青岛农业大学的简介

一、历史沿革与现状

青岛农业大学的前身是莱阳农学院,始建于1951年,2001年经山东省政府批准创建青岛校区,2007年3月经教育部批准更名为“青岛农业大学”,办学地址由莱阳市变更为青岛市城阳区。

建校以来,学校已为社会培养全日制毕业生80000余名,中共中央政治局委员孙政才、玉米育种专家李登海是校友中的杰出代表。学校在长期的办学历程中,形成了“矢志三农、勤奋求实,自强不息、追求卓越,培养高素质应用型人才”的鲜明办学特色。学校在1997年原国家教委组织的本科教学工作合格评估和2007年教育部组织的本科教学工作水平评估中均获得优秀。2012年学校被评为首批“山东省应用型人才培养特色名校”。

目前,学校已经发展成为一所农、工、理、经、管、法、文、艺等学科协调发展的多科性大学。设有农学与植物保护学院、资源与环境学院、园艺学院、园林与林学院、动物科技学院、海洋科学与工程学院、机电工程学院、建筑工程学院、生命科学学院、食品科学与工程学院、经济与管理学院、人文社会科学学院、理学与信息科学学院(软件与服务外包学院)、动漫与传媒学院、艺术学院、外国语学院、化学与药学院、合作社学院、继续教育学院、国际教育交流学院和海都学院(独立学院)、体育教学部。举办77个本科专业,拥有13个硕士学位授权一级学科,4个硕士专业学位授权点,78个二级学科硕士点。现有全日制本专科在校生和研究生28000余人。

学校建有青岛、莱阳两个校区和胶州现代农业科技示范园,占地3616亩,校舍建筑面积79万多平方米。仪器设备总值达2.89亿元。图书馆纸质藏书217.96万册,电子图书248.63万种。

学校现有专任教师1493人,其中具有高级职称的619人,博士523人,硕士792人。有享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家17人,“泰山学者”特聘教授(专家)9人,入选教育部“新世纪优秀人才支持计划”1人,科技部“中青年科技创新领军人才”1人,教育部教学指导委员会专家6人,全国优秀教师6人,山东省有突出贡献中青年专家17人,山东省教学名师11人,博士生导师24人,山东省重点学科(实验室)首席专家5人,国家现代农业产业技术体系岗位科学家7人,国家牧草产业技术体系综合试验站站长1人,山东省现代农业产业技术体系创新团队首席专家5人、岗位专家40人、综合试验站站长5人,有7个省级优秀教学团队和1个山东省高校优秀科研创新团队。学校拥有动漫产业核心技术国家地方联合工程研究中心、新农村发展研究院两个国家级研发推广平台,参与建设了国家小麦玉米工程实验室,牵头和参与建设了5个省级协同创新中心,拥有8个山东省重点学科,2个山东省重点实验室,7个山东省工程(技术)研究中心,4个山东省高校重点实验室,1个山东省高校人文社会科学研究基地,3个山东省国际(港澳台)科技合作平台,3个省级实验教学示范中心,3个青岛市重点学科,3个青岛市重点实验室,6个青岛市工程(技术)研究中心,5个青岛市国际科技合作基地,42个研究所。设有农业部现代农业技术培训基地、农业部农民专业合作社人才培养实训基地,全国科技特派员创业培训基地、国家动漫创意产业基地人才培养与研发中心、中国农村发展研究院、中国农产品流通与经纪研究院暨青岛培训中心、中国鸵鸟疫病防制中心、青岛市农机化高级人才培训基地等研发培训机构和康奈尔大学BTI——青岛农业大学无脊椎动物细胞培养和细胞工程中心、国际合作经济发展研究中心、中韩食品生物技术研究所、中英食品研究所等中外合作研究机构。

二、教学工作

学校以本科教育为主,积极发展研究生教育,适度发展继续教育,着力培养价值追求高尚、专业精神执著、作风严谨朴实、创新创业精神突出、实践能力与社会责任感强的复合型、应用型高素质专门人才;面向“三农”培养立志于推进我国农业现代化,具有现代农业科技的基础知识、基本技能,积极推广现代农业技术,“下得去、留得住、用得上、干得好”的农业科技工作者。建设了完备的实验教学和校内实训体系,通过产学研结合建设了200多个稳固的校外实践教学基地。目前学校有2个专业分别获批教育部本科专业综合改革试点和卓越农林人才培养计划改革试点,3个国家级大学生校外实践教育基地,4个国家级特色专业,2个省级人才培养模式创新实验区,
19个省级品牌、特色及试点专业,49门省级立项建设课程。“十二五”以来,获得山东省优秀教学成果奖11项。学校重视大学生创新创业教育,狠抓学风建设,形成了优良的校风。“十二五”以来,设立大学生创新训练项目1004项,其中国家级项目165项;创业训练项目144项,其中国家级项目25项;在各类科技创新竞赛中获得国家和国际级奖励224项、省级奖励326项。毕业生受到社会用人单位广泛欢迎,总体就业率一直保持在90%以上。

三、科学研究

学校高度重视科研工作,科技创新能力不断增强。“十二五”以来,共承担各级各类科研课题1553项,其中国家级课题257项,省部级课题468项,年度科研经费连续4年突破1亿元。“十二五”以来,审定植物新品种和获得授权发明专利193项,获得各类科研奖励265项,其中省部级以上奖励39项,国家技术发明二等奖1项、国家科技进步二等奖2项。1978年以来学校获得10项国家级科技奖励。中央电视台新闻联播、科技博览等节目曾多次对学校克隆牛、仿生农药等科技成果给予报道。经过多年的学科建设,学校在仿生农药、动物克隆技术、菌根及海洋真菌、农作物和果树育种、动物繁育、植物保护、旱作农业、根茎类作物生产机械装备、动物疫病控制、食品加工、天然活性物质、农业传播学、农民专业合作社等领域的研究处于国内领先或国际先进水平,形成了较强的学科优势,在国内外具有一定的影响。

四、社会服务

学校积极探索产学研一体化的办学路子,在科技成果转化和社会服务方面取得了丰硕的成果。早在上世纪70年代,学校就首创全国北方小麦大面积亩产超千斤栽培理论与技术,80年代首创全国夏玉米大面积超千斤栽培理论与技术,90年代又创造了旱地小麦大面积亩产超千斤和夏花生大面积超800斤栽培理论与技术,为我国北方地区的粮油生产和畜牧业发展作出了突出的贡献。进入新世纪,学校根据大农业的发展态势,积极拓展社会服务领域,先后与青岛、烟台等9地市,乳山、沂源等20余个县市区建立了全面战略合作关系,在6个县市区建立产学研综合示范服务基地、特色产业服务基地,在200多家企业和合作社建立专家工作站和专家大院,搭建了服务社会的广阔平台,年承担社会服务项目200余项,培训各类人才4万余人次,有效的推动了区域农业经济发展,科技服务的区域遍及山东省各地,并延伸到东北三省及新疆、贵州、云南、安徽、内蒙古等15个省市自治区。近几年来,学校建设区域性研发中心6个,在东营市毛坨村建立“青岛农业大学黄河三角洲研究院”,与栖霞市共建“青岛农业大学栖霞苹果产业发展研究院”,与即墨市共建“青岛农业大学即墨现代都市农业研究院”,创建了产学研合作新模式。“十二五”以来,有40余项技术和品种被山东省和青岛市确定为主推技术和主导品种,11项科技成果向企业转让,产生了显著的经济社会效益。学校多次被省政府评为全省农业科研与技术推广先进单位。

五、党建和精神文明建设

学校始终坚持以邓小平理论、“三个代表”重要思想和科学发展观为指导,坚持社会主义办学方向,认真贯彻党的教育方针,不断加强和改进党建和思想政治工作。学校连续多次荣获“党建和思想政治工作先进高等学校”、“全国先进基层党组织”等荣誉称号。

六、国际合作与交流

学校不断推进国际化战略和开放战略,国际合作与交流不断加强。已与美国康奈尔、韩国首尔大学、荷兰瓦赫宁根大学、英国阿伯泰·邓迪大学等20个国家和地区的78所高校和科研机构建立了学术交流和合作关系,双方互派访问学者和交流学生,开展合作研究。

I. Historical evolution and present situation

Qingdao Agricultural University, formerly known as Laiyang Agricultural College, was founded in 1951. Qingdao Campus was established with the approval of Shandong Provincial Government in 2001, and its name was changed to “Qingdao Agricultural University” by the Ministry of Education in March 2007. The address of the school was changed from Laiyang City to Chengyang District of Qingdao City.

Since its establishment, the school has trained more than 80000 full-time graduates for the society. Sun Zhengcai, member of the political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, and Li Denghai, an expert in corn breeding, are outstanding representatives of alumni. In the long-term process of running a school, the school has formed the distinct characteristics of “committed to agriculture, rural areas and farmers, diligent and realistic, continuous self-improvement, the pursuit of excellence, and training high-quality applied talents”. The school was excellent in the undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation organized by the former State Education Commission in 1997 and the undergraduate teaching level evaluation organized by the Ministry of Education in 2007. In 2012, the school was rated as the first batch of “famous schools with characteristics for the training of applied talents in Shandong Province”.

At present, the school has developed into a multidisciplinary university with the coordinated development of agriculture, engineering, science, economics, management, law, arts and other disciplines. There are schools of agronomy and plant protection, resources and environment, horticulture, gardening and forestry, animal science and technology, marine science and engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, architectural engineering, life sciences, food science and engineering, economics and management, humanities and social sciences, science and information science (software and service outsourcing), animation and media, art, College of Foreign languages, College of Chemistry and Pharmacy, College of Cooperatives, College of continuing Education, College of International Education Exchange and Haidu College (independent college), Department of physical Education. It holds 77 undergraduate majors, 13 first-tier disciplines authorized for master’s degrees, 4 master’s degree authorization points and 78 second-level master’s degree programs. At present, there are more than 28000 full-time college students and graduate students.

The school has two campuses of Qingdao and Laiyang and Jiaozhou Modern Agricultural Science and Technology demonstration Park, covering an area of 3616 mu and a school building area of more than 790000 square meters. The total value of instruments and equipment reached 289 million yuan. The library has a paper collection of 2.1796 million books and 2.4863 million e-books.

The school now has 1493 full-time teachers, including 619 with senior titles, 523 with doctorate and 792 with master’s degree. There are 17 experts who enjoy the special allowance of the State Council, 9 specially appointed professors (experts) of “Taishan Scholars”, 1 selected as the “Outstanding talents support Program of the New Century” of the Ministry of Education, 1 “young and middle-aged scientific and technological innovation leaders” of the Ministry of Science and Technology. 6 experts from the Teaching steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, 6 national excellent teachers, 17 young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions from Shandong Province, 11 famous teachers from Shandong Province and 24 doctoral supervisors. There are 5 chief experts of key disciplines (laboratories) in Shandong Province, 7 post scientists of national modern agricultural industry technology system, and 1 director of national forage industry technology system comprehensive test station. Shandong modern agricultural industry technology system innovation team chief expert 5, post expert 40, comprehensive test station director 5, there are 7 provincial excellent teaching teams and 1 Shandong university excellent scientific research innovation team. The school has two national R & D and promotion platforms, the National Local Joint Engineering Research Center and the New Rural Development Research Institute, which are the core technologies of the animation industry, and participated in the construction of the national wheat and corn engineering laboratory. it has led and participated in the construction of 5 provincial collaborative innovation centers, with 8 Shandong key disciplines, 2 Shandong key laboratories and 7 Shandong engineering (technical) research centers. There are 4 key laboratories of Shandong universities, 1 humanities and social sciences research base of Shandong universities, 3 Shandong international (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) science and technology cooperation platforms, 3 provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers, 3 Qingdao key disciplines, 3 Qingdao key laboratories, 6 Qingdao engineering (technology) research centers, 5 Qingdao international science and technology cooperation bases, 42 research institutes. It has a modern agricultural technology training base of the Ministry of Agriculture and a practical training base of farmers’ professional cooperatives of the Ministry of Agriculture. National Science and Technology Commissioner Entrepreneurship training Base, National Animation Creative Industry Base Talent training and Research Center, China Rural Development Research Institute, China Agricultural products Circulation and Brokerage Research Institute and Qingdao training Center, China Ostrich Disease Prevention and Control Center, Qingdao Agricultural Mechanization Advanced personnel training Base and Cornell University BTI– Qingdao Agricultural University invertebrate Cell Culture and Cell Engineering Center, International Cooperative Economic Development Research Center, China-Korea Food Biotechnology Research Institute, China-UK Food Research Institute and other Chinese and foreign cooperative research institutions.

II. Teaching work

The school gives priority to undergraduate education, actively develops graduate education, and moderately develops continuing education. Efforts should be made to cultivate compound and applied high-quality professionals with noble value pursuit, persistent professional spirit, rigorous and simple work style, outstanding innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, strong practical ability and strong sense of social responsibility. Facing the “agriculture, rural areas and farmers”, we should train agricultural science and technology workers who are determined to promote China’s agricultural modernization, possess the basic knowledge and basic skills of modern agricultural science and technology, actively popularize modern agricultural technology, and “go down, stay, use, and do a good job”. A complete experimental teaching and on-campus training system has been built, and more than 200 stable off-campus practical teaching bases have been built through the combination of production, learning and research. At present, two majors in the school have been approved by the Ministry of Education for the comprehensive reform of undergraduate specialties and the reform of the excellent agricultural and forestry personnel training plan, 3 national off-campus practical education bases for college students, 4 national characteristic majors, and 2 provincial talent training mode innovation experimental areas.

There are 19 provincial brands, characteristics and pilot majors, and 49 provincial project construction courses. Since the 12th five-year Plan, it has won 11 excellent teaching achievement awards in Shandong Province. The school attaches importance to the education of innovation and entrepreneurship of college students, pays close attention to the construction of the style of study, and has formed an excellent school spirit. After years of discipline construction, the school is in the domestic leading or international advanced level in the fields of bionic pesticides, animal cloning technology, mycorrhizal and marine fungi, crop and fruit tree breeding, animal breeding, plant protection, dry farming agriculture, machinery and equipment for root crop production, animal disease control, food processing, natural active substances, agricultural communication, farmers’ professional cooperatives and so on. It has a certain influence at home and abroad.

IV. Social services

The school has actively explored the way to run a school with the integration of industry, university and research, and has made fruitful achievements in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and social services. As early as the 1970s, the school initiated the cultivation theory and technology of large area yield per mu of wheat in northern China, the theory and technology of large area over 1000 jin of summer corn in the 1980s, and the cultivation theory and technology of dryland wheat per mu and summer peanut in the 1990s. It has made outstanding contributions to the grain and oil production and the development of animal husbandry in the north of China. In the new century, according to the development trend of large-scale agriculture, the school has actively expanded the field of social services, and has successively established comprehensive strategic cooperative relations with more than 20 counties, cities, including Qingdao, Yantai, Rushan and Yiyuan. Industry-university-research comprehensive demonstration service bases and characteristic industrial service bases have been established in 6 counties, cities and districts, expert workstations and expert courtyards have been set up in more than 200 enterprises and cooperatives, and a broad platform has been built to serve the society. Every year, it undertakes more than 200 social service projects and trains more than 40,000 talents of all kinds, effectively promoting the development of regional agricultural economy, serving areas of science and technology throughout Shandong Province, and extending to the three northeastern provinces and 15 provinces, cities and autonomous regions such as Xinjiang, Guizhou, Yunnan, Anhui and Inner Mongolia. In recent years, the school has built six regional R & D centers, set up “Yellow River Delta Research Institute of Qingdao Agricultural University” in Maotuo Village of Dongying City, and jointly built “Qixia Apple Industrial Development Research Institute of Qingdao Agricultural University” with Qixia City. Jointly built “Jimo Modern Urban Agriculture Research Institute of Qingdao Agricultural University” with Jimo City, created a new model of industry-university-research cooperation. Since the 12th five-year Plan, more than 40 technologies and varieties have been mainly promoted by Shandong Province and Qingdao, and 11 scientific and technological achievements have been transferred to enterprises, resulting in significant economic and social benefits. The school has been rated as an advanced unit of agricultural scientific research and technology popularization by the provincial government for many times.

V. Party Building and spiritual Civilization

The school always adheres to the guidance of Deng Xiaoping Theory, the important thinking of “three represents” and the scientific concept of development, adheres to the socialist direction of running a school, conscientiously implements the party’s educational policy, and constantly strengthens and improves party building and ideological and political work. The school has won many honorary titles such as “Advanced institutions of higher Learning in Party Building and ideological and political work” and “National Advanced Grass-roots Party organizations”.

VI. International Cooperation and Exchange

The school has continuously promoted the internationalization strategy and opening strategy, and international cooperation and exchanges have been continuously strengthened. Academic exchanges and cooperation have been established with 78 universities and research institutions in 20 countries and regions, including Cornell in the United States, Seoul University in South Korea, Wageningen University in the Netherlands, and Aberdeen University in the United Kingdom. The two sides have sent visiting scholars and exchange students to carry out cooperative research.
