云南艺术学院

云南艺术学院始建于1959年，是我国西南地区一所特色鲜明、艺术门类齐全的综合性高等艺术院校，是国务院学位委员会批准的硕士学位授予单位。学校位于云南省昆明市呈贡县新城吴家营乡雨花片区西南，昆玉高速公路东侧，南侧紧邻捞鱼河和关山，占地800亩，规划办学规模约为12800人。截至2014年9月，有本专科学生10210人，研究生在校生人数579人;有正式教职工694人，博士21人，硕士321人，其中具有副教授(及以上)职称的教师占专任教师的42%。

建院以来，云南艺术学院汇聚了一大批著名艺术家，为社会培养了大批各类艺术人才。同时也培养了一批包括傣、哈尼、纳西、傈僳、拉祜、佤、景颇、布朗、普米、阿昌、怒、基诺、德昂、独龙等云南独有少数民族的艺术人才。为云南文化艺术事业的繁荣和发展以及云南民族文化强省的建设作出了重要贡献。留法归来的油画家、雕塑家廖新学教授，小提琴家李丹教授，声乐家方于教授夫妇(《悲惨世界》译者)，知名国画家、雕塑家袁晓岑教授，云南画派代表人物丁绍光和蒋铁峰等专家学者先后在此执教。

云南艺术学院办学专业设置齐全，现有的34个本科专业涵盖了教育部颁布的《普通高等学校本科专业目录》艺术类的所有专业，涉及艺术学、文学、管理学和工学等学科门类。培养层次多样，具有全日制硕士研究生教育、艺术硕士专业学位(MFA)研究生教育、高校教师在职硕士研究生教育、全日制普通本专科教育、留学生教育、高等职业技术教育、函授教育、专升本教育等各类层次的、面向全国及世界各国招生的办学资格。

云南艺术学院在版画、油画、民族戏剧、音乐创作和表演、舞蹈编导和表演等学科专业创作和研究领域，有着广泛而独特的影响。现有10个教学单位：音乐学院、美术学院、艺术设计学院、戏剧学院、舞蹈学院、电影电视学院、艺术文化学院、继续教育与高等艺术职业教育学院、文华学院(独立学院、与企业合办)和附属艺术学校(中等职业专业学校);有艺术学理论、音乐与舞蹈学、戏剧与影视学、美术学、设计学、民族学6个一级学科硕士学位授予点;有音乐、戏剧、戏曲、电影、广播电视、舞蹈、美术、艺术设计8个艺术硕士专业学位授予权领域，以及工业设计领域工程硕士专业学位授予权;有美术学、戏剧与影视学2个博士学位授予权省级立项建设学科;有音乐与舞蹈学、艺术学理论2个省级优势特色重点学科。

Yunnan Art Institute, founded in 1959, is a comprehensive art college with distinctive features and complete art categories in southwest China, and it is a master’s degree awarding unit approved by the academic degree Committee of the State Council. The school is located in the southwest of Yuhua District, Wujiaying Township, Chenggong County, Kunming City, Yunnan Province, the east side of Kunyu Expressway and the south side of Laoyu River and Guanshan, covering an area of 800mu, with a planned school scale of about 12800 people. As of September 2014, there were 10210 junior college students and 579 graduate students, including 694 formal staff, 21 doctorates and 321 masters, of which 42 per cent of full-time teachers had the title of associate professor (or above).

Since its establishment, Yunnan Art Institute has gathered a large number of famous artists and trained a large number of artistic talents for the society. At the same time, it has also trained a group of artistic talents from unique ethnic minorities in Yunnan, including Dai, Hani, Naxi, Lisu, Lahu, WA, Jingpo, Brown, Pumi, Achang, Nu, Jinuo, Deang, Dulong and so on. It has made important contributions to the prosperity and development of Yunnan’s cultural and artistic undertakings and the construction of a strong province of Yunnan’s national culture. After returning from France, Professor Liao Xinxue, an oil painter and sculptor, Professor Li Dan, a violinist, Professor Fang Yu, a vocal musician (translator of Les Miserables), and Professor Yuan Xiaocen, a well-known traditional Chinese painter and sculptor, Ding Shaoguang and Jiang Tiefeng, representatives of Yunnan painting School, have taught here.

Yunnan Institute of Arts has a complete set of specialties, and the existing 34 undergraduate majors cover all the art majors in the catalogue of undergraduate majors in ordinary institutions of higher learning issued by the Ministry of Education, involving art, literature, management, engineering and other disciplines. There are various levels of training, such as full-time postgraduate education, MFA postgraduate education, in-service postgraduate education of university teachers, full-time general undergraduate education, foreign student education, higher vocational and technical education, correspondence education, junior college education and so on. Qualification to recruit students from all over the country and countries around the world.

Yunnan Academy of Arts has an extensive and unique influence on the professional creation and research fields of printmaking, oil painting, ethnic drama, music creation and performance, dance choreography and performance. At present, there are 10 teaching units: Conservatory of Music, Academy of Fine Arts, School of Art and Design, School of Drama, School of Dance, School of Film and Television, College of Art and Culture, College of continuing Education and higher Vocational Education of Arts, Mandarin College (independent college, co-organized with enterprises) and affiliated art schools (secondary vocational schools) There are six first-tier discipline master’s degrees in art theory, music and dance, drama and film and television, fine arts, design and ethnology; there are eight master of arts degrees in music, drama, opera, film, radio and television, dance, fine arts and art design, as well as the right to grant master of engineering degrees in industrial design There are two provincial-level construction disciplines with doctoral degrees in fine arts, drama and film and television, and two provincial-level key disciplines with advantages and characteristics, such as music and dance and art theory.
