中国民航大学是中国民用航空局直属的一所以培养高级工程技术和管理人才为主的普通高等学校。学校的前身是1951年9月成立的军委民航局第二民用航空学校。1958年12月更名为中国民用航空高级航空学校,1963年6月列入普通高校序列,更名为中国民用航空机械专科学校。1981年8月10日,更名为中国民用航空学院。2006年5月30日,更名为中国民航大学。2011年9月,学校举办60周年校庆,时任副总理张德江来校视察,并提出把我校建设成为一所享有国际声誉的世界著名的民航类高等学府的奋斗目标。

学校在注重发挥传统优势学科的同时,根据民航及社会发展的需要,不断完善学科专业结构,逐步形成了以工为主,理工结合,管理学、经济学和法学等学科综合发展的学科布局,并在国内和民航领域形成了一批有较大影响的优势学科。学校现有现有13个硕士一级学科,49个硕士二级学科,另有自设二级学科2个,分别是航空运输大数据工程与航空器适航审定工程,其中航空宇航推进理论与工程、交通运输规划与管理、通信与信息系统、企业管理等4个学科为省部级重点学科;另有工程硕士、工商管理硕士(MBA)、法律硕士和翻译硕士4个专业学位类型,其中工程硕士专业学位授权领域7个。学校现有27个本科专业,其中飞行器动力工程、交通运输、飞行技术等3个专业为国家级特色专业点,飞行器动力工程、交通运输、飞行技术、电气工程及其自动化、电子信息工程、飞行器制造工程、通信工程、计算机科学与技术和工商管理等9个本科专业为天津市品牌专业。

学校坚持人才强校战略,涌现出一大批在民航业、天津市乃至国内外知名的专家、学者。学校现有专任教师1217人,其中高级职称教师400余人,博士生导师10人,国家杰出青年基金获得者1人,民航特聘专家4人,民航中青年技术带头人11人,天津市教学名师7人。

建校以来,学校为民航和社会培养了8万余名各类毕业生,毕业生遍及民航各生产岗位及技术领域。全国民航七分之一的员工、三分之一的工程技术和管理人才来自学校,一大批毕业生成为民航工程技术和管理的中坚骨干,许多人成为业界精英。学校以培养民航高级工程技术和管理人才为主,现有各类在校学生24000余人。

学校现有省部级科研基地(重点实验室)14个。包括中国民航航空地面特种设备研究基地、中国民航空中交通管理研究基地、中国民航航空运输经济与管理科学研究基地、中国民航机务维修工程研究基地、中国民航信息技术科研基地、中国民航机场工程研究基地、适航审定技术与管理研究中心、天津市智能信号与图像处理重点实验室、天津市民用航空器适航与维修重点实验室、天津市空管运行规划与安全技术重点实验室、天津市飞机维修与民航地面特种设备技术工程中心、天津市航空法律与政策研究基地、国家空管运行安全技术重点实验室、民航空管研究院。拥有中国民航局航空安全办公室与学校共同建设的民航安全科学研究所。

学校注重发挥民航学科专业门类齐全的综合优势,致力于科研团队和科研平台建设,针对航空运输科技发展的前沿和航空运输安全保障的重大科技问题,不断为社会贡献高水平的科研成果。近年来,学校承担了包括国家高技术研究计划863计划(重大、重点项目)、国家重点基础研究发展计划973计划、国家自然科学基金(杰出青年基金重点、面上项目)、国家软科学等多项国家级科研项目;科技成果获国家科技进步二等奖2项、省部级科技成果奖96项。学校航大科技是国家级科技企业孵化器,国家级“苗圃-孵化器-加速器”科技创业孵化链条示范单位,致力于民航高新技术企业的孵化、高新技术及管理人才的培养和高新技术成果的转化,教学研究型大学的“产、学、研”一体化机制正在形成。

学校发起成立了中国航空运输协会、中国航空维修协会、通用航空协会等组织,在民航专业协会组织建设中发挥着越来越重要的作用。

2012年10月,学校召开了中国民航大学第一次党代会,确立学校建设发展的总体目标是:到2020年,全面提升人才培养质量、科学研究水平、社会服务能力、文化传承力度以及国际化程度,综合实力显著增强,办学特色更加鲜明,在更高水平上为中国民航发展发挥支撑和引领作用,把学校建设成为高水平、国际化、教学研究型民用航空大学;再通过5-10年的发展建设,将我校建设成为享有国际声誉的世界著名的民航高等学府。

Civil Aviation University of China is an ordinary university directly under the Civil Aviation Administration of China, which focuses on training senior engineering and management talents. The predecessor of the school is the second Civil Aviation School of the Central military Commission and Civil Aviation Administration, which was established in September 1951. In December 1958, it changed its name to China Civil Aviation Advanced Aviation School, and in June 1963, it was included in the sequence of ordinary colleges and universities, and its name was changed to China Civil Aviation Machinery College. On August 10, 1981, it changed its name to China Civil Aviation Institute. On May 30, 2006, it changed its name to Civil Aviation University of China. In September 2011, when the school celebrated its 60th anniversary, the then Vice Premier Zhang Dejiang visited the school and put forward the goal of building our school into a world-famous civil aviation university with international reputation.

While paying attention to giving full play to the traditional advantageous disciplines, the school has constantly improved the discipline structure according to the needs of civil aviation and social development, and has gradually formed a discipline layout with the comprehensive development of engineering, the combination of science and technology, management, economics and law, and has formed a number of dominant disciplines with great influence in the domestic and civil aviation fields. At present, the school has 13 master’s first-level disciplines, 49 master’s second-level disciplines, and two other second-level disciplines, which are air transport big data engineering and aircraft airworthiness certification engineering. Nine undergraduate majors, including aircraft power engineering, transportation, flight technology, electrical engineering and automation, electronic information engineering, aircraft manufacturing engineering, communication engineering, computer science and technology and business management, are Tianjin brand majors.

The school adheres to the strategy of strengthening the school with talents, and a large number of well-known experts and scholars have emerged in the civil aviation industry, Tianjin and even at home and abroad. The school now has 1217 full-time teachers, including more than 400 senior teachers, 10 doctoral supervisors, 1 winner of the National Outstanding Youth Fund, 4 specially appointed experts in civil aviation, 11 young and middle-aged technical leaders in civil aviation and 7 famous teachers in Tianjin.

Since its establishment, the school has trained more than 80,000 graduates of all kinds for civil aviation and society, graduates in various production positions and technical fields of civil aviation. 1/7 of the civil aviation staff and 1/3 of the engineering and management talents come from schools. A large number of graduates have become the backbone of civil aviation engineering technology and management, and many of them have become elites in the industry. The school mainly trains civil aviation senior engineering technology and management talents, and has more than 24000 students of all kinds.

The school has 14 provincial and ministerial scientific research bases (key laboratories). Including CAAC ground special equipment research base, CAAC air traffic management research base, CAAC air transport economy and management science research base, CAAC aircraft maintenance engineering research base, CAAC information technology research base, CAAC airport engineering research base, airworthiness certification technology and management research center, Tianjin Intelligent signal and Image processing key Laboratory, Tianjin key laboratory of airworthiness and maintenance of civil aircraft, Tianjin key laboratory of air traffic control operation planning and safety technology, Tianjin aircraft maintenance and civil aviation ground special equipment technical engineering center, Tianjin aviation law and policy research base, national air traffic control operation safety technology key laboratory, civil aviation air traffic control research institute. It has the Civil Aviation Safety Science Research Institute jointly built by the Aviation Safety Office of the Civil Aviation Administration of China and the school.

The school pays attention to give full play to the comprehensive advantages of a full range of civil aviation disciplines, devotes itself to the construction of scientific research team and scientific research platform, aiming at the forefront of the development of air transport science and technology and the major scientific and technological issues of air transport security, continue to contribute high-level scientific research achievements to the society.
