西安外事学院

西安外事学院创建于1992年，以本科教育为主体，并同海内外知名大学联办研究生教育。学校引进哈佛、耶鲁、麻省理工等全球名校的上万门精品课程，与国外40余所大学实现学分互认，就业、创业尤其突出，发展模式被哈佛大学列入教学案例。

学校位于西安市高新技术产业开发区鱼化寨，校园占地面积1264206㎡、建筑面积661316.83㎡，分南、北、西三个教学区;现有教学科研仪器设备总值8122.51万元;图书馆藏书209.76万册(种)，其中纸质图书160.23万册;有教授、副教授342人、具有博士或硕士学位的教师654人;设有商学院、文学院、医学院、工学院、影视艺术学院、国际合作学院、创业学院、七方书院、继续教育学院以及思想政治理论教学科研部、体育教育中心、现代教育技术中心;开设本科专业32个、高职专业30个，涉及经济学、管理学、文学、医学、工学、艺术学、农学7个学科门类;有普通本科在校生14000余人、高职在校生8000余人。

学校设有董事会、党委、院务会、教代会、工会等组织机构，实行董事会领导下的院长负责制。董事长黄藤为教育学博士，十届、十一届全国人大代表，陕西中华职业教育社主任，陕西省政协常委。曾获“全国优秀中国特色社会主义事业建设者”、“黄炎培杰出校长奖”、“陕西省优秀教育工作者”、“陕西省十大杰出青年”、“陕西省新长征突击手” 等荣誉。2012年底，黄藤与北大、复旦、南方科大等高校校长同获“中国好校长”殊荣。

23年来，学校从办学之初依靠租赁校舍、开展非学历教育，发展到如今办学投入、校舍面积、师资数量、办学规模在陕西省乃至全国民办高校中具有明显优势，经历了极其艰苦的创业历程。在这一历程中，学校始终坚持社会主义办学方向，坚持非营利不求回报，坚持依法治校、民主办学、规范管理，解决了16万余名青年学生的入学和就业，办学质量得到了社会各界的广泛认可：先后被陕西省教育厅授予陕西省文明校园、平安校园、十大和谐校园、依法治校示范校、校园文化示范点。2008年、2013年，学校连续两届被陕西省教育厅评为“陕西省高等学校毕业生就业工作先进集体”。

2009年，学校发展模式入选美国哈佛大学商学院教学案例。2012年，作为高教行业首度入选单位荣登第四届CCTV中国品牌榜。2013年，荣获新华社“中国创造力管理思想”大奖，并代表中国形象登上美国纽约时代广场荣耀展示，彰显了中国民办教育高端品牌的实力与风采。

Xi’an Foreign Affairs College was founded in 1992, with undergraduate education as the main body, and co-organized graduate education with well-known universities at home and abroad. The school introduces tens of thousands of high-quality courses from Harvard, Yale, MIT and other world-famous universities, and realizes mutual recognition of credits with more than 40 foreign universities, especially employment and entrepreneurship. The development model has been listed as a teaching case by Harvard University.

The school is located in Yuhua Village, Xi’an High-tech Industrial Development Zone. The campus covers an area of 1264206 square meters and a construction area of 661316.83 square meters. It is divided into three teaching areas: the south, the north and the west. The total value of the existing teaching and research instruments and equipment is 81.2251 million yuan; the library has a collection of 2.0976 million books, including 1.6023 million paper books; there are 342 professors and associate professors and 654 teachers with doctoral or master’s degrees. There are business schools, liberal arts colleges, medical schools, engineering colleges, film and television art schools, international cooperation schools, entrepreneurship colleges, Qifang academy, continuing education college, as well as ideological and political theory teaching and research department, physical education center, modern education technology center; 32 undergraduate majors and 30 higher vocational majors are offered, including economics, management, literature, medicine, engineering, art and agronomy There are more than 14000 ordinary undergraduate students and more than 8000 higher vocational students.

The school has a board of directors, party committees, council, teachers’ Congress, trade unions and other organizations, the implementation of the dean responsibility system under the leadership of the board of directors. Chairman Huang Teng is a doctor of education, deputy to the 10th and 11th National people’s Congress, director of Shaanxi China Vocational Education Society, and member of the standing Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese people’s political Consultative Conference. He has won honors such as “National excellent Builder of Socialism with Chinese characteristics”, “Huang Yanpei Outstanding Principal Award”, “Shaanxi Province Outstanding educator”, “Top Ten Outstanding Youth of Shaanxi Province”, “Shaanxi New long March Raider” and so on. At the end of 2012, Huang Teng was honored as the “good President of China” along with the presidents of Peking University, Fudan University and Southern University of Science and Technology.

Over the past 23 years, from renting school premises and carrying out non-academic education at the beginning of running a school, the school has developed to now that the investment in running a school, the area of school buildings, the number of teachers and the scale of running a school have obvious advantages in Shaanxi Province and even in private colleges and universities all over the country. has experienced an extremely arduous process of entrepreneurship. In this process, the school has always adhered to the socialist direction of running a school, insisted on non-profit and no return, persisted in running the school according to law, democratically running a school, and standardized management, and solved the enrollment and employment of more than 160000 young students. the quality of running a school has been widely recognized by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education: it has been awarded Shaanxi civilized campus, safe campus, ten harmonious campuses, model schools according to law, and campus culture demonstration sites. In 2008 and 2013, the school was awarded as “Advanced Collective for Employment of graduates of Colleges and Universities in Shaanxi Province” by Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education for two consecutive years.

In 2009, the school development model was selected into the teaching case of Harvard Business School. In 2012, as a higher education industry selected for the first time, it was ranked on the fourth CCTV China Brand list.
