士学位教师344人。有享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家4人，“新世纪百千万人才工程”国家级人选2人，教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划人选2人，湖南省新世纪“121人才工程”人选4人，湖南省青年社会科学研究人才百人工程培养对象1人，有突出贡献中青年专家1人，湖南省教学名师2人，湖南省优秀教师3人，省级青年教师教学能手8人，湖南省教学奉献奖2人。

学校始终坚持全面贯彻党的教育方针，牢固确立教学工作的中心地位，认真实施高等教育质量工程，积极推进教育创新和素质教育。2010年以来，学校教师获得省级以上教学成果奖8项，学生在各类学科竞赛和技能竞赛中获得省级以上奖项1047项，其中全国性一等奖27项，二等奖48项。2013年、2014年学校数学建模队连续两年获美国大学生数学建模竞赛一等奖。学校体育代表队参加大学生田径锦标赛，连续7届获全省学院组团体总分第一名，2013年获全国高校乙组团体总分第二名。2014年毕业生初次就业率达90.98%，居湖南省二本院校前列。

学校鼓励积极开展教学改革和科学研究，努力提高教学科研水平。2010年以来，学校教师主持和完成国家自科基金和社科基金项目36项，其中国家自科基金重点项目1项;承担省部级及其他纵向科研项目698项。学校获得各级各类纵向科研项目共计734项，纵向科研项目经费4198万元;获科研成果奖励83项，其中省级科学技术奖6项(包括省科技进步二等奖1项、省科技进步三等奖3项、省自然科学三等奖2项)，省哲学社会科学优秀成果奖2项;获得国家发明专利授权62项，实用新型专利授权81项。

学校积极开展开放办学。先后与美国加州浸会大学等28所国外大学和教育机构签订合作交流协议38份，实施学生互派等形式的合作教育。学校与湖南大学开展全面战略合作，与长沙经济技术开发区、长沙高新技术产业开发区、浏阳生物产业基地等国家级园区开展产学研战略合作，与三一重工、中联重科等企业开展专业共建，取得了较好的人才培养效果。

升本以来，学校先后获得“湖南省文明高等学校”、“湖南省党建工作先进高校”、“湖南省文明单位”称号。

Brief introduction of Changsha University

Changsha College is an ordinary undergraduate university which was rebuilt and upgraded on the basis of Changsha University (junior college) approved by the Ministry of Education in May 2004. The school implements the system of provincial and municipal co-construction and co-management, with Changsha as the main management system.

The school is located in the central historical and cultural city-Changsha City, Hunan Province, located in the beautiful Liuyang River, the campus lakes and mountains, beautiful scenery, for the “Hunan garden-style unit”.

The school covers an area of about 1.33 million square meters, the construction area of the school building is about 310000 square meters, the total value of teaching and scientific research equipment is 114.23 million yuan, the library collects 1.296 million books, and there are 13079 full-time students.

The school now has 15 teaching departments (colleges, departments) and 40 undergraduate majors, which basically meet the needs of regional economic and social development, with engineering as the main body, literature and management as the two wings, science, engineering, liberal arts, management, law, art and multi-disciplinary coordinated development. It has a pilot project for comprehensive professional reform of the Ministry of Education, a practical education base for college students outside the school of the Ministry of Education, and a special specialty construction site of the Ministry of Education. There are 3 provincial characteristic specialties, 2 provincial comprehensive reform pilot projects, 2 provincial practical teaching demonstration centers, 3 provincial school-enterprise cooperative talent training demonstration bases, 1 provincial basic course demonstration laboratory, 2 provincial college students’ innovative training centers, 10 provincial excellent practice teaching bases, 7 provincial quality courses and 2 provincial teaching teams. The school has formed a discipline construction pattern with four provincial “12th five-year Plan” key construction disciplines, one Hunan key laboratory, one Hunan university key laboratory, two Hunan social science research bases, three Hunan university science and technology innovation teams, one Hunan university industry-university-research cooperation demonstration base, one Changsha cultural research base, three school-level scientific research and innovation public platforms and 20 school-level research institutes.

The school has 935 faculty members, including 715 full-time teachers. Among the full-time teachers, there are 86 teachers with senior professional titles, 243 teachers with deputy senior professional titles, 134 doctoral teachers and 344 master’s degree teachers. There are 4 experts who enjoy the special allowance of the State Council, 2 national candidates for the “10 billion talents Project in the New Century”, 2 candidates for the New Century Talent support Program of the Ministry of Education, 4 candidates for the “121 talents Project” of Hunan Province in the New Century, 1 training object of 100 Young Social Science Research talents in Hunan Province, 1 young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions, 2 famous teachers in Hunan Province and 3 excellent teachers in Hunan Province. There are 8 provincial young teachers’ teaching experts and 2 Hunan teaching dedication awards.

The school has always adhered to the comprehensive implementation of the party’s educational policy, firmly established the central position of teaching work, conscientiously implemented the quality project of higher education, and actively promoted educational innovation and quality education. Since 2010, school teachers have won 8 teaching achievement awards above the provincial level, and students have won 1047 awards above the provincial level in various subject competitions and skill competitions, including 27 national first prize and 48 second prize. In 2013 and 2014, the school mathematical modeling team won the first prize in the mathematical modeling competition for American college students for two consecutive years. The school sports team participated in the College track and Field Championships and won the first place in the total score of the college group in the province for seven consecutive times and the second in the national college group B in 2013. In 2014, the first-time employment rate of graduates reached 90.98%, ranking first among ordinary universities in Hunan Province.

The school encourages active teaching reform and scientific research, and strives to improve the level of teaching and scientific research. Since 2010, school teachers have presided over and completed 36 projects of the National self-Science Fund and Social Science Fund, including 1 key project of the National self-Science Fund, and undertaken 698 provincial and ministerial-level and other vertical scientific research projects. The school has won a total of 734 vertical scientific research projects at all levels, with a funding of 41.98 million yuan for vertical scientific research projects, and 83 awards for scientific research achievements. among them, 6 provincial science and technology awards (including 1 provincial science and technology progress second prize, 3 provincial science and technology progress third prize, 2 provincial natural science third prize), 2 provincial philosophy and social sciences excellent achievement awards, 62 national invention patents and 81 utility model patents.

The school is actively open to the outside world. It has signed 38 cooperation and exchange agreements with 28 foreign universities and educational institutions, including California Baptist University, and implemented cooperative education in the form of student exchange. The school carries out comprehensive strategic cooperation with Hunan University, industry-university-research strategic cooperation with national parks such as Changsha Economic and technological Development Zone, Changsha High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Liuyang Biological Industry Base, and professional co-construction with Sany heavy Industry, Zoomlion heavy Science and other enterprises, and achieved good results in personnel training.

Since being upgraded to college, the school has successively won the titles of “Hunan civilized University”, “Hunan Advanced University for Party Building” and “Hunan civilized Unit”.
