菏泽学院是山东省菏泽市唯一的全日制普通本科高校。学校前身是始建于1949年初的冀鲁豫区第二师范学校。1949年8月,定名为平原省立菏泽师范学校。1952年12月,更名为山东省菏泽第一师范学校。1958年8月,经山东省人民委员会批准,改建为菏泽师范专科学校。2002年1月,经山东省人民政府批准,原菏泽师专、菏泽教育学院、菏泽电大、菏泽师范、菏泽农校五校合并,筹建菏泽学院。2004年5月,教育部正式批准菏泽学院为普通本科高校。2012年收归省教育厅主管,顺利通过了教育部本科教学工作合格评估。建校60多年来,共向国家输送了13万余名合格毕业生,为促进地方经济社会发展做出了应有的贡献。

菏泽学院成立以来,在上级党委、政府和教育主管部门的坚强领导下,全校师生秉持“修德、笃学、求是、创新”的校训,开拓创新,拼搏进取,学校各项事业健康快速发展。学校现有4个校区,占地面积1519.4亩,建筑面积59.8万余平方米,教学科研仪器设备总值1.06亿元,馆藏纸质图书176万余册、期刊2200余种,拥有电子图书148万余种、全文电子文献数据库7个、自建数据库4个。现有本科专业54个,涉及文学、历史学、经济学、法学、理学、工学、农学、教育学、管理学、艺术学10大学科门类。面向25个省、自治区招生,全日制在校生23072人,继续教育在读生6200人。省级重点学科2个,省级重点实验室1个,省级人文社科研究基地1个,省级非物质文化遗产研究基地1个,省级人才培养模式创新实验区1个,省级实验教学示范中心1个,省级特色专业6个,省级卓工计划专业2个,省级专业综合改革试点项目1个,省级精品课程22门,省级双语教学示范课程1门。现有教职工1605人,专任教师1123人,具有硕士、博士学位的780人,具有高级职称的471人。教师中有全国优秀科技工作者1人、享受国务院政府特殊津贴的专家3人、山东省有突出贡献的中青年专家3人、山东省高校重点学科首席专家2人、省级教学名师10人、省级优秀教学团队3个。

为适应高等教育发展的需要,建院升本之初,学校以科学发展观为指导,在深入调查研究的基础上,制订了“353”三步走的发展战略:第一步,2005-2007年,基本完成学科专业、培养模式、管理体制的结构性调整,逐步扩大本科办学规模。第二步,2008-2012年,全方位提高办学水平,基本实现专业教育本科化,完成二期工程首批建设任务,顺利通过教育部本科教学工作水平评估。第三步,2013-2015年,在稳定办学规模的前提下,突出内涵发展,全力提高办学质量。

2012年3月,学校第二次党代会胜利召开,明确了今后五年学校事业发展的主要目标是:办学规模方面,全日制在校生达到2.2万人,成人教育、远程教育、职业技术教育在籍生达到1.3万人;办学条件方面,建筑面积达到58万平方米,教学科研仪器设备总值达到1.3亿元,馆藏纸质图书200万册;学科专业方面,本科专业达到58个,建成省级品牌专业3个,省级重点学科5个,省级重点实验室或人文社科基地4个,成为专业硕士学位授予权单位;人才队伍方面,专任教师达到1000人以上,其中具有硕士学位以上的教师超过70%。同时,通过鼓励科研创新,提升社会服务能力,扩大开放办学,创新人才培养模式,争创山东省应用型人才培养的特色名校,努力建设基础扎实、特色鲜明、应用型人才培养成绩突出的优秀地方综合性本科大学。

根据学校发展目标,经过几代学院人的不懈努力,学校初步实现了规模、质量、结构、效益协调发展,多项工作取得了突出成绩,先后获得省级文明单位、省级花园式单位、山东省高校教学管理先进单位、山东省教师教育工作先进单位、山东省高校思想政治工作创新奖、山东省师德建设先进集体、山东省高校校园文明建设先进单位、山东省高校平安校园、山东省高校绿化管理先进单位等多项荣誉和奖励。

Heze College is the only full-time undergraduate university in Heze City, Shandong Province. The predecessor of the school is the second normal School in Hebei-Shandong-Henan District, which was founded in early 1949. In August 1949, it was named Heze normal School of Plain Province. In December 1952, it changed its name to the first normal School of Heze, Shandong Province. In August 1958, it was rebuilt into Heze normal College with the approval of the people’s Committee of Shandong Province. In January 2002, with the approval of the people’s Government of Shandong Province, the former Heze Teachers College, Heze Institute of Education, Heze Radio and TV University, Heze normal University and Heze Agricultural School were merged to prepare for the establishment of Heze College. In May 2004, the Ministry of Education formally approved Heze College as an ordinary undergraduate university. In 2012, it was returned to the director of the Provincial Department of Education and successfully passed the qualification assessment of undergraduate teaching work of the Ministry of Education. Since its establishment more than 60 years ago, the school has sent more than 130000 qualified graduates to the country, making due contributions to promoting local economic and social development.

Since the establishment of Heze College, under the strong leadership of the higher party committee, the government and the education department, the teachers and students of the school have adhered to the motto of “moral cultivation, diligence, truth-seeking and innovation”, pioneering and innovative, striving for progress, and the healthy and rapid development of various undertakings of the school. The school has four campuses, covering an area of 1519.4 mu, with a construction area of more than 598000 square meters, a total value of 106 million yuan for teaching and research instruments and equipment, and a collection of more than 1.76 million paper books and more than 2200 kinds of periodicals. it has more than 1.48 million kinds of e-books, 7 full-text electronic literature databases and 4 self-built databases. At present, there are 54 undergraduate majors, including literature, history, economics, law, science, engineering, agronomy, pedagogy, management and art. Enrollment is open to 25 provinces and autonomous regions, with 23072 full-time students and 6200 students in continuing education. There are 2 provincial key disciplines, 1 provincial key laboratory, 1 provincial humanities and social science research base, 1 provincial intangible cultural heritage research base, 1 provincial talent training mode innovation experimental area, 1 provincial experimental teaching demonstration center, 6 provincial characteristic majors, 2 provincial outstanding engineering plan majors, 1 provincial professional comprehensive reform pilot project, and 22 provincial high-quality courses. One provincial bilingual teaching demonstration course. At present, there are 1605 teaching staff, 1123 full-time teachers, 780 with master’s and doctor’s degrees and 471 with senior professional titles. Among the teachers, there are 1 national outstanding scientific and technological worker, 3 experts who enjoy the special subsidy of the State Council, 3 young and middle-aged experts who have made outstanding contributions in Shandong Province, 2 chief experts in key disciplines of colleges and universities in Shandong Province, 10 famous provincial teachers, and 3 excellent teaching teams at the provincial level.

In order to meet the needs of the development of higher education, at the beginning of the establishment of the college, under the guidance of the scientific concept of development, and on the basis of in-depth investigation and research, the school formulated a three-step development strategy: the first step, from 2005 to 2007, basically completed the structural adjustment of discipline, training mode and management system, and gradually expanded the scale of undergraduate education. The second step, from 2008 to 2012, improve the level of running a school in an all-round way, basically realize the undergraduate education, complete the first construction tasks of the second phase of the project, and successfully pass the undergraduate teaching level evaluation of the Ministry of Education. The third step, from 2013 to 2015, under the premise of stabilizing the scale of running a school, highlight the development of connotation and make every effort to improve the quality of running a school.

In March 2012, the second Party Congress of the school was successfully held, which made it clear that the main goals for the development of the school cause in the next five years are: in terms of school scale, the number of full-time students will reach 22000, and the number of adult education, distance education and vocational and technical education will reach 13000. In terms of school-running conditions, the construction area has reached 580000 square meters, the total value of teaching and scientific research instruments and equipment has reached 130 million yuan, and the library has a collection of 2 million paper books; in terms of disciplines and specialties, there are 58 undergraduate majors, 3 provincial brand majors, 5 provincial key disciplines and 4 provincial key laboratories or humanities and social science bases, which have become the authorized units for granting professional master’s degrees. In terms of talent team, there are more than 1000 full-time teachers, of whom more than 70% have master’s degrees or above. At the same time, by encouraging scientific research and innovation, improving the ability of social service, expanding the opening of running a school, innovating the talent training mode, and striving to create a famous school with characteristics for the training of applied talents in Shandong Province, efforts should be made to build excellent local comprehensive undergraduate universities with a solid foundation, distinctive characteristics and outstanding achievements in the training of applied talents.

According to the development goal of the school, through the unremitting efforts of several generations of academics, the school has initially realized the coordinated development of scale, quality, structure and benefit, and made outstanding achievements in many aspects of work.
