湖北第二师范学院

湖北第二师范学院位于九省通衢的湖北省武汉市，是一所以教师教育为主要特色，教育学、文学、理学等学科为主要支撑的省属普通本科院校，是湖北省教师教育的重要基地之一。学校前身是1931年创立的湖北省立教育学院。2003年4月，湖北省工业学校整体并入。2003年9月，学校迁至东湖新技术开发区——武汉中国光谷园区内。2007年，经全国高等学校设置评议委员会专家评审、教育部审批，学校改制更名为湖北第二师范学院。2009年1月，湖北省经济管理干部学院与学校合并。2012年学校顺利通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估。建校80多年来，学校培养了近15万名优秀毕业生，为基础教育和经济社会发展做出了突出贡献。

学校地处中国光谷核心区，山清水秀，交通便利。校园面积1718亩，建筑面积43.4万平方米，纸质图书资料105万册。学校设17个二级学院，开办47个普通本科专业，全日制在校生1.6万余人。另外，湖北省中小学教师继续教育中心、湖北省普通教育干部培训中心、湖北省教师资格认定中心等省级教师培训、研究和管理机构设在学校，在服务、引领全省基础教育改革与发展中发挥着重要作用。

学校现有专任教师721人，其中副高以上职称277人，享受国务院津贴、省政府津贴以及荣获全国优秀教师等荣誉称号12人，38人被武汉大学、华中科技大学等高校聘为博、硕士生导师。外聘教授38人，其中中科院院士2人、“千人计划”1人、“楚天学者”5人、“彩虹学者”6人。学校高度重视科学研究，采取项目经费配套、定期评选并奖励十大科研成果等措施，鼓励教师开展科研工作。近年来，学校取得4122项科研成果，其中被SCI收录论文87篇、EI收录论文171篇，在核心期刊上发表论文812篇，出版学术专著、编(译)著、教材290部。获得国家自科基金项目12项，国家社科基金项目2项，教育部、文化部等科研项目14项，获省政府智力成果采购项目、省科技厅支撑计划项目、省自科基金、社科基金项目等省厅级项目共320项。获省科技进步奖3项、省社科奖2项，专利授权8项。

学校先后建成教师素质训练中心、英语语言学习示范中心等省级实验教学示范中心，湖北省虚拟仿真实验教学示范中心、湖北文化产业经济研究中心、湖北教师教育研究中心、湖北省方言文化研究中心、植物抗癌活性物质提纯与应用湖北省重点实验室、基础教育信息技术服务湖北省协同创新中心等8个省级教学科研平台。举办了行知实验班、双学位班、复合型人才实验班、创新人才实验班等教学改革实验班。教育学、应用经济学、计算机科学与技术等先后获批省级重点学科。学校现有1个国家级专业综合改革试点项目，2个省级专业综合改革改革试点，3个湖北省高等学校战略性新兴(支柱)产业人才培养计划项目;1门国家级精品资源共享课程，7门省级精品课程和省级精品视频公开课。

学校广泛开展国际交流与合作，与美国、英国、法国、澳大利亚、新西兰等国家20多所高校及科研机构建立合作关系，形成专科、本科和硕博培养的国际合作办学格局，并每年选派大学生赴国外参加社会实践项目或短期实习。学校是省教育厅指定的汉语教师海外志愿者派出高校，是国家汉办的优质生源学校，每年选送优秀学生到海外开展对外汉语教学活动。

Hubei second normal University is located in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, which is the thoroughfare of nine provinces. It is a provincial ordinary undergraduate college with teacher education as its main feature, pedagogy, literature, science and other disciplines as its main support. It is one of the important bases of teacher education in Hubei Province. The predecessor of the school is Hubei Provincial Institute of Education, which was founded in 1931. In April 2003, Hubei Polytechnic School was incorporated as a whole. In September 2003, the school moved to the East Lake New Technology Development Zone-Wuhan China Optical Valley Park. In 2007, after the expert evaluation of the national evaluation committee of colleges and universities and the examination and approval of the Ministry of Education, the school changed its name to Hubei second normal University. In January 2009, Hubei Economic Management cadre College was merged with the school. In 2012, the school successfully passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education. Since its establishment more than 80 years ago, the school has trained nearly 150000 outstanding graduates and made outstanding contributions to basic education and economic and social development.

The school is located in the core area of Optical Valley of China, with beautiful scenery and convenient transportation. The campus covers an area of 1718 mu, with a construction area of 434000 square meters and 1.05 million paper books. The school has 17 secondary colleges, 47 general undergraduate majors and more than 16000 full-time students. In addition, provincial teacher training, research and management institutions such as Hubei Provincial continuing Education Center for Primary and Middle School Teachers, Hubei General Education cadre training Center and Hubei teacher qualification Accreditation Center are located in schools. it plays an important role in serving and leading the reform and development of basic education in the province.

The school now has 721 full-time teachers, including 277 associate high and above titles. 12 people enjoy the State Council subsidy, provincial government subsidy and won the honorary titles of national excellent teachers, and 38 have been employed as doctoral and master’s degree supervisors by Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology and other universities. There are 38 external professors, including 2 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 1 Thousand talents Plan, 5 Chutian Scholars and 6 Rainbow Scholars. The school attaches great importance to scientific research and adopts measures such as matching project funds and regularly selecting and rewarding the top ten scientific research achievements to encourage teachers to carry out scientific research work. In recent years, the school has achieved 4122 scientific research achievements, including 87 papers in SCI and 171papers in EI, 812 papers published in core journals, and 290 academic monographs, edited (translated) works and teaching materials. It has obtained 12 national self-science fund projects, 2 national social science fund projects, 14 scientific research projects such as the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture, and 320 provincial-level projects such as the procurement of intellectual achievements by the provincial government, the support plan of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the provincial self-science fund and the social science fund. It has won 3 provincial science and technology progress awards, 2 provincial social science awards and 8 patents.

The school has successively built provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers such as teachers’ quality training center and English language learning demonstration center. Hubei Virtual Simulation experiment Teaching demonstration Center, Hubei Cultural Industry Economic Research Center, Hubei teacher Education Research Center, Hubei dialect Culture Research Center, Hubei key Laboratory for purification and Application of Plant Anticancer active substances, basic Education Information Technology Service Hubei Collaborative Innovation Center and other 8 provincial teaching and research platforms. Teaching reform experimental classes have been held, such as Xingzhi experimental class, double-degree class, compound talents experimental class, innovative talents experimental class and so on. Pedagogy, applied economics, computer science and technology have been approved provincial key disciplines. The school now has one national comprehensive reform pilot project, two provincial comprehensive reform pilot projects, three strategic emerging (pillar) industry talent training programs for colleges and universities in Hubei Province, and one national high-quality resource sharing course. 7 provincial quality courses and provincial quality video open courses.

The school has extensively carried out international exchanges and cooperation, and has established cooperative relations with more than 20 universities and scientific research institutions in the United States, Britain, France, Australia, New Zealand and other countries, forming a pattern of international cooperation in college, undergraduate and master’s degree training. Every year, college students are sent abroad to participate in social practice projects or short-term internships. The school is an overseas volunteer university for Chinese teachers designated by the provincial education department. it is a high-quality school run by the state, and it sends outstanding students overseas to carry out activities of teaching Chinese as a foreign language every year.
