五邑大学

五邑大学地处“中国第一侨乡”—广东省江门市，是珠江三角洲西岸唯一一所以工科为主的多科性教学型地方大学。学校1985年建校，1990年成为学士学位授予单位，1993年开始接收外国留学生，1996年通过本科教学合格评估，1998年成为硕士学位授予单位，2008年教育部本科教学工作水平评估获得优秀等级。

学校占地1000余亩，总建筑面积约60万平方米，设有17个教学院(系、部)，拥有工、理、经、管、文、法、艺术等7个学科门类，43个本科专业，6个一级学科硕士学位授权点，27个硕士点，2个硕士专业学位类别。现有4个国家特色专业建设点，3个省级重点学科，4个省级名牌专业，8个省级特色专业建设点，13个省级实验教学示范中心。拥有全国科教兴国示范基地，广东省侨乡文化研究基地，中华文化传承基地等。学校面向全国21个省、自治区、直辖市及港澳招收本科学生，面向国内外招收研究生。现有各类在籍学生24000余人，其中全日制本科生18000余人，研究生近300人。学校现有在职教职工900余人，其中专任教师700余人，具有高级职称的教师占专任教师47%，具有硕、博士学位的教师占专任教师82%。

Located in Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province, the first hometown of overseas Chinese in China, Wuyi University is the only engineering-oriented local university on the west bank of the Pearl River Delta. The school was founded in 1985 and became a bachelor’s degree awarding unit in 1990. It began to accept foreign students in 1993, passed the undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation in 1996, and became a master’s degree awarding unit in 1998. The school covers an area of more than 1000 mu, with a total construction area of about 600000 square meters, with 17 faculties (departments, departments). It has a national demonstration base for rejuvenating the country through science and education, a cultural research base for the hometown of overseas Chinese in Guangdong Province, and a base for inheriting Chinese culture. The school enrolls undergraduate students in 21 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, Hong Kong and Macao, and postgraduates at home and abroad. At present, there are more than 24000 students, including more than 18000 full-time undergraduates and nearly 300 postgraduates. The school now has more than 900 in-service staff, including more than 700 full-time teachers. Teachers with senior titles account for 47% of full-time teachers, and teachers with master’s and doctoral degrees account for 82% of full-time teachers.
