佛山科学技术学院的简介

佛山科学技术学院地处历史文化底蕴深厚、经济社会发展活力强劲的城市——广东省佛山市,是一所国家正式批准设立的全日制本科大学。学校办学历史可追溯到1958年创办的佛山师范专科学校和华南农学院佛山分院。1995年3月国家教委批准佛山大学和佛山农牧高等专科学校合并组建佛山科学技术学院,2005年经广东省人民政府批准佛山职工医学院和佛山教育学院并入佛山科学技术学院。2002年学校顺利通过教育部组织的本科教学工作合格评价,2007年以优良成绩通过教育部组织的本科教学工作水平评估,
2013年7月经国务院学位委员会批准为硕士学位授予单位,机械工程、兽医学、土木工程等三个学科成为我校首批一级学科授权点,2014年正式开始招收硕士研究生。学校现分为校本部、北院、河滨路、同济西路四个校区,占地面积2210.7亩,建筑面积34.81万平方米。迄今为止,已为地方经济社会发展培养各类专业人才12万余人。

学校设有13个二级学院:文学院、政法学院、理学院、机械与电气工程学院、电子与信息工程学院、陶瓷(珠宝)艺术设计学院、环境与土木建筑学院、生命科学学院、经济管理学院、医学院、教育科学学院、体育学院、食品与园艺学院。本科专业54个,涵盖了经济学、法学、教育学、文学、理学、工学、农学、医学、管理学、艺术学等十大学科门类。

学校现有教职工1453人,其中专任教师808人。全校专业技术人员中具有正高职称152人,副高职称394人;具有博士学位教师219人,硕士学位教师623人。此外,聘请世界著名科学家杨振宁博士、丁肇中博士及国内知名专家学者为名誉教授。学校现有普通全日制在校生14416人,成人学历教育学生6774人。

学校坚持“育人为本、质量立校、特色办学”以及“教学是立校之本,科研是强校之路,人才是发展关键”的办学理念,坚持以满足地方所需人才培养为根本任务,以本科教学工作为中心,以学科专业建设为重点,以科研促进教学,大力开展科学研究与学科建设,积极探索创新人才培养模式,培养具有引领意识、创业精神和实践能力的应用型高级专门人才。学校先后获国家级教学成果二等奖1项;获省级教学成果奖21项;省级精品开放课程4门、精品课程2门、重点课程7门。拥有动物医学、土木工程国家级特色专业建设点及机械设计制造及其自动化、国际经济与贸易、动物科学等5个省级特色专业建设点;机电技术中心、生物基础教学中心、化学实验教学中心等3个省级实验教学示范中心;1个省级人才培养模式创新实验区,1个国家级大学生校外实践教学基地和4个省级大学生校外实践教学基地。

学校紧密结合地方经济社会发展需要开展科学研究和科技成果转化,取得明显成效。2009-2013年,学校承担国家级项目34项,其中国家自然科学基金项目31项,国家社会科学基金项目3项;承担省、部级项目140项;市厅级项目336项,横向课题1362项,15项科研成果通过了省级科技成果鉴定,其中8项为国内先进,7项为国内领先。获得市厅级以上科技奖励59项,其中广东省科技进步奖4项,广东省农业技术推广奖11项。获得专利63项,计算机软件著作权登记3项。学校科研经费逐年快速增长,2008~2012年科研经费总数共计3.28亿元。根据广东省教育厅公布的广东省普通高等学校科研经费统计数据,我校2011年、2012年均排名第十。

学校积极推进与地方政府、企业进行产学研合作,推动“校区(局/镇)联动工程”,先后与高明区、顺德区、佛山市科技局、清远市农业局等11个政府部门、行业签订了战略合作协议,同时还与企业共建产学研基地88个、联合实验室2个、工程技术中心1个,产业化示范基地1个,产学研协同创新基地4个。学校共有49人作为
“广东省企业科技特派员”派驻到企业,3个科研团队、15人作为“广东省农村科技特派员”派驻到农村地区,为地方产业发展提供技术支撑。

学校目前有预防兽医学、机械制造及其自动化2个广东省特色重点学科,1个广东省人文社科研究基地即广东省广府文化研究基地,1个广东高校重点实验室即预防兽医学实验室,以及现代制造装备工程技术开发中心、土建工程技术开发中心、畜禽疾病诊断防控技术中心等3个广东高校技术开发中心。

学校重视国际交流与合作,先后与英国、美国、德国、新西兰、澳大利亚、莫桑比克以及香港等10余所国(境)外高校建立了友好校际关系,进行长期的学术交流、科研合作和联合培养研究生;与澳大利亚皇家墨尔本理工大学等国(境)外著名高校开展形式多样的学生交流活动;促进了学校人才培养和整体学术水平提高。近年来,我校数百名毕业生到国外攻读学位,近百名在职教师出国做访问学者或攻读学位。

学校坚持社会主义办学方向,大力加强党建和思想政治工作,建设良好的校风、教风和学风,营造良好的育人环境,开展丰富多彩的校园科技文化活动,学生的创新精神和实践能力显著增强,我校毕业生近三年总体就业率均在99%以上。2008~2013年学生参加各级各类科技文化竞赛,共获省级及以上奖533个,其中国家级232项,省级414项。

学校已确定的“十二五”发展目标是:到2015年,将学校建成应用型人才培养特色明显、优势学科突出、科研与服务社会能力明显增强、综合实力居省内同类院校前列、在全国有一定影响的有特色、高质量的教学型地方综合大学。目前,学校正按照“理工为主、综合发展”的构想,稳步实施“十二五”规划与“三步走”战略,并以朝气蓬勃的活力、兼容并蓄的开放姿态和锐意创新的改革精神,立足地方,面向基层,朝着建设有特色高质量的地方综合大学的目标迈进。

Foshan Institute of Science and Technology is located in Foshan City, Guangdong Province, which has profound historical and cultural heritage and strong vitality of economic and social development. It is a full-time undergraduate university officially approved by the state. The history of the school can be traced back to Foshan normal College and Foshan Branch of South China Agricultural College, which was founded in 1958. In March 1995, the State Education Commission approved the merger of Foshan University and Foshan College of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry to form Foshan College of Science and Technology. Foshan Medical College of staff and Workers and Foshan Institute of Education were approved by the people’s Government of Guangdong Province in 2005. In 2002, the school successfully passed the qualification evaluation of undergraduate teaching organized by the Ministry of Education, and passed the undergraduate teaching level evaluation organized by the Ministry of Education in 2007 with excellent results.

Approved by the academic degree Committee of the State Council to award master’s degrees in July 2013, mechanical engineering, veterinary medicine and civil engineering became the first batch of first-tier discipline authorization points of our university, and officially began to enroll postgraduates in 2014. The school is now divided into four campuses: school headquarters, Beiyuan, Hebin Road and Tongjixi Road, covering an area of 2210.7 mu and a construction area of 348100 square meters. So far, it has trained more than 120000 professionals for local economic and social development.

The school has 13 secondary colleges: Liberal Arts, Politics and Law, Science, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Electronic and Information Engineering, Ceramic (Jewelry) Art and Design, Environment and Civil Architecture, Life Sciences, Economics and Management, Medical College, School of Education and Science, physical Education, Food and Horticulture. There are 54 undergraduate majors, covering ten disciplines, such as economics, law, pedagogy, literature, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, art and so on.

The school closely combines the needs of local economic and social development to carry out scientific research and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and has achieved remarkable results. From 2009 to 2013, the school undertook 34 national projects, including 31 national natural science fund projects, 3 national social science fund projects, 336 provincial and ministerial projects, and 1362 horizontal projects. 15 scientific research achievements have passed the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements at the provincial level, of which 8 are domestic advanced and 7 are domestic leading. Won 59 science and technology awards above the municipal level, including 4 Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Awards and 11 Guangdong Agricultural Technology Popularization Awards. It has obtained 63 patents and 3 copyright registration of computer software. The scientific research funds of the school are increasing rapidly year by year, with a total of 328 million yuan in 2008-2012. According to the statistics of scientific research funds of ordinary colleges and universities in Guangdong Province released by the Department of Education of Guangdong Province, our school ranked 10th in 2011 and 2012.

The school actively promotes industry-university-research cooperation with local governments and enterprises, and promotes the “campus (bureau / town) linkage project”. Strategic cooperation agreements have been signed with 11 government departments and industries, including Gaoming District, Shunde District, Foshan Science and Technology Bureau, Qingyuan Agricultural Bureau, etc. At the same time, 88 industry-university-research bases, 2 joint laboratories, 1 engineering and technology center and 1 industrialization demonstration base have been jointly built with enterprises. There are 4 industry-university-research collaborative innovation bases. There are 49 students in the school.

“Guangdong Enterprise Science and Technology Commissioner” is stationed to enterprises, and 3 scientific research teams and 15 people are stationed in rural areas as “Guangdong Rural Science and Technology Commissioner” to provide technical support for the development of local industries.

At present, the school has two Guangdong characteristic key disciplines, namely preventive veterinary medicine, machinery manufacturing and automation, one Guangdong humanities and social sciences research base, namely Guangdong Guangfu cultural research base, and one Guangdong university key laboratory, namely preventive veterinary medicine laboratory. And three university technology development centers in Guangdong, such as Modern Manufacturing equipment Engineering Technology Development Center, Civil Engineering Technology Development Center, Livestock and Poultry Disease diagnosis and Prevention and Control Technology Center.

The school attaches importance to international exchanges and cooperation, and has established friendly intercollegiate relations with more than 10 foreign universities, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, Mozambique and Hong Kong. to carry out long-term academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation and joint training of graduate students; to carry out various forms of student exchange activities with famous universities outside Australia, such as the Royal Melbourne University of Technology in Australia. It has promoted the training of talents and the improvement of the overall academic level in the school. In recent years, hundreds of graduates of our school have gone abroad to study for degrees, and nearly 100 in-service teachers have gone abroad to study as visiting scholars or degrees.

The school adheres to the socialist direction of running a school, vigorously strengthens party building and ideological and political work, builds a good school spirit, teaching style and style of study, creates a good educational environment, and carries out rich and colorful campus scientific, technological and cultural activities.
