山西农业大学

山西农业大学是我国著名的高等农业学府，全国重点高校，教育部本科教学工作水平评估优秀高校，山西省人民政府与农业部共同建设的省部共建高校。

学校具有优良的办学传统。学校始建于1907年，初名私立铭贤学堂，创始人为孔祥熙，后发展为私立铭贤农工专科学校、私立铭贤学院;1951年改私立为公办，成立山西农学院;1979年更名为山西农业大学，列入全国重点院校。在百余年的办学实践中，学校立足山西，面向全国，服务“三农”，不断提高人才培养质量、科技创新水平和社会服务能力，推进文化传承创新，为山西乃至全国的经济建设与社会发展作出了重要贡献，铸就了“崇学事农、艰苦兴校”的办学精神，积淀了“甘于奉献、敬业乐教”的教风，“勤奋学习、注重实践”的学风。

学校大力服务地方经济社会发展。在服务“三农”的办学实践中，学校形成了十大优势和特色研究领域，八大优势和特色科技服务体系。近几年，积极推进“一村一品，一县一业”专项服务行动和“百团大战”专项服务行动，有近百支科技服务团队活跃在生产实践一线，有21个项目列入了国务院农村综合改革试点“新型农业社会化服务体系”建设项目，34个项目列入山西省农业技术推广示范行动项目。学校先后与晋城、晋中、运城等市，与泽州、祁县、榆次、盂县等县区签订了特色现代农业科技合作协议;在太谷县建设现代农业科技创新园区;与武乡鑫四海、洪洞天泽、太原康培等现代农业企业共建示范园区。通过项目带动，基地示范，打造了高叶酸小米、优质石磨面粉、晋香黑猪肉、钙果蜜饯、钙果酒、孢子粉、壶瓶枣、贵妃鸡蛋、蜂王浆冻干粉胶囊等近百个特色产品。学校是山西省农民教育和农村干部培训的重要基地。改革开放以来累计培训涉农管理干部、技术人员、企业家等300万人次。近年来通过山西省“分类送学”、“阳光工程”等项目，提高了培训工作的组织化、规模化水平。

学校积极推进对外合作交流。与美国欧柏林大学有长达百余年的合作历史。与德国安哈尔特应用科技大学合作培养本科生，累计派出1100余名学生。与台湾朝阳科技大学、波兰热舒夫信息科技与管理大学等学校开展交换生项目。与美国、德国、澳大利亚、英国、爱尔兰、新西兰等十余个国家的高校开展合作交流。改革开放以来，先后有400余位外国专家、教师来校讲学、授课;学校先后派出200多人次出国学习进修。

学校享有花园式学府盛誉。校园建设古今交融，中西合璧，园中有园，文明和谐，是读书治学的圣地，修身养德的圣地。校园占地面积2240亩，建筑面积65万平方米，毗邻同蒲铁路、大西高铁、108国道、太太公路、太长高速、龙城高速，到太原市区、武宿机场均在1小时车程内。“山西铭贤学校旧址”是全国重点文物保护单位，完整保存了清代至民国时期的建筑群，是山西省近代教育史、农业发展史、中西文化教育交流史的鲜活史料。学校是全国绿化模范单位，校园绿化面积达50万平方米，主校区绿化覆盖率达85%以上，草坪面积14万平方米，绿篱1.1万平米，乔灌木3万余株，绿化树种420余种，百年以上古稀树木有100余株，名贵、稀有树种50余种。学校教育资源雄厚，有纸质藏书140余万册，纸质期刊500余册，电子期刊2万余种，仪器设备总值2亿余元，为师生员工的学习、生活及开展学术文化交流活动提供了良好保障。
